even with that condition you can clearly tell the sound of this car is gonna be great. it is already hitting higher pitch than most modern f12 ferraris (including laferrari) without reving to 11k. i hope they could work on a better livery or test drive one that has no livery on it at all. very excited about this car.
No frustration when you are being properly challenged at the wheel.....
I do not know for any more exciting car that is arriving (not even Mercedes).
Sounds like an old V12 F1 car. Man that Cosworth V12 sounds incredible.
It's missing a certain high pitch to make it incredible like they put something to soften the sound, listen to the Aston Martin Vulcan to understand what I mean. The Valkyrie still has a good sound though
@@Afronaut64 Probably the exhaust. If Aston Martin released it with a 12 to 1 exhaust, then it might sound at a higher pitch. But since this is a road legal car, so the CAT migh have soften the sound a bit.
@@Afronaut64 the high pitch sound in the exhaust is still there but it has been muffled given that the engine itself now can rev high enough to match the exhaust sound.

This car has to be the greatest modern day supercar ever, this is the McLaren F1 of this decade
I have to disagree.
While the Valkyrie is an astonishing machine, it is more like a race car for the road. It pushes road car legislation to see how close to a race car it can be.
The F1 on the other hand, was primarily designed as a road car (although it ended up as a successful race car). It was designed to hold 3 passengers in comfort and had good driving visibility with a reasonable amount of luggage space. The biggest compromise as a road car, was access to the central driving position - which was essential for the 3 passengers layout.
Both are fantastic machines, but born of completely different visions.
Gordon Murrays T50 will be the spiritual successor to the F1.
More like a Ferrari F50 than the LaFerrari did

@@emmanuelferguson fair enough with that perspective. I just find the Valkyrie to be too much of a road legal (unrestricted) race car than a proper supercar.
I love the Valkyrie all the same, just think it is too compromised to be a proper road car.
@@chazziginnit But driving that on the road would be like wearing four condoms at the same time. What would be the point? You'd be over the legal limit most places in first gear probably, before using even half the rev range. What little they'll get driven will be more for demonstration of socio-economic superiority than driving skills.
Sadly, most of them will probably even barely get driven on the road, much less pounded hard on the track. They'll sit in rooms with shiny floors and lots of battery chargers.

@Junior e39 ///M5, Toyota is making a car for the hypercar class at Le Mans. Although Gazoo Racing is a worthy competitor, it looks as if Aston Martin wants to be the McLaren F1 of modern times, and in that case are pretty serious about that win.
@@carsonyoder6294 exactly, but i think what with the experiencie acumulated in WEC Toyota would beat AM in Le mans and the championship, they have experienced drivers, now how to race, and how to beat great rivals (they already beat porsche in 2017, for the championship and almost beat them in 2016 in Le mans), besides they broke their "curse" in Le mans, and Peugeot recently anounce their comeback to WEC, í really like the Valkirye but not everything gonna be easy for them...
happy that this car is out of price range for (most) youtubers.. Let's hope people who buy this car wont ruin this master piece with customisation or dumb wraps...
Sadly the people who do buy it will probably leave it in a garage for 5 year with 1 mile on the clock then sell it for 2x retail.

Quite a swansong the IC vehicles are enjoying. Nice to see this kind of propulsion peaking in a halo vehicle like this one, before it be becomes obsolete.

@@chasecrosson They have all those legendary and commendable Bugatti and Ferrari records. They dont want a English car company owning non English Euro tracks lol. Dont think Aston Martin cannot produce a midengine hypercar that will test Bugatti.

I imagine it's in a less aggressive rain mode, so smoother shifts as to not cause instability when coming out of a corner
Their working on a transmission for it right now, and in the meantime they used the six speed from the head engineers mum's wagon.

Its only flaw is the super small hybrid side. Imagine it had a front motor as well. Some in F1 as light as 8 kg or less. For 160 hp.
Commercially, there is a lot available with more power at still manageable weight.
Curious why Mercedes, despite over a century in the business, felt it prudent to stick an actual F1 engine in a hypercar. Lighter? I'm not sure.
The underside of the car is just ........Wow! Aston Martin has killed it with the styling of this car. It is just beautiful. The only problem now is Valkyrie or Jesko?
Valkryie will anally devastate Jesko on literally every tracks save for long ass straights (ie. Runways)
Jesko wins in terms of top end speed while the Valk is the strongest in corners, if anything it is the most balanced car.
No doubt the Valkyrie Vs Jesko during cornering will be like a prop plane Vs jet fighter.

Agreed. But, a little more sharp. If you look at the light trim and rear airpath duct it looks like it had more advanced cutting and even more pathways intricately set up in the back. This British aero race car is defintitely a hell of alot more stronger than anything Ferrari has made. Besides the Enzo and 288 gto evoluzione.
