Beautifully done, built a studio in an exterior Victorian brick garage at a home I owned in the 90s. It was equally soundproof but the only way we could achieve it was by gluing all of the internal soundproof wall sections with liquid rubber and not using any nails or screws which made the build a nightmare and liquid rubber never comes off… Anything! Nice to see you applying a solid high-tech philosophy to your designs.

What a room! Beautiful!!! Next time ... expand the interior ... Taller ceilings, etc ... need more elbow room for about 50 more drum kits ... the heck with storage ... make a much bigger room! This one could be the reception, cool-down room ... a beautiful soundproofed room that leads to the main attraction ... a 2 story addition with a ton of display area. Love what you've done ... it was a reminder that my deal needs some adjusting ... You have an A+!!!!!
Great video and excellent job! Air-tightness is obviously very important for sound proofing. You mentioned the air-con pipes are "siliconed in". Is this just a matter of sealing around the hole through which the pipes enter? Are there any important details here? Type of sealant, for example? Did you do this or did the air con installation company take care of it?
Hi Matt…. Thanks for watching! The aircon pipes can be sealed with anything as they enter the building. Silicone, expanding foam or whatever you have! On this occasion the aircon company sealed it up for us!! Hope that helps! 👍🏻

That’s something we could look at! There is zero loss of sound through the fresh air vents due to the system we have designed. Hopefully do another test in the coming weeks! 👍🏻
That is also something I am very interested in seeing the DB reading when you're a lot closer outside the studio there must be some sound coming out just wanted to see how much was coming out I presume it's very minimal!
Yes there is some spill directly outside the door. We can certainly do some further testing in the next couple of weeks to show that!! Thanks for watching!!
@Soundproofing Expert Was the overall internal or external size constrained by budget, or by local building ordinances/regulations? Why not have the drum storage kept in the main room for easy access and a larger main room overall? Is the storage area also well thermally insulated to minimize the contraction and expansion of the drums with changing temperature extremes? Cheers!
Great video I have seen most of these and its brilliant to see how its is done! Can I ask how long did the build take in total and how big is that room/dimensions etc? I noticed Elliott could get Two kits in there although it looked a bit tight.
The build would normally be around 7 weeks including the storage area and leaving time in the middle for plaster to dry out. This one took a bit longer as we spent more time filming it!! This one is 4.5m x 3.5m externally and 3.8m x 2.8m internally! 😊
Really impressive. Awesome drumming and zero spill! Great job all round 👍
Thankyou for watching!! 🙏🏻

It'd be interesting to hear/see the db meter outside again, studio door wide open, then close it whist drums/music continues. Great job!

Elliot is a lovely guy and a drum polymath to boot.

Hey you did a really nice job on that. Good work! Thanks for posting.
That kick sounds marvellous, great playing! And that's a mighty fine drum cave you guys build there
Cool!
I went with an 2x2x2,5 Esmono.
For the next house it will be either a house that already has a studio or a much more spacier one build.
Radical!
Very jelly!
Gotta be happy with that!
This is amazing!!

Fantastic job, really impressive. I have dreamed of one of these 🙂
love it man best from US, Pennsylvania. IM getting ready to build a teaching/ recording studio here on the property
Awesome - good luck!! Send some pictures when it’s done!! 👍🏻

Great video 👍🏻 Any footage of the readings directly outside the structure doors and the fresh air system? Very interested in those.

Great Job sir!
Just think of the hundreds of marriages you could save by giving drummers a place to drum away to their heart's content! 👍
Exactly!! It’s a must!! 😂👍🏻👌🏻
Cool shed! Can you share the external wall structure layers?
Excellent!
Awesome studio. I'm moving next year and would like to get something like this built. I'll be contacting you for some more info.
Thanks for the comment! Just sent you an email!
What is the outside noise like with a whole band? Two electric guitars, a bass, drums, keyboard and singer?
It’s 4.5m x 3.5m externally - 3.8m x 2.8m - the plan is shown in video part 1 :)

It would have been interesting to see how it performed at closer distances too
We will do that video soon!! 👍🏻

Good job. How deep did you go on the soakaway drain ?
Where does one find a snare that sounds like a bird chirp?
;)
Are all decibel meters created equally? Which is the model you use? Thanks. Great job, by the way. Wished I were in the UK!
How much for this exact build with the storage?
If you can send us an email I will get back to you with a price list! 👌🏻
Hmm...room with in a room? Can you build me a snore soundproof helmet? 😂 (that's not a typo... snore not snare!)
What size is that drum studio?
4.5m x 3.5m and 3.8m x 2.8m internally! 👍🏻
how much in £ then? :D
Are those little vents going to supply enough oxygen to the room? Split system AC isn't bringing in any fresh air!
Good point! There is a mechanical fan system also which delivers 187m3 of fresh air per hour so it’s adequate for a sealed room!!
@@soundproofingexpert777 ohh great! So many people forget about being able to breathe in their air tight rooms! lol
Great job!
Are you able to build a silent room like this in Los Angeles? And, do you have a price listing available? -CHRIS*STARR
Maybe one day!! 👌🏻 We are based in the UK only at the present moment! Thanks for watching!
Squib cakes intro :)
Window is of course ‘Landscape’ not Portrait as mentioned in the video!! 🤦♂️
What’s that nasty vacuum type sound tho
The aircon is running in the room and the mic on the camera is picking it up and compressing it so sounds worse than it is!! 👍🏻
No cloud?
Guitar noises??
In which part...? :)
