It has a treaty with the US to go to war if attacked. Japan, South Korea, Australia, India Taiwan are all in conflict with China. If a war breaks out, all these can help to make it faster to get China to bow down and defeated.

As a Filipino it hurts us to see our soldiers being water cannoned and getting hurt whilst only bringing food and necessities for fellow countrymen. This I declare, our patience are wearing thin. Water cannon or bullet, it is just the same when you have the intention to hurt others.
Tang Dynasty was way stronger and richer than China today if you adjust the inflation, but that being said Tang never live forever, nothing last forever, China need to think if it wants to prolong it's status
China was more than just the Tang dynasty, it has over 3,000 years of a powerful civilization, it will just be fine. Throughout history there are always ups and down. China survived colonialism, the two world wars, cultural revolution, and it will survive any hardships ahead.

Adjusting the INFLATION which you didn't understand, Tang Dynasty (Empire) owns the lone spot during it's prime years
