  • Hello guys and welcome once again to a new video.
    I saw a huge interest in the past period for my videos regarding coffee machines. I assume this is because a lot of us are using more and more our machines in this period and eventually they break down.
    That’s why I thought it will be a cool idea to share my repair experience and show you the most common Dolce gusto machines defects and how to fix them.
    1. My Dolce Gusto machine has low water pressure. 0:45
    2. My Dolce Gusto machine not pouring water/coffee 2:01
    3. My Dolce Gusto machine is leaking water under the unit 2:49
    4. My Dolce Gusto machine power button is flashing or turned amber 3:46
    5. My Dolce Gusto machine start brewing and then turns off. 4:22

      Are you referint to the Box looking capacitor? If yes, you have to open your machine and see the exact value. It is usually between 220 and 600 nF.

    Thanks man! Great work.
    When my Dolce Gusto was blinking red, I read on the web that un-powering the machine and powering it up again would work. And it did.
    When we think about descaling a Philips Senseo, it is absolutely wrong to use vinegar. This will damage the rubber and pipes.
    Only use the prescribed descaler liquid.

    Bună ziua Adrian! Thank you for interesting videos. My machine ran well but it was leaking. So I opened my Mini ME KP120110 HG1-0516R and followed instructions to exchange clean sealing ring etc. After that I started the machine for use. Pushing the start button the lamp went from slow blinking red to green for heating. Just normal procedure. I switched the lever to right to start......quiet and the lamp went from green to quick red blinking. No noise but the heater worked and went hot. Neither I touched the pump nor the electrical connections. What went wrong? Can give me us a tip how to fix it? mulțumiri și salutări. Michael

    • @benassy69
      @benassy69  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello. Rapid red blinking means that something is wrong with one of the components. Maybe you have to bed a connector somewhere and now it does not make a good connections. Try pushing all connectors a bit and see after. Good luck!

    Hi Adrian, I can’t close the lever after I slide the pod drawer in. It was very hard to close lately and now can’t close it: can barely close it without a pod. Have cleaned needle and descaled but no luck. Any suggestions?

    • @droneboxjg
      @droneboxjg ปีที่แล้ว

      Had the same problem. It's due to a build-up of coffee grains and dried milk in the head just behind where the pod tray slides in. This stops the tray seating properly, which then stops the lever going down when the tray is in. Unplug the device, remove the water reservoir and then clean out the gunk with a damp dishcloth - mind you don't prick yourself on the needle! After a couple of cleans, insert/removal/re-insert of the pod tray you should find that the lever starts to drop properly again.

    I have the old KP160 model. I’ve followed everything recommended with unblocking with the pin but it just won’t work. It makes noise like it’s trying to pump but doesn’t take any water from the tank or pump anything out. Totally bricked. Then it flashes the descaling warning.
    I read somewhere that it could be the solonoid valve that’s preventing this. But I just can’t find any replacements for such an old model 😞 let alone any that are cheap.

    It seems on settings of 3+ (delonghi piccolo), that happens more. If the coffee is shorter, it will probably be okay.

I think it ran out of water while someone was trying to make a coffee. I tried everything but it just keeps buzzing on both hot and cold brew options. Any ideas? Or is it time for a new one? First I had problems with the capacitors, I replaced them after that It worked, the pump is working, the water is leaking except the lever which couldn't stay in left or right position. I would suspect the electromagnet if your machine has one. The basics one have only a spring system. Take a look what type of system you have. To troubleshoot the electromagnet just check if you have voltage on the electromagnet, if yes the magnet is faulty.
