Great content Reese, I'm glad you are still bringing us videos of your operation. On those sweltering hot days of keeping up with irrigators, you should carry you a hammock around that you can string up under one of them and just relax for about 20 minutes........
I think all farmers should be on some kind of workout program as much as you all lift heavy objects in a season. Don't hurt your back Reese, have to be healthy for the harvest season. Dennis should patent all of those inventions he comes up with. Keep it between the rows 🚜🌽🌽
I feel for George. Seeing him in that heat/humidity, I can feel it myself. I used to be indestructible but after a certain age us guys of a certain age need to be more careful and not temp fate.
Add a rubber grommet in the hole you drilled for the hoses or the vibration from the corn head will cause the metal of the hole to rub through the hose. Overall that is a great work around on the header.
I am not a farmer but I have family here in Iowa that are and love learning about what it takes to become successful. I also love seeing the economics of farming happening here on on other channels. For something to have real value on a farm it has to pay off. Any farm that runs Irrigation seems to be constantly battling break downs and expensive repairs. However every farm will pour endless amounts of labor and money in to keeping those rigs running. Because it’s water on the crop on that will always pay off no matter how much extra work they cause you. The beans under that irrigation looked phenomenal and that water during the heat will help them tremendously. The Irrigated acres you have will definitely help the bottom line this year because if you like most of the Midwest it’s been dry! Wishing you all the best as you near harvest!

Hey George...walk up into sugar can on a 95 degree day, after a rain shower, now that's a sauna...lol...then do it all day, scouting cane...beans are a respite from the sauna, you get the breeze...lol

My day job is working in a foundry, nice thing is when you go outside after work it’s never as hot as the weather man says lol
