It’s interesting to see the average Protestant or secular westerner’s astonishment at religious festivals in the east. Go to any Catholic or Orthodox country and there are hundreds if not thousands of amazingly colourful festivals, services, and holy days. Corpus Christi, the festivals of the Madonna, the Good Friday processions and annual Holy Week services, Benediction, Latin Mass, Gregorian chanted liturgies, Greek chanted liturgies, ancient Aramaic services...all of them with massive attendance. In Italy or Portugal etc almost every village and town has its own local saint’s day with a festa and street food and so on. Anyone in London can go somewhere like the Brompton Oratory and attend a full sung Latin Mass with an amazing choir in an astounding church. And that’s the pity really- tourists come here to see our culture and architecture but we just walk past it. In fact, England was once so famous in Europe for its religious piety and colourful religious celebrations that it was known as “Our Lady’s Dowry” in honour of the country’s profound devotion to the Madonna. In fact (where Europe is concerned) it’s only in most of the cold north of Europe that religious festivals are treated as unusual- in the rest of the continent it’s the exact same as India etc; part of the ordinary colour of life. Small shrines all over Spain, Portugal, Ireland, Poland, etc- the same tiny little roadside shrines to Mary or a local saint, little chapels dotted all over the countryside. And, lo and behold, those countries tend to have far friendlier and family-oriented societies where money and status aren’t seen as the only things in life. Sadly, I think a lot of our so-called “progressive life” in the west has lost its soul. We can’t even take five minutes out of our day to give thanks to the Universe for all that we have. And that’s really what religious practise is- a bond with life itself. And each other.
Thankyou Mr bald because of you I'm able to find more value and enjoyment in routine and regular things of my country and this helps me specially when I'm feeling stressed/sad or helpless because of you I'm able to take things lightly and enjoy the rhythm, present and believe that everything is going to be alright while doing my part with positive energy without thinking much.

The twelve lingas around the picture of child Shiva are called the twelve jyotirlingas, these are belived to be twelve self-menifested shiva lingam which have their own history (called sthal purana), distributed all around India. The one at Varanasi is called Kashi Vishwanath (the lord of the world of the city of light). Varanasi is the holiest place for Shaivites. It is believed that Kashi is separate from the three worlds, as it is held by Shiva's trishula (trident).
You said pilgrimage and then took forever to remember the word pilgrim! Haha! I forget English words when I'm not speaking English too! It cracks me up!

"Varanasi is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together" - Mark Twain Benaras/Varanasi/Kashi is a mystical place in twilight zone where your senses all start to get jumbled & your mind mixes them together as if you're in an LCD induced dream.
There are lots of beautiful places on Earth. No need to be arrogant about your own country. If you are so proud of it maybe you'll keep it clean. Thanks.
Shiva linga is representing Lord Shiv itself, And the cylindrical part represent universe ❤ and many more knowledge you can get from priest or who have vedic knowledge, And you should excuse for your bad words regarding God shiv without knowing Fact 🙏🙏🙏
In Sanskrit ‘linga’ means ‘mark’, so the lingam is an identification or symbol - of the formless Shiva who is manifest all over the universe. How does one identify or connect to Him who has no form? There needs to be a sign to identify Him. For this, the ancient seers placed a round or oval or cylindrical stone and related it to Lord Shiva.
Har Har Mahadev - is the real/ancient/common version of hailing for Shiva devotees... Jai Bhole ki is colloquial and not very common - if you notice not many respond to your Jai Bhole ki... Perhaps your channel will make Jay Bhole ki popular!!

Friendliness, a sense of humour, and a respect for others culture, are the universal languages, that join us in spirit.

"Varanasi is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together" - Mark Twain
Benaras/Varanasi/Kashi is a mystical place in twilight zone where your senses all start to get jumbled & your mind mixes them together as if you're in an LCD induced dream.
There are lots of beautiful places on Earth. No need to be arrogant about your own country. If you are so proud of it maybe you'll keep it clean. Thanks.
I don't travel much , makes me feel like I'm there lol only vloger I can watch 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
जय भोले की जय महाकाल सबसे ऊपर सबसे प्यारा
thank you Bhai
Jay bhole ki🙏🇮🇳
Har Har Mahadev - is the real/ancient/common version of hailing for Shiva devotees... Jai Bhole ki is colloquial and not very common - if you notice not many respond to your Jai Bhole ki... Perhaps your channel will make Jay Bhole ki popular!!
Love you guys.. You are awsome Bald..as always! Nice work. Keep it up.. Have a great life 💖
I am addicted to your youtube channel...
