Unscrew the antenna from the mic and put it on you radio. The radio will work regardless of which spot the antenna is in, as long as one of those spots has one.

Nice set up on the vest. I would put an h-bandage and a tourniquet in that pouch in case you need to treat a fellow officer or yourself in an emergency. You must work for a pretty good department to let you use that set up. I personally love the outer vest. The state bought us a really nice one , but being an investigator for the State attorney’s office I really don’t use it much. Great video as usual. You are truly a professional and I like how you encourage other folks to get into Law Enforcement. Happy law enforcement appreciation day.❤️👍👍

Just found your channel. Thank you for everything you do. I was just hired by my local agency and quite excited. I started 2 weeks ag, just started my training and I'm really enjoying it. My department is us transitioning to the outside carriers and was just fitted.

Starting off as a security guard I rarely have had to go hands on but I found that the most frequent emergency calls I have had to make are medical in nature. So I keep a small IFAK on me and a Tourniquet in a Tourniquet holder. Always remember to watch your six and get home safe.

Ooh wee the city I live around and work in issues concealable soft armor and urges a carrier be worn on top as well. Its hard when theres 10 months of humid summer here but I'm a big fan of the protection.

Appreciate your videos. I'm also a LEO, everytime I see one of my bros and sis doing good stuff, I instantly become a fan. Can't wait to be able to wear outter vest. My department isn't a fan of that right now, because it looks too "Intimidating" to the public, and they try to establish great relationship with the people. 🙄.

Things I've noticed you could use to help you out in a pinch all of which could fit nicely in the big utility pocket
1. CAT TQ
2. Backup flashlight
3. Door Jamm tool
4. Multi tool
5. Spring loaded window punch
6. Pocket mirror like the ones for doing makeup it could be used to see around corners or possibly before entering a attic or crawl space

I got my man a Nightcore Thumb, it's a cute little flashlight that clips on on the little loops up top like where your body cam is clipped. The light swivels so if you need light when you're writing you can flip that light on. Nice for night shifters.

That center button which the arrows is programmable. On mine I use them the most when I have to change zones (which changes which groups are programmed on the channel selector knob on top).

That’s true i work for DC Police Department as a Police cadet they changed over to Outside Carriers in 4th Quarter of 2018 officers love it way better.

You should post make & model of carrier somewhere for those in the market. The cuff pouches are cool. Carrying cuffs on the vest should blunt any strikes or falls on your cuffs. Slick!
I know some police officers that wear the outside one, and under their uniform shirt. I don’t know how effective that is, but it works for them I guess.

Also. I found the cuffs rather in an odd position. During the moments you might need it, I feel also it would be difficult for one to reach the cuffs . I like em on my duty belt or the front

I have work with women in law enforcement and security some women are tougher than men in this job I had women back me up and I have backed a women so please women can do this job the same way a man can do. So if you have a problem with women putting on the Badge go talk to a female officer she puts her life on the line just as a man so have some respect towards women in law enforcement please.
We have women passing US Army Ranger School, and flying fighter jets and for everyone one circumstance you can find a woman dropping the ball I show ten where they excelled, what you should base your measurements on is commitment to the organization and level of personal and professional development they bring to the table , further more if you where under my scope of supervision you be going through some EEO training
@@shanemcallister1734 you should look into the first few women who passed ranger school, they were given several months off before hand, and were given personal trainers and dietitians. and some say they were given special treatment during the actual course.
I'd be more concerned with the overweight cops then female cops. Let's talk about real issues!! 🤣

I have the same carrier. Pretty much the same set up however I keep some quick clot pouches in the junk pouch as I call it.

Vest Carriers are good for Officers backs and there are some vest carriers that looks like a Uniform Shirt and it gets some of the weight off the duty belt and my dream is to be a police officer and I would pick the vest Carrier and You can keep the taser and gun on the belt for muscle memory and you can put the radio on the vest or keep it on the belt and you could put handcuffs,Magazine's on the vest and a baton on the vest and I would keep the Gun,Taser and Radio on the belt

just watched 2 videos one thing your gear is missing is a good knife and or multitool. i hope you buy either a leatherman wave, or a charge tti. a good pair of pliers, with a few sharp blades will do you well. everything from seat-belt cutting to fixing gear you will need.
