I’ve had the Silent Service for a few years and I love it - great quality, accurate timekeeping, comfortable and good looking on the wrist, and it gives me the Sub “feel” and look without the baggage (and cost, of course).

I ordered this watch in January, it was delivered in about 10 weeks just like John Said it would be. this is the best watch for the money , I also own a Milgauss black dial. Ginault is comparable to a much higher brand. Great Video

Thanks for the review. I have Ocean Rover II (blue bezel - no date) and love it. It's been my main for some time. I got mine a couple of months back. Love it! I ended up getting their Silent Service Diver (no date) and should be getting it in a week or two. Keep up the great work!

You know what makes this watch great?
1- you save 10+ grand
2- it brings you the hate of all sub owners who bought subs to be hated, ironic isn't it
3- you don't get dragged thru the dirt by trash Rolex ADs.
4- you get a 5 digit case, with the best lines, none of that maxi case BS + modern ceramic refinements.
I bought this as an insurance policy for my date sub, but I ended up selling that before the market crashed in 22 since the sub had a misaligned bezel and was running slow relative to superlative chronometer specs. So TLDR, never going back to a modern sub, had the experience, it's nothing special.

I'm quite split on the seconds hand, I don't like that it's red, I prefer monochrome designs, but then I realize if it wasn't there it would basically be a sub-replica.

Seems expensive for a clone/homage? 5 digit subs are plentiful on secondary market, which I guess this is more akin to than modern subs. Maybe Ginault is better known in US, hasn't really registered here in Uk. Can't help feel if I bought one I'd wish I'd just bought the real thing, but looking on the website, they do look nice. Hard to say if worth it without handling one in the flesh.

You did a great job Introducing the spec of the watch in details even down to how the crown operates. 😅 But I want to get out of watching this video is, is this watch good? Is it the best submariner homage out there? Is the quality amazing as people say? I want to know your opinion your thoughts your feeling since you have handled many higher end watches and the OR2.5 in person kinda disappointed after 12 minutes I still felt none of that that was really covered in your video. Would be nice if you can fo another video to cover that!

@@peacelove4994 it's the best homage to a Rolex Submariner that I've handled. If you check my past review of the Silent Service, you will get a better sense for how well Ginault competes with the Submariner.

I’d even like it if Ginault would use a chronometer grade SW-300. I have a Rolex sub and the Silent Service and honestly I’m considering selling my Rolex as I wear my Ginault far more often. San Martin makes a very good Mil-Sub homage but the Ginault is better (but it’s considerably more expensive).😎

There are so many better watch's out there at the $S2k price range, that this watch is no way worth $2k. And at this price point there are tons of watch's that are not Rolex look alike. Interesting you didn't touch on this company originally make FAKE counterfeit Rolex's. Interesting.
