So many years later I see this for the first time... Probably enjoyed it as much as those who enjoyed it 7 years ago!!! A timeless video!!!
Yep, i agree with you! Its a great adventure with the camera!
What I really appreciate most about these videos is not only do you share the technical side of photography - often in quick little nuggets - but that you tell, show, share great stories in beautiful locations. You are becoming "must see" for me - which means when I see a new post by you, I stop what I am doing and watch. Please continue to make more!
+Ajay Raghavendra Who are those other guys ? I need to know em!
+Tony Baldasaro His videos are as good as any "Nature, National Geo" show.
If you are a photographer ,Travel to Iran in this Month because the highest volcano peak is active now and the Landscapes are amazing here
So funny to watch some of your older videos I barely remember and see the difference in style and attitude.
I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos. I get a lot of inspiration from them. Most of the time I'm sitting in my office at work and your video is my escape from that tiny room with no windows. Thanks for that.
Thanks for doing these videos. Your video editing and story telling is wonderful! Hope you're feeling better.
This is what it's all about. Early morning hikes, photography and beer. Great shots. Subscribed.
Thomas what is the furthest distance that you had to go back to get your tripod after filming yourself walking around?
Best question yet. 100yards.
+Thomas Heaton any of your friends ever offered to just hold your GOPRO instead of you walking back to fetch it?
+Thomas Heaton when you say yard, do you mean yards or meters. i think yards is easier to say but people from uk always say miles, feet, ect and i never understood why. pretty sure y'all use metric.
+Julian Boffa We tend to measure distances for casual use (ie when there's no science involved) in miles, feet, yards etc. Also for travel - road signs in the UK are in miles, we measure fuel consumption in miles per (imperial) gallon - even though it's sold by the litre :) and the countdown markers for motorway (highway) exits are at 100 yard intervals. Sometimes we measure distance in minutes - which I always find a bit odd (as in "how far away is the beach?" "about 5 minutes") ?!?
We use metric and imperial it depends what we're talking about
You are the Nelson Adams of our time. Love your work.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Awesome work Thomas.
+Dave Brown Thank you, that's much appreciated.
Perfect winter Portfolio of Scottish images. I think this little collection was probably one of your best ever!
Just got home from an awful shift... stuck the kettle on and watched your video. Perfect... thank you. Great photos too.
Thomas, your ability to climb a mountain in winter with no hat in freezing conditions utterly stupefies me! Love the videos and look forward to your future releases
This landscape is unreal... I want to say it's my next trip, but so am I thinking after each and everyone of your videos... Your work is fantastic.
I know nothing about photography and just stumbled upon your videos. Now I'm becoming to appreciate it more. Thank you for taking us to with you!
Another wonderful video. Been to Scotland twice and envy you the ability to hike the mountains. The photos are glorious! Love the story that accompanies each, please know how much I appreciate your work. You are an inspiration for my photography. I love and agree with your comment about taking pictures of icons. Best, Bob
Gotta say man, the production of your videos has gotten so good since you started. Cheers to another good one.
Fantastic Thomas. Loved how you were whispering whilst standing in the River Coupall to save ripples. Keep up the awesome work and videos.
As ever, an excellent watch. The first panorama was bloody lovely. I really enjoy getting up ridiculously early to go on a shoot with you in the comfort of an armchair. I also appreciate the no bullshit approach you take to filming and describing your process. Your channel was a happy find. Thanks.
This is still easily one of my favourite photography videos 🌄🗻
this is the best 22mins videos I have ever watched. I enjoyed it very much.
Appreciate your hard work
Some of your best images that I have ever seen from you. Seems to be the the colder the weather with the inclusion of snow equates to wonderful images . Thank you for sharing. Always look forward so.... much to your vlogs ...
Can you please make a video about how you edit your photos?
I've been a subscriber since your first video and I have to say I look forward to new videos with as much anticipation as any TV show etc. I actually delayed watching this until I knew I would have enough quiet time. I like how you treat the viewers as if they are camera literate and basically just share your experiences out with your kit. Thumbs up Thomas and keep them coming. Eric
i just eat these videos up, so inspiring the best photo-vlog's out there. i wish a sports photographer or outdoor adventure, or even street photographer would upload videos like these. i learn so much.
Your videos are really inspirational to me. The simplicity by which you shoot shows in your end result. I look forward to learning more from you. Thank you.
Thoroughly enjoying your videos Thomas, I love your enthusiasm, drive, and wonderful images, a real inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
I have been watching your videos for months, there's always great photos.
hope to see more great works from you
Thomas, you're an inspiration. Alas the weather where I am has been non stop rain all winter. Have to say watching you has been great totally enjoying it. Thank you.
NATGO got nothing on you Thomas! It is incredible that a video so entertaining, adventures and educational could have been made by one man. Well, this was no ordinary man, it was Mr.Thomas Heaton.
One of the best videos by you. I think your old videos have something special, something different that makes them better (in my opinion) than your newer videos. But keep on going, your new videos are also absolutely stunning 😁
Its the high light of my week when you post a vid and at 21 minutes your spoiling us!!
Im in love with your images, technique and hard work in your photography.
Excellent storytelling and the production values keep improving! The stunning photography doesn't hurt either!
At 12:11 - On holiday from Oz, August 2017, got that shot, obviously sans snow. Beautiful country. Good video.

