@@mickey1695 when riding a 2 stroke machine you need to mix oil with the gas, that is the gas to oil ratio, idek how people measure it but it's definitely gas/oil one way or another
125's are sick! They will always have a place in my heart, they rip and have a good power to weight ratio.

Needs carb cleaned. Some fresh gas and the oil mixed in right. Spark plug like he said.
And clean the air filter. The kid wasn’t even sure where it was so if it’s never been cleaned it could be filthy and one big reason it won’t idle.

At 14, my first bike was a 1985 Yamaha YZ 125. It was tall and fast as hell. I actually traded with a friend for a newer YZ 80, and that is the bike I LEARNED how to ride on! The last bike that i owned was a Kawasaki KX 250.

i’ve been putting TLC into this old 2001 rm 125 that i got for a steal absolutely in love with it , super simple and easy to work on
I got my 2019 for 4200 last year. Crazy deal... If you’re still having issues with the carburetor , try changing your jet block gasket! It’s a $7 fix, mine had an issue with running super super rich and issues idling similar to what your bike seems to be doing... it was bad from factory. It’s an issue with the Mikuni carbs.. that’s if yours is having rich issues. Have fun man

Its only good for the piston pin bearing and every part that gets lubed up from the oil you mix. So that bottom and top end is in god shape!👍 if you don’t rev it out in a while it’s gonna clog up! A Tip is to not engine break👍👍👍
that is only if you do not have the thing jetted right, and some other factors. A well jetted 2 stroke will have 1/8 to a 1/4in pool of oil in the crank case at all times, It can take more then 90 minutes to circulate all the oil in a 2t engine.

The front lever was definitely bent by hand for ergonomics, not from a drop. They break off really easily when dropped on.

Could just be the idle screw , tighten it up a bit. Should idle fine after that
I would say it's the gasoline mixture. I also thought the idle screw needed attention but when i fueled it up it ran amazing. Always try switching the gasoline before attempting anything else!

I just bought a Yz 125 98, I can find some parts for it but it gets difficult at times, where do you buy your parts? Only problem I have at the moment is a leaking exhaust, because it doesn’t have the rubber joint, just a shit metal clamp

1996 cr 125r i got and a 03 yz125 and a 9 rm125 the yz hasnt changed since 99-2022 other than frames went from steel to alum. the cr has a 1st gear slip if anyone is near the gettysburg pa and want a 96 cr 125 it has some mods and stuff im asking 2500 1st gear slips tho just comment on one of my vids

Had a 05 kx125. Bitch was the baddest bike I ever had. I sold it and bought a 450 but nothing can ever replace that bike. So thin, light, nimble, and powerful
