    Excellent review. I have dual powerPoles and no thoughts of changing them but respect your thoughtful analysis of alternative and choice. Again, great review. Enjoyed watching.

    Once again an excellent walk thru. Detailed, well made, informative, everything. If I could add any constructive criticism- please mention things like price differences, warranty differences, availability of spares, installation hassles etc etc.
    That bit at the end about the triangle is legit super helpful for people looking to buy.
    But overall- sheet, your vids are truly excellent.

    love my twin raptors, changed over a couple of years ago from powerpoles. totally agree with 2 n the individual buttons. i never had the pleasure of the tri pedal but watching u i can imagine where i wud have thrown it, not in the bin either. tailor made for sight fishing barra also murray cod but not to the same extend as barra. drift in n maneuver the boat into position with the minn kota n raptor up until the next move, stealth all the way. gud review Byron.

    Thanks for the installation vid and this review vid. I watched several other vids on Raptors but yours was the best and I largely made my decision to purchase two 10ft Raptors based on it. I will install them this weekend.

  • @drunge1
    @drunge1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I have dual 10ft Raptors. Agree with everything you said. The Raptors are noticeably better than the blades. But...BUT the stomp switches and bluetooth connectivity are absolutely horrendous. Power Pole stomp switches are light years better. I have the actually round stomp switches. Watching you tap the triangle switch, looks exactly like me doing the stomp switch dance. I found this video, because I am researching any ideas to increase the switch sensitivity.

    Hi Byron,
    Ever since watching your How to Edit Fishing Videos, I've been spoilt and find myself watching videos on other Chanels and thinking, 'they got that wrong....' 8-)
    I'm fitting out my Quintrex Renegade and find these product review videos really informative as I'm working through difference scenarios in my mind.
    You've obviously (and publicly) put a lot of thought into the layout of your boat and one thing that seems common on American Bass style boats like yours is that the rods just lay loose on the deck. I'd be worried about accidentally stepping on them or kicking them overboard! Have you thought about different rod storage options ? Maybe a subject for a future video ?

    • @ByronTeaHill
      @ByronTeaHill  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Alf! hahaha we all have different styles. But yes, my brain hurts sometimes watching videos.
      It's a valid questions, to be honest we develop habit patterns and I seldom stand on the rods - that being said, the biggest risks for the rods seem to be people who are on the boat, but not used to them OR my kids.
      Over the 8 hours of fishing, rods do move around a bit.

    New Boat owner here ! The boat ramp idea is what’s selling me on getting (2).
    Question though: You mention the technology these raptors have by digging themselves deeper when you start to drift. Do they know when to stop on they’re own when going down? Or is that at the users judgment ?

    I have had two sets of power poles. I just got an Allison. I’m considering getting Raptor 10’s. I wish they had the paddle option. It makes a really big difference when trying to control down wind drifting. The power poles do get stuck from time to time.

    • @ByronTeaHill
      @ByronTeaHill  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      and more features like an intelligent anchor that drives you back in if you start to move. Honestly dude I saw your other comments, Power Pole had the lead in this market and did nothing to improve when their patent expired, someone else made a better product. Who is to blame? If powerpole come out with something better than what they have now, I'd love to give it a go

      I think you've probably got the wrong Idea on what this product is and is not. It's a shallow water anchor designed for active fisherman stalking fish stopping silently. I'd suggest its not a mooring option or an option for a deep water. Tight Lines bud and thanks for watching
