Same issue was present in my bike also. Got the tensioner replaced. It's not too big a trouble. You can ride it but don't ride hard. We don't know. Anything can happen. If the timing chain breaks, your bike will suffer high mechanical damages and you will suffer both mental and financial damages.

Yes,its the tensioner which causes the tick tick sound like a sewing machine. If the bike gives white smoke at high revs, then its the piston or the valve oil seal.

Bhai mere duke 250 me rear side se tak tak awaz aa rahi hai kharab roads pe ...service center wale bol rahe hai ye souund chain swingarm ko hit kar rahi hai uska hai.....chain tight karwa li par acche se clean aur lube bhi karwa liya ....tab bhi ye awaz bhot aa rahi hai ....or muje to ni lagra ye chain ki hai....kyunki jab me haath se pichle tyre ko tap kar raha hu tab bhi ye awaz tak tak aa rahi hai....jaise koi fiber kis cheez se takra raha hai ...kya ye sabhi ktm bikes me aati hai?

Its not the problem i have BS6 JULY model Dominar 400 u all know same duke 373 engine bajaj using, from 4500 km sound coming same sound... Now i got checked youtube lots of video, its the shim noise, Head assembly coming noise, its called Shim, and now i cloaked 3rd service 11000 so im going to change it on warranty otherwise they will charge mostly 7k
My R15V2 also makes sound like this little bit. Tried to repair it in showroom. They just refused to perform any repairs and said your engine is completely running fine. But I know the noise because riding it since 30k km. Something is not right. But can't get it fixed by guys who don't even consider it as a problem.

Esa same incident mere sath hua Tha Maine apni starcity ka clutch plates change Kiya Tha ar usme see aawaj aane lgi thi initially Mai Dr gaya Tha ar lg Raha Tha ki khrab na ho jaye but baad me pta chala normal hai vo ar kuch dn me aawaj and bhi ho gai thi. Usi tym Maine alibagh ki trip Bhi Mari thi us bike pe Dr Dr ke.....
Find out a ktm showroom in nearby city. I dnt think this can be solved by a mechanic but do give it a try if there is no ktm showroom nearby. May be mechanic will fix it temporarily
@@WanderSaneTV Bro thanks for your suggestion. But when I visited the showroom in mysore they told that the engine work has to done blah blah, and service cost will be around 15k and delivery 1 week. But I couldn't afford to leave my bike there and go back to Bangalore. I somehow managed to come back to Bangalore with the problem, and rushed into KTM showroom here and was told that the tensioner has to be changed. I don't understand why the guy in KTM Mysore told me something else and started telling that the engine will cease etc etc. What do you think about this bro? Were they trying to scam me as I was a traveller? I'm really confused.
