Uhh. Love these guys but what makes this more real than any music coming out nowadays? They are just doing covers. I would say writing your own song would be more real and authentic than imitating music from a bygone era. Theres nothing wrong with that but i guess i dont understand what makes it “real”

The difference in volume is apparent between her and the banjo player. She projects! Which is why she can sing without a mike and still be heard over those instruments. Oh, and she's gorgeous as well.❤
A couple other singers who eschew the vibrato: Reba McIntyre & Neko Case. Just pure clear notes, right on pitch. Vibrato is often used as a crutch by lesser singers.

I'm sitting in my van on the banks of Loch Lomond in Scotland listening to this great band. It's early evening. The sun is going down. I have a single Malt Scotch in my hand. Life ain't bad.
You do know, I hope, the clarinetist is Ewan Bleach, from England... One of the all time absolute best in the world & has the awards from international competition to prove it. Actually quite a nice gentleman as well. Came over to USA many times to play with Tuba Skinny before Covid. Hadn't really followed to see if he's been back since. I believe he has quite a busy schedule. During the isolation of Covid he did hour shows every Sunday from his apartment in England, over the internet. Just himself or maybe one friend on another instrument. He performed on the piano mostly & sang but would occasionally accompany himself by playing sax or clarinet with one hand & piano with the other. I used to watch regularly.

I found this marvelous band by sheer accident yesterday at about 1 PM. It is now 11 PM on the following day. I've done nothing other than sleep, eat once and whatever unavoidable, and I can't stop playing their videos. I truly cannot understand why I've never heard of them before. But if they got the recognition they deserve, and the great wealth that would come of that, it would spoil the magic and they would be gone. As it is they are perfect. Truly perfect.
Love, love, love, street entertainment and entertainers. Travelling through soulless concrete landscapes, we need some vibrant, creative, human interaction. Working in a capitol city, travelling on municipal transport, I loved nothing better in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings, than entertainers and buskers injecting some soul into our daily routines. Met numerous, incredibly talented and amazing performers; from backgrounds in classical and mainstream music. Even got some contact numbers, for a venture I was working on, years ago. Met up with some performers, socially.
As a multi-instrumentalist musician, this is just so damn good. Love this. Love the original style of playing. No ego. No flexing. Just sheer quality playing and performing. Giving each other space in the songs. Marvelous 👌👌
