I don't know if it's worth mentioning but I just found out today that the actor who played Charlie (Gale Hansen) was 29 when this movie came out. He was the oldest of the bunch (the other actors were between 17-20) and I love it!

i am in nooo way a cameron apologist but idk they're sooo tragic to me.which i Love. it's like. if you pay attention you can see throughout the movie all these little moments of cameron trying to get closer to charlie, i mean he wants to be included with all of them but charlie especially has some pull over him - like when neil first comes up with the idea of resurrecting the dps cameron says no but after charlie says he's in cameron suddenly changes his mind and immediately says he's in too. and charlie keeps telling him not to come but cameron insists on coming. and he offers the book to charlie in the cave which charlie pushes away because he brought his own poem. and when charlie says or does something silly during class cameron looks back at him grinning. and when charlie says he played the clarinet for years he's like "omg i love the clarinet!" and other little things like that. and after all of this cameron finally gives up only at the very end, saying "you just signed your expulsion papers, nUwAnDa". like. i mean i also would be obsessed with charlie dalton and would slowly go crazy over him hating me, so. i can't blame him lmfao
