Tuba Skinny is always great entertainers. I want to comment on the great dancing couples. The young man in the long sleeve white shirt with dark shorts really knows how to lead his dance partner. I watched him with different girls and noticed with each one he put his hand on their mid back to help direct their turns. That’s the way to do it ! Super fun. Enjoyed all of the dancers
Tuba Skinny, for me the best traditional Dixieland Band from New Orleans (or from the world ??) with the famous ladies Shaye Cohn and Erika Lewis 👏👏🎺🎺🇩🇪❤️🇺🇸❗️
It is great the band gets to travel and spread their marvelous Jazz music. I am waiting for the Tuba Skinny to visit Canada. I may not be able to visit New Orleans since I am getting on.
We saw TS at Blauzac a few days later. Wonderful to catch them again, only a year after the last time in France. I like the Ellingtonian touch they have recently developed. Always developing, improving and delighting. No problem with the dancers, surely a legitimate aspect of the jazz heritage?
Denis THOMAS
Tuna Skinny is a street performance band. Whether they play on Royal Street, in a bar or somewhere on the continent, street dancers are a welcome visual addition, especially if they dance well. If the band is doing what they mean to do, people will dance, and God bless 'em.
Robin is as uncomfortable speaking French as I am speaking (and especially understanding verbally) English. But he is making progress. We will be pleased to help him here in France in the coming years ;-))
I see 3 vids of them performing "Tell Me to Do Right," but nothing when I search "tuba skinny why don't you do right." Fwiw, I've listened to several vids of them on YT and haven't heard that track (if you're talking about the one made famous by Peggy Lee with Benny Goodman). Also, it's not listed on any of the CDs they've released: tubaskinny.com/music
If you mean the Lil Green tune performed by Amy Irving (as Jessica Rabbit) in "Who Framed Roger Rabbit", I don't think they've covered it. It's more a blues tune than traditional jazz.
I agree completely. We can listen and watch, all at the same time. Check these dancers. They begin around 1:30, or so: th-cam.com/video/b-NbCcgo0d0/w-d-xo.html
@Jeffrey Kern I guess the camera was installed by the band itself … Still those French … (PS. Don't tell me I'm prejudiced or that kind of thing : I know. I'm one…)
@vincent7520: I kinda like seeing the dancers come in and out of the frame -- gives me more of a sense of the place, and I value that. Chacun à son goût? :)

This was filmed in France where people take street music seriously and dancing is part of the whole and I am sure that Tuba Skinny loved the appreciative audience. I live in France so am biased. You might be better off watching an indoor concert with seating.
sez a sedentary web surfer isolated from people who actually go to participate in a live music experience - oui, it's all about your own solipsistic experience (non)
Stand in the way for whom? For other in the non-seated audience? For other dancers? This is music meant for dancing, and TS enjoys people dancing when they are playing.

I love the dancers, who really seem to know their stuff - absolutely the right response to cheerful music like this.
I add my thanks for these fine videos ... the dancing didn't distract too much, remember this music started in New Orleans bars and dance halls.
Letting France and the world know that America still exports wonderful and uplifting talent. Thank you TS from a Dutch Canadian. Please visit us soon!

Sorry . . . of course I meant Tuba Skinny.

Great to hear that banjo coming through loud and strong.
Thanks for sharing your videos. Very enjoyable.
Thank you for all the videos you have made, your videos introduced me to Tuba Skinny. for that I will be forever thankful.
It's great that they've gone back to the bass drum / wash board combo.
.... base drum is basically a 'prop' ....... 🏫😕
Erikaaaaaaaaaa !
Nice to hear this early Ellington piece being revived by TS ("Rainy Nights"
Beautiful music... love you all
Siempre magistrales temas,grandes músicos,puro sentimiento
Shaye,la reina sensible,ellas es música

Finally the Maestro Robin Rapuzzi no more mustaches !!!
I love you Erica.❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍
Super !!👏👏
You have an 80 yr old male fan who binge watches you in Oregon.
that makes 2 80 yr old males from Oregon
sind absolut einzigartig, alle!!
Oui!
Wonderful!
Awesome musicians and dancers if you could see them 😓
I'm sure Robin has brushed up on his French-speaking skills. Beautiful language.
Robin is as uncomfortable speaking French as I am speaking (and especially understanding verbally) English. But he is making progress. We will be pleased to help him here in France in the coming years ;-))
Dancing to a live band a lost activity here in the land that invented jazz. See what actual fun it is?
Before and during work, I spend as much time as possible on You Tube just to take in some MORE Tuba Skinny !!!
Great music; great musicianship. Wish you'd try to look like you're having fun once in a while!
Steve Yee Ibe said the exact same thing. I love them but they’re low on energy.
Best Best Best,!!!!!
Eccellenti tutti
Did I hear a vid of Tuba Skinny doing "Why Don't You Do Right?" If I'm not imagining it, can someone point me to it, please?

As attractive as TS is, I enjoy watching the dancers. But most of the videos show only glimpses of them bobbing in and out at the edges of the frame.
I agree completely. We can listen and watch, all at the same time.

The sound system is not very good...unless it is because of my laptop. It seems like 2 videos and the music were mixed together.
Sounds fine to me. The sound quality ,when played on my big speakers, is as good as a CD.
There are "weird" sounding chord between 13:00 and 14:00, no?
Listened three times. Good sound... Just
my 2 cents worth.
The title of the song is Crazy Chords!
.... I believe you are referring to the key/combination ..... 😐
Michel Miconnet => Next time - please ask the young boy and the dancers to MOVE a little.
that makes 2 80 yr old males from Oregon
