Thanks, everyone, for watching this video. You can see part 2 here: th-cam.com/video/9YcIHFKCiTY/w-d-xo.html Also, a freakishly high amount of people are asking about my Bum Bag, so I thought it best to capitalise and make my first million from this Affiliate Link: geni.us/Seral7 and whilst I am pushing my luck, here is a link to my 2022 Photography Calendar, still available: thomasheaton.co.uk/product/2022-calendar/

Hey, Thomas! Just wanted to say a couple of things
I am so proud to see you've grown so much on TH-cam!! I remember watching you something like 5 years ago when you pretty much just had started and it's insane how much both your personality and photography skills have developed! You used to be so shy in front of the camera, when people on trails used to walk past by, you didn't talk and gave them an awkward nod or something, but now you're just so energetic, open and likable as a person! Even though I am more of a videographer and barely do any photography, I just absolutely love watching your videos and they have inspired me to go out and shoot just random stuff for the sake of just being out and exploring. Thank you so much for all the hard work you've put into this channel, you're an amazing person!

When I was in Vietnam, (I was in the artillery) the infantry hiked nine clicks a day, which is 9,000 meters. They carried five gallons of water and food for three days(can food), ammo, claymores, and flak jacket. Usually, new guys carried eighty pounds and they had to move up to at least one-hundred by four weeks. Machine gunners carried the M-60, and two to four hundred rounds of ammo. Their load was usually over one-hundred and forty pounds. There were two assistant gunners, who usually carried four hundred rounds also. Their load was about one hundred and twenty pounds. They told me, that the more you hike, the more you can carry. When I see you hiking around, I think back to those brave men, and how cool it was just listening to there conversations. Great video!🙂🙂✝️

My wife and I stayed at a B&B on Skye years ago. We knew that it included breakfast, but not other meals. Well, we drove onto the Island around noon on a Sunday and by the time we wanted to stop for food, we discovered that all the places were closed. Luckily, the kind people who put us up made sandwiches for us or we would have starved.
Wonderful video, Thomas, and memories as a bonus. Take care, Tom Foord.

Really loved this video for so many reasons. I'm a bit of a TH-cam addict in terms of my own hobbies and have followed you for a while for the photography. Combining hiking and camping, another 2 of my interests, make many recent videos absolute must-see. The cheeky taster of the Skye trip earlier in the week on social media had me, for the first time, actually planning to put time aside, make a coffee, butter some welsh cakes, and actually sit down like it's cinema night (I usually grab TH-cam time whenever I'm at a loose end, sometimes on my phone, laptop, PC or TV). I hope the dreaded and oft-mentioned 'TH-cam algoritm' doesn's stop you creating the type of content that brought all your subscribers to you in the first place. Fantastic work, thanks for the effort you put in :)

I enjoy watching your vlogs and they have challenged me to get out and capture the world through my eyes. Even tho I’m a city girl with no great peaks or breathtaking views on my local treks, I’m inspired to capture the things most people miss. A note to the accessibility of your camera and your bum bag. Great idea I’ve done this for many years due to the price tag of most kits out there. But have you ever heard of Peak Design and a product they call CAPTURE. An ingenious little gadget that allows you to keep your camera at your fingertips. I’ve recently bought one and I have to say it’s a game changer. Although I realize that a bum bag is the best options in certain conditions ie mist and rain but capture is perfect for a fare/any day with less drip from the sky. Thanks for doing what you do.
