Swimming in Yosemite: A Solo Swim in a Frigid Lake

On a recent backcountry hike in Yosemite National Park, I headed in to Matthes Lake for a quick swim. The water was quite chilly, but it was also refreshing. I donned my speedos while my wife watched and giggled from the shore. It was a great way to cool off after a long hike.

Refreshing is often the word I use for "this is so cold I can hardly stand it" ha ha ha! It also helps that get cold so quickly.
