    6.5k for a new bike in 2004, oh how times have changed. I'm looking at a used 2004 gsx-1400 6k miles, right now and it's 8k. yikes

    Remove centre stand, Shove a full akra or yoshi on it and firm up the superb fully adjustable suspension. That's it. The 14 is a giant motard monster. It has bollocks like cantaloupes.

    Future classic, pretty iconic already. If you have one keep it, they are making silly money. Keep it original as possible, blue and white paint scheme they will be making 10k in a few years.

    “Lacking in the midrange”? It pulls your face off there. Did you leave it in sixth all test?

      I thought the same; how can a 1402 cc bike lack in that range?

    • @samuelkearney880
      @samuelkearney880 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would be nice if it had a bit more in the top end. Say 115 or 120 Bhp and redline at 10krpm.

      @Bare36 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@samuelkearney880with full akra it has +120hp.
      Why 10 000 ?
      Max power is at 6500. Best thing for this bike is big power delivery at low rpms

      @@Bare36I think the 1200 bandit revs out to 10000rpm and carrying the extra revs helps with accelerstion. The 1200 that I had pulled very well from less than 3000 rpm. It would have made the rev speed range a bit wider but maybe it needs to be riden to be appreciated.

    Suzuki can bring these bike out in 2020 and it would sell! What is the real wheel horsepower and the quarter mile time?

    • @djangomuller3124
      @djangomuller3124 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Standard dyno run says about 108hp and 130Nm (around 6000rpm) torque. Swap your exhaust and new pipes your about to discover 120hp. I mean it shovels 110Nm at around 2000rpm already. The super sportbikes delivers 113Nm at 11.000 rpm.

      @@djangomuller3124 Mine is a 2004 model. Removed the stock exhaust system (4 into 2 ) weighing 22kg's and fitted a complete stainless Yoshi system weighing 7.5 kg's. Dyno with stock system was 95 hp at the wheel. With a mixture adjustment the Yoshi system produced 122hp, hugely different bike to ride after. I believe the stock system was very restrictive and the Yoshi let it all out....;)

    They give the GSX1400, 7 for practicality same as the CB1300 XJR and ZRX yet the GSX is the only one with 14 litres of stowage space under the seat !
