    Great info mate. Thanks. Do you drift fish much over there? We use sea anchors/drogues to either slow the drift, change the boat angle in relation to the drift, or for emergencies if you lose power and want to keep the bow into the wind/sea. Always had one on my boats. Thanks again. Much appreciated. Cheers 🍻

    Don’t waste your time going to the hospital for getting hooked. Just push it through or rip it out using the line trick. The doctor is going to do way more damage they way they do it than using the line trick.

    I am totally confused as to why you need that on a boat that you installed lithium batteries on already! Other than low temp charging protection, a 100Ah lithium battery with an inverter on a boat will go all day for radios and still have plenty left to make coffee. And a small coffeemaker takes less space than that ‘powerbox’
    Just my opinion. The only moveable stuff I want on my boat is rods and Annette (whoever she is she’s always been with me)

    Great video, I love your idea of sharing what you’ve done without simply making an “infomercial”. Buying the boat is the easiest part, but for me the rigging is what makes or breaks the experience of actually using it. While I’ve done many of the things you mentioned I still picked up a few tips that I’ll use in the near future. One suggestion to add would be the addition of a dedicated tool set to keep in the boat. It’s amazing how many times I reach for simple tools when something gets loose or needs adjusting. I opted for a tool roll type storage bag since it takes up very little room yet contains a lot of small tools. Thanks again for the video and the production quality.

      Appreciate the feedback, Eric! I try to be as genuine as I can because I know everyone has different needs!
      I like that idea of a tool set up! I almost talked about that in this vid, but didn’t. That can be the difference in a trip ending or not is having the right tools! Thanks again for taking the time to comment!

    This is really good! I do not have a larger boat as you do TJ but space and function with easy access is important to fisherman! You have shown a few new ones for me. Also, a surprising note… I looked at your location and realized you are located near Hubbard off of 87, as I also am, but to the East. 😎👍🏼

    Dock Stix are great! I've been using them for the past 3 seasons and they keep the boat off the dock in tough conditions. I've also made some using PVC, bungee cords, and furniture caps. Saves a few dollars and provides you the option to make them whatever length you'd like, but I use the Dock Stix.
    Great video!

    At 9:07 of your video you are showing a dock line snubber...that particular style you show doesn't keep your boat off the dock but they do a really good job of shock absorbing so you don't get that sudden jolt from large waves when your boat is tied up. Just need to get the proper size for your boat and line that you are using.

    • @tjsguideservice
      @tjsguideservice  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ahhh got it! Thanks for the clarification! I think I was looking for the “dock sticks” which do the part of keeping it away from the dock. Again, appreciate the insight!

    There are at least 3 satellite communication devices on the market. I have struggled to use the older InReach but it works. All the newest ones seem to have resolved many of the user interface issues. Look at the units and at the subscription costs when you are shopping. As always, great content.

    I have a little caddy that clamp on with a couple of those spring loaded clothes pin style clamps that wood workers use with a cup holder and a compartment where keep the few tools that I use throughout the day. That way I never have to look for stuff. I use to misplace things and then get frustrated with myself when I couldn't' find them. Good video.

    Just an observation: you may want to rethink the lock cutters. If the hook is in your hand then using wire cutters with the free hand may be the way to go.

      I had your exact same concern. However I put the smaller of the bags (3600) under my seat and it doesn’t seem to be overly impeding. Will have a better feel in a couple weeks when I get out on the water. The larger bag (3700) I stashed under the back pedestal where I have my livescope shuttle mounted so no space concerns there!
