    Jai Bhole Ki! Many times the fruits and vegetables in small markets are much tastier than supermarket counterparts. Supermarkets are more interested in shelf life and appearance which causes farmers to grow varieties selected for those qualities rather than flavor. Also the trademarking of varieties influence what smaller farms can grow.

    "Kya maangta hai?" means two things -
    "What do you want?"
    "What are you begging?"
    because "maangta" word also means begging.
    That latter meaning is what that last lady took. So she replied "Main kuch nahi maangta(i), sabzi khareed rahi hoon". - "I'm not begging anything I'm buying vegetables here!!"

      @@MoonStruckHorrorsX Aww thanks for caring about me. I was mostly kidding around. I think that's the great thing about watching Mr. Bald & Harald, particularly Harald showing how with fewer or no Indian language skills, the Indian people are friendly & for the most part are willing to open up a dialogue, even if it's hand signals & such to accommodate their visitors. I'm in my 'bucket list' years & would most likely go to the high population tourist areas, which I'm sure English speakers are heavily employed. But for any younger people I hope they see their ability to go off road, so to speak, away from the tourist areas & visit the vast countryside!

    Hi Bald, I have to laugh, I love watching your videos, they're addictive and help me relive my times there now that I'm stuck at home in Australia. I think I just watched 4 in a row.
    Now I know you know lots of good Hindi, but I thought I'd help you out with some of the vegetables that confused you. The long white carrot-shaped veg called Mouli, is a type of radish. The red carrot that you thought was a strange parsnip, or radish, or something, was actually a red carrot (Gajar). The Aubergine/eggplant are called Baign (sounds like baygun, but shorten the end sound).
    Banana = Kela
    Mandarin/Tangarine = Narangi (thank you Rohit Saxena)
    Lemon = Nimboo
    Potato = Aloo

    14:07 you asked "aap kya mangta" in Mumbai accent... but literally it means what are you asking. generally people ask for something in free. that's why she said "sabzi khareed rahe hai" in Punjabi accent which you mistook as "sab theek hai". Just a few things i wanted you to know.😉
    also, 13:30 was funny 😂 but people are so kind. nice video.

    This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen. Whenever I travel, I always check out the markets, they're the best! And I'll be your wife, all you gotta do is say the word and I'll leave Mister O'Troy in the dust. Because I'm sure you've been waiting all your life for a soft, pudgy, post menopausal woman to call your own. I'm here for you.

    I watch your videos on a 27"monitor @ 1080p, the picture quality of your videos is amazing. The camera you use is not a fancy expensive one, but it's quality is as good as the China Vloggers I watch that use $1000+ cameras. Mooli is a long white crunchy vegetable from the radish family, daikon is similar in appearance to fresh horseradish but packs a lighter peppery punch similar to watercress. Unlike other radishes, it is as good cooked as it is raw. It is also known as mooli.

      Mooli, tomatoes, beetroots, cucumber, cabbage, green turmeric, red onions. Chop/cut these all in small thin pieces and sprinkle some salt and lemon on it and mix it well with a spoon in bowl. The best healthiest Salad ever. I eat this salad everyday. You'll get majority of the vitamins and nutritions from that medium sized bowl of salad. Perfect immunity booster. You can add fine chopped ginger as well if you like spicy salad 🥗😋 Eat this everyday with Lunch and it'll magically help your digestive system and will keep your body warm from inside in winter season. Don't add any extra spices other than salt otherwise the original taste of salad will be gone. 🥗
