If you enjoy it then do it. I like it, I better because it's what I've been doing lol. I have the x3 also and have been trying to decide between Go 3 and Action (4 now) for helmet/pocket cam. I like that the Go is so small/flexible, but a few things, like no external mike... no SD slot...
With the helmet cam I prefer to lift the view a little higher to bring in the sky and put the horizon closer to the lower 3rd, just my preference though. Thanks for doing these reviews.
When riding, please try using a chest mount or adjust it up so we can see the sky and where you are going, it's far more natural to watch as a rider. Unless you want your speedometer to be the focal point.

I've used the wind slayer on the DJI OSMO ACTION 3, the sound of the wind is still clear. With the Pro, Stereo settings, wind noise reduction is on.

What 360 camera is the best for motorcycle riding ?
If you have the budget for the One RS 1-inch, that would definitely be the go to. But currently using the X3 which also delivers awesome quality 👍

Can I use the Action 4 from DJI as a Dashcam on my bicycle without a battery, only using a power bank??
Why would you wanna do that? The usb and battery slots are 2 different doors..?? You can use a power bank regardless

Exactly how to mount it on the motorbike handlebar? DJI have the solution or need a 3th party equipment? Didn’t understand yet.
What wired mic are you using? And I assume the bike has stock exhaust? On a loud bike at highway or track speeds, I could never get my Action 3 to give me usable audio with a wired mic. it was loud, blown out and distorted, really bad... Tried 8 different mics, and saw that everyone else with the Action 3 trying to do motovlogs on loud bikes and higher speeds, had no luck with just plugging in a mic. Even with it up in my helmet, with both a foam cover AND a dead cat, I just could not get it to work...
Stock exhaust but Akra slip-on. It really depends on the system you’re using and if you use the DJI Mic or others.
Lowering the gain will help 90% of the time.
I’m using a 4yo lavalier from Røde without a deadcat
@@RobHK I had the DJI wireless mic, and that worked, but then you had too much stuff to manage while riding... You don't want the receiver hanging from the USB-C port on the camera as you go down the road... so you have the camera mounted to the helmet, then it has to be in a cage so you have the cold shoe mount for the receiver box, which then needs a USB cable to connect it to the camera... Then inside the helmet you had my Rode Lav2 mic, which then plugged into the transmitter box which I rant down into my jacket pocket. All that stuff was a real pain to use, and then I got caught out in the rain and it fried the DJI wireless mic system... lol
So I am back on the Insta360 One RS 4K with the external mic gain turned down to -18dB and the audio is ok... but I would like for it to be better...
Try using a -12 gain.
@@ulasinAja I did and it wasn't enough. With the dji wireless mic I used -12 on both the TX and rx, and then -8 on the camera and it was great.
This is a known limitation with the action 3. It's just not friendly with wired mics in loud environments. Was hoping they addressed it with the new model ..

Bro im starting my motovlog journey and im confused between osmo action 4 and ace pro ....can you please suggest me what should i choose?? As someone on TH-cam also said in osmo action 4 theres a jittery effect while doing motovlog , is it true or not?? And im really interested in color grading with dlogm as we cant do that in ace pro so im kinda more interested in action 4, but ace pro night quality surpasess xd im confused help me out bro big fan of yours🎉❤

dammit I just bought a hero 12 last month. Quick release mount is a deal breaker for motovlog
You need to angle the camera up just a touch so that you get more of the surrounding area as you ride

You're right, the footage is stunning!
The mic sound is bad as hell in the helmet and i don't find the DJI camara foottage som much better than a GoPro actually is look's more "outwashed" in some way only thing who is bettter on the DJI camera is the magnetic foot, i have both cameraes and the mic i use in the helmet sound 10 times better than the wireless you use and my mic cost 2 dollar on Ebay and it is wired.

The mount system and ability to connect a wireless mic directly to the Action 4 is the reason i love this cam, but I won’t be able to resist a 1 inch sensor on the gopro
Well I guess now you can resist a 1/1.9" sensor XD
I have the Action 4 camera and the Purple Panda mic, but even with the adapter and adjusting the gain, the audio quality remains subpar. I've also set the sound to mono using a TRS connection. I'm curious about the microphone you're using; perhaps there's a solution I haven't tried yet.
Do you know if you can use Action 1 ND filters by Freewell on the Action 4? Thanks in advance.