Excellent video again. We went up the day after you left. Had beautiful weather amazingly. Keep up the good work, makes me want to head back up again already.
I love watching your videos, I learn so much because of the fact that you talk through how your mind is constructing the photo which helps reinforce how I should think about shots when I'm trying to compose them. Not only that, but your content is so engaging and entertaining and I always watch to the end. Absolutely fantastic Thomas, keep up the amazing work, you are truly one of my photography idols!

Another fantastically engaging video-it's great to be able to share in your intrepid expeditions. The fact that this is 21 minutes long and I didn't even think about pausing it or doing something else says it all. Great work!
You find the best locations Thomas. That is another fanbloodytastic video and Superb photos.
Thomas, great report as usual, I always look forward to your videos. I left Glencoe the same day you arrived(12/2) and I also stayed at the King's House hotel. I was there for 4 days and the weather wasn't that great, it won't stop me going back though, it's a fabulous place for photography.
Awesome photography Thomas, and the videos...they started really well in the first place and yet you keep building on it and keep improving. Favourite landscape channel by far. Thanks.
Brilliant and completely motivational as ever Thomas, thank you.
Keep going Thomas, you makes awsome videos. I can't wait for the next one ! Cheers from france
Thomas I really appreciated the effort that you put into this trip. It can be a sobering feeling to realize that we are human and are often prone to feelings of negativity and self doubt. Adapt and Overcome is key in situations such as that and I am glad that you were able to produce some stunning images of your trip to Glencoe. They were truly magnificent images and are proud to put up there with some of the best you have taken thus far. I truly enjoyed this video and look forward to more in the future. You are a very talented professional.
Hi Thomas!! Great Video, as per usual. It|s super interesting to watch your trips and really inspiring!! Thanks for all the hard work documenting your tours with video and editing it for us to watch!! Keep them coming! - Also - Epic photos!!

I didn't expect the cottage photo to be the best!Good Job Thomas.
Brilliant Thomas. I remember that stretch of dangerous road well on Halloween night when we did a similar thing. It's a magical place, Glencoe and your images have captured it well. Thanks for sharing!
Another very entertaining watch Thomas . Thanks for sharing . Great images also .
Keep up the fantastic work you do. It certainly keeps me inspired and always on the lookout for your next shoot.
Great film in an even better location. Was up that way filming on the Saturday and it was horrific weather. The hill you were on is great for a wild camp and been there many times.
Hey Thomas, I've just found and watched all of your videos in the past week. Just wanted to say how much I love the format and how incredibly inspiring they are to get out there and shoot. Thanks so much for making these great videos!

Your video's and images are an inspiration to all and especially to me. I'm off on Tuesday for late winter road trip from London to Hadrian's Wall, Northumbria Coat, Glencoe, Isle Of Skye and back.
Really enjoyed this video. Glencoe is stunning. Visited once but haven't yet had the chance to explore it properly and take photos. I can't wait to go back. Your shots are stunning.
You are a constant inspiration. Amazing work.
Hi Thomas
You mentioned some time ago about your new technology "waders", but your use was a big surprise, like the D Day landings.
Love your videos inspiring.
Great filming Thomas, and very good and helpful tips as always, thank you.
Yet another brilliant and stunningly beautiful video to soak up and enjoy. I especially enjoy the fact that you take the time to video yourself traversing the landscape all alone and still have to double back to retrieve your equipment. It allows the viewer to feel even more immersed in the video itself. I'm hooked! One day I hope to travel from my home in Illinois (USA) to many of these beautiful places. Keep up the great work my friend. :0)
"I take photos for me and me only..." - was one of the best pieces of advice I took away from this!
+Carl Porter That's good to hear, but it doesn't apply when working for a client :/
Another great video, Thomas.
Go on like this,I'm a landscape amateur photographer and it's nice to try to live with you the journey through this images.
Well done
Mauro
Great work, lovely images. Good morning! Thomas.

Enjoy watching your videos Tom, you are very human, if I could say that 😃 Keep up the good work, stunning images!
Yeah!! Loved this Thomas, and it was a long one which is just the icing on the cake. Brilliant and informative. Seeing you've upload is like Christmas Morning for me. Stunning images
