Thanks for making this comparison video. Love them both! But going to purchased a 37D as the sale price is almost half of the 37E.😊 Good enough for a beginner.
Excellent comparison and explanation between the two models. Very helpful. Thanks to your video, I am going to purchase the Yamaha Pianica (Melodica) P-37EBR. Suggestion for future videos. Please use landscape view when recording so that the full screen opens up to display.
Thank you so much! I totally agree with your choice between the two Yamahas. Any other unique well built melodica you can recommend similar to the Yamaha P37E Is there a better offering today in 2021 around $150? and do you know if they sell skins/covers for melodicas?
A Suzuki Pro or a high-end Horner would be my next recommendations, but I haven't gotten to experiment enough with those brands to give a solid recommendation.
Hi Joseph and others, thanks for you enthousiastic review. I recently bought a Suzuki M-37C Melodion, it was badly out of tune (ranging from 10-40 cents!). However the shop just argued that melodica's are always a bit high. I could return it though, and got a yamaha 37E, tuning is 4-25 cents high. Still a bit beyond nice to me. Is that acceptable for these high grade instruments, and should I get used to doing this myself? I could see that in this clip your 37E is also a bit high at places, but mostly below 20 cents.
I have wanted one for a few months but I still can’t decide. The big concern is it coming out of tune and not staying in tune. Taking it apart and filing is daunting and sounds time consuming. I love the sound of the E. Have been going back and forth between Suzuki and Yamaha and a couple of economically priced ones. What about tuning Joseph?
I don't tune my melodicas. I have had the E a year and a half longer, and you can tell the difference. I really love the E and use it all the time over the D.
@@jrscisneros he says thank you for the very enlightening video. As he likes a darker and warmer tone, he will go for the 37E. I could not find the E in my country, so I will have to purchase the 37D. Do you think it is still a good choice or should I look for another brand?
My P37D just arrived today and it is horrendously out of tune. It's in worse tune than my old, cheap $20 vangoa melodica. I am going to return it, would you suggest trying out the P37E? Was yours in better tune when you first bought it?
Searched for this exact comparison and your video is the only one. Did not disappoint. Thanks.
I’m glad I could be of service! I take Melodica very seriously.

Thanks, David! I appreciate your feedback, and I am glad you picked a great melodica!
Oh my god, I LOVE YOUR ENERGY! Thank you for the very thorough and cocise review :D
It’s my pleasure. Thank you for kind words. :)
Soooo good review🎉
Thank you!! 😁 I need to do more.
Thank you for comparison!
My pleasure! Thanks for watching.
Thanks. You helped me quite a bit!!!
Im so glad!
High notes on the E sound like woodwind 👍
Yeah they really go up there
I still be getting the P-37E when there's one available.
Good choice
great video thanks
Thank you 🙏🏼

Thanks for sharing! Melodicas are indeed usually a bit off in my experience. It’s annoying.
fantastic video
I appreciate that!

1:05 wait, whats that melody?
Dire dire docks
Thanks for your
Welcome! 🙏🏼
Would you recommend Suzuki M-37C over this one? I'm getting my first Melodica
I’ve been meaning to compare the two of those melodicas. I would take the Yamaha as the first Melodica.
Olá, muito obrigado pelo vídeo foi muito esclarecedor. Gosto de um som mais escuro, e menos brilhante a 37E será excelente. Muito obrigado. 🇧🇷
I wish I understood you 🥺

I think it’s still a great choice. :)
If we compare YAMAHA P-37E and SUZUKI M-37C, which one do you think is better in terms of sound and build quality?!
I should do a video on that.
Thanks for your video. I just need to buy one
Cool! Which one are you getting?

Such a bummer! My D and E were both in good shape. I like the E more though for sure.
@@jrscisneros thank you for the insight! I ended up going with a Suzuki M-37C and it is very nice tune! Not perfect, but close enough :)
Dear Sir, Should I buy Yamaha Pianica P-37D or P-37EBR? I like a instrument having better sound quality.
I would buy the P37D if you like a brighter, crisper tone and the P37E if you like a smoother, darker tone. I chose the P37E, and I have no regrets.
Did you mean the p37d will be broken easily ?
I like the sound of p37d more
The other one sounds like a duck 😮
Thanks for video, I have Yamaha P32D, and Angel Melodyhorn AM-37K3
🇲🇨🌈😮😉🙂😃😊😇😇🌈🇲🇨
Oooh. I gotta look up the latter one.
