    Hey guys thanks for watching! This is a 1998 Yamaha YZ125 that a subscriber and friend gave to me for free. It was blown up and left in bins for years. I put a ton of time into this design, build and production but it was definitely worth it! Consider subscribing for more content like this! Links to products and tools are in the description 😎 Oh yea... YOU GUYS ROOOOCK!!! 🤘

      Purple, green, black, blue. All it is missing is tattoos and piercings. My bikes are functional, not arts and crafts projects. Aside than being ugly, it is a good build mechanically. Sorry, I am a manufacturing and engineering guy. What we did before our schools turned into worthless arts and crafts schools.

    @nochan99 3 ปีที่แล้ว +37

    Somehow "basket case" gives you the most joy. It is a money pit for sure, and at times it is super frustrating when you can't get parts or you find unexpected damage etc. but the pure thrill of creating a new beautiful thing from garbage is worth the effort!

    You have one of the best channels out there. The time you spend filming and explaining is amazing. I used your Raptop video to reassemble an engine from a giant box and parts and it fired right up. What you are doing here is informative and entertaining. THANK YOU!!! It's so nice to see you actually fix things instead of just swap parts. Making a bolt? That's something I would do, but most people just buy new parts all the time when it isn't always necessary. 28 - 1 is actually a LEAN FUEL/AIR ratio. Believe it or not, you can still burn up your engine that way. I wouldn't run that too long.

    Okay this the 5th video of yours I've watched and literally I'm going back to building my Hondas on the side because I love doing bikes, quads etc. Influences are hell lol 😆!! Children made me give up my hobbies. I appreciate all your hard work because alot of great bikes & quads get left and forgotten to rot & rust. Takes a real love for these things to do what you do. Not just for content or money as well & reason being is most would say that's what you do it for but I don't see that bs. I see a person who was doing this before the likes and before the support of TH-cam & fans. Everyone has a root or a in your gut feeling all the way to the bone with something they love. This is yours. So I salute you. 💯 Sure do miss my 95 RM Suzuki 125. Completely stock with all stock graphics. Just after market rear shock and front forks because the guy was a professional trail rider/circuit racer whom had it. Water pump failed 3 miles from my house when I was 18years
    old & 29 now! He rebuilt it for me. My father knew the guy and his father. Never forget see the picture the guy took of the piston with a cigarette size hole burnt Into the side of the piston. Never rode it after that. It was rebuilt and sold. My Honda 250r stretched out paddle tires and built motor quad was my favorite

    Hey mike, i watch alot of your videos figured I'd help clear up your jetting, just fyi running 40:1 is richer then 32:1, it's not more oil means richer! Think of drinking a chocolate frappe with a straw vs water. 125s rev to the moon so some where 20:1-36:1 ideal.....250cc 32:1-40:1. The only reason why it somewhat cleared up smoke is the bike warmed up..adding more gas to mix didn't help. You need to lean the jets and or needle to rid the smoke

    So awesome dude, haven’t even watched the vid yet but I’m gonna watch them all . I just got a 98 yz125 for free.99 as well. Mine is way worse shape than yours, because it was actually “forgotten” about . Thinking about making a series when I restore it to show everybody they can do it too.

    Just had this pop up on my channel. What a great restoration!! When I first saw the colours I thought WTF but it is so 80’s/90’s and so we’ll done that I actually love it now. I’d love to have. a KX500 in a scheme like that. Well done and subscribed. 👍🇦🇺💪

    This guy makes it look so easy in the vids but anyone who has done a bike or quad build knows how much work and hours goes into lit every little part idk how he does so many builds

    That's an awesome build! You started the bike with ease and you rebuild it like it came straight out of the factory. I loved the graphics on it. That purple makes it pop!

    just a small tip is to use a drop of cutting oil when using a tap or thread, makes it easier and makes them last longer. that way you get more use out of your tool 👍
