Coming back from the lower Yosemite fall to the bus shuttle would one encounter bears? How long does one have to wait for the shuttle bus? Appreciated.
It is possible to encounter bears around lower Yosemite fall. Don’t think it will happen much after seeing the summer crowds this year. The average wait time for the shuttle bus was 15 mins last year. Don’t know what it will be like this year
Hi… My family and I will be going next year around June 5. Did you also go early June? How were the crowds? Also its our first time going, we are gonna stay in Curry village. We were planning on using rental car, but it looks like using the shuttle it better. Any tips? Thanks
Hey Luz. Here’s a bit of expert advice for first timers. Yosemite has begun implementing an entrance reservation every summer which limits the number of visitors allowed in, if you did not buy an entrance reservation ticket ($2) online you won’t be allowed in. This year’s entrance reservation began on May 20 and ends September 30,2022. These dates will most likely carry onto next year’s entrance reservation dates. So you won’t have to worry much about crowds. As for having your rental car with you at Curry Village, I would suggest using the shuttle instead as it’ll take you to all the major points in Yosemite Valley, which is where you’ll be. The shuttles are free to use, and picks up every 5-10mins. The shuttles stop at 3 popular trails: Lower Yosemite Falls Vernal Falls Mirror Lake There are also many beaches along the Merced River that flows through Yosemite Valley where families will have picnics or go swimming If you have any specific questions let me know and good luck!
Yes stop 1 is near the Village Store. I’ll leave a link below to the shuttle system map with the stops from their official website. It’ll be halfway down the page. www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/publictransportation.htm
@@tommyinsane9932 oh wow thanks for the tips, feel free to give me more tips for Yosemite. I try to book the hotel all full booked in there the whole May already

The shuttles are a godsend! I also found out there’s a bus service (YARTS) that’ll pickup from the surrounding towns/cities to Yosemite Valley which I want to try.
Isn’t Oklahoma all flatlands? That’s a major change of scenery!
@@tommyinsane9932 The YARTS busses are a great ride with all the large windows and much quicker than driving on your own. The drivers do this all day and sometimes you'd be surprised how well they can drive on those crazy roads. The Logging train near Fishcamp is a must! I've never missed Oklahoma.😉😁
That’s it, added to my bucket list, thanks! Are you talking about the Yosemite Mountain Sugar Pine Railroad? That’s on my list too!
Not missing Oklahoma doesn’t sound like a surprise at all ha!
Do I need to book to enter yosemite? Tnx
Yes until September 20th unless you have a campground, lodging or transit reservation
Whwere to see the schedule of the shuttle? Thanks

Scroll down until you see “Getting Around Yosemite”, below should be an infographic for the Yosemite Valley shuttle route and times
Hi, where did you stay for your trip?
I went home afterwards as I live 2 hours away
How many days or time was spent there? I am trying to plan a day and half to there and was wondering how long it took you do visit those places?
Everything here took one day. Yosemite Valley is pretty small so it’s easy to get around and see a lot
@@tommyinsane9932 Lol yea it says 24 hours in the video, haha thank you so much i appreciate it
Oh yea was going with catching TH-cam titles haha
When is the best time to visit YNP?
I personally enjoy autumn/fall for the leaves and cool weather. I think May/spring would also be a good time right before the summer crowds
@tommyinsane9932 Thank you
What month did you go? Did you need the ticket for entry between 5am-4pm?
This was in May. I don’t remember if I needed a ticket or not for entry
When did you take this video?
This was shot in May
Is the shuttle free?
Yes it’s free to use

Nice video the only part I don’t like is the sound when you are eating, maybe the microphone was to close to your mouth.
Didn’t realize lol
great reviews Tommy, by the way which Lodge or camp did you stay at ?
I stayed just for the day. Next time I should stay somewhere in Yosemite so you guys can see what’s it like
Tommy, what month did you visit? Thanks!
My comment didn’t go through the first time bah. This was recorded in May
