Those heads are fantastic. I like dealing with John Partridge at Bullet cams. Two engines in the shop now with their custom camshaft. That engine you are building would be great in my 67 Comet. 🏁
Hello Brent, when assembling valves into their guides on a performance motor, do you like to feel by hand a little bit of wiggle clearance versus a street head, how much difference you like to see on clearance on the valve guiedes?
Nice job! I do have one question regarding inserting the valves through the seals during assembly. I always have used a thin plastic cover shield over the valve-stem lock groove to protect the seal. Is that not necessary anymore for some reason? I did hear David Vizard mention in one of his videos that a particular type of seal is not damaged by the groove and the valve can be installed without the cover shield. Is that the reason and if so, what type of seals are they? Thank you my friend. Keep up the great work!
@Lykins Motorsports ok is it cause it's a softer mutual that the value I'm just trying to understand the thinking I work diesel engines for a living always looking for more knowledge I also have a fe390
Always love learning about F.E.'s from the master's thank you for posting!
this is Tom Smith from fired up garage ! i wear a 2XL long shirt or my belly shows ! LOVE your work !
Jesus! Look at that short turn! An FE's dream come true.
Tank you for your knowledge 💪🏽 USA 🇺🇸 USA 🇺🇸
Must be nice to have these kind of toys.Enjoyed this. Very good@
I absolutely enjoy your video's, been a Ford guy all my life.
Those look like some serious pieces. Definitely gonna check out the interview video soon,
Wow, 430 CFM on intake valve thats a lot, most BBC won't go that much !!!!
Wow! nice parts. Thanks Brent

Nice set of heads!
Wish I could afford one of your builds. I'm gonna have to settle for edelbrock heads on a home build.
Is there a reason you don't do any 526 cu.in. builds?

We either use pilot mandrels for the guides or use a mic/bore gauge to check clearances.

Why would you want to use the valve seats that are being used in this case of the 496 engine? I have not heard of these tpy seats before
These are the best seats for titanium valves.

It's about heat transfer. The BeCu seats transfer more heat into the head and away from the valves.
@@lykinsmotorsports ok cool that makes sense thanks for the information
Hi Brent,
Do you index the spark plugs on any of your builds?
Cant wait to see the end result of this wicked FE build!
Wrong size Valve seals, box says 11/32"
Yep, I caught that. Just didn't edit it out. I had grabbed the wrong boxes off the shelf. Thanks for looking out for me.
This is going to be a very interesting engine, are you going to dyno it
