    Hey everyone, we have technical issues for the first 11 minutes of the interview. I'm sorry about that. Hang in there because it self-corrects.

      Galactic Storyteller this is fascinating. Where is the book 📚 and why has it gone so quiet ? Or maybe I just don’t know where to look. I recon that Trebas approach of doing historical background checks and thereby digging up the magical and Masonic evolution is revolutionary and invaluable in capturing the whole mosaic ! Looks like mo church is bound to face an identity crisis 2.0 #yesmo #yesme

    Joseph didn't use a stone in a hat. Independent researchers have learned so much about Joseph Smith and that is one of those things.

    D&C passages came from Hyrums letters (verbatim) - watch 1:10:10
    Smith family mindset: Bring people to Christ was seen a good thing, not a con !
    David Trebas did a great job and makes 2 strong points
    1- The Book of Mormon is deeply rooted in 19th century history and neither ancient nor original. It is built on borrowed literature
    2- The Book of Mormon is a Smith Family Production (regardless of who actually wrote it, the composition is the brain child of the combined Smith Family and the environmental and literature influences they where actually manifestly exposed to). It is not the magical imaginative production of an illiterate farm boy. The combined Smith family has the intellectual resources to compose the Book of Mormon.

    There were two manuscripts. Lucy had one and Martha brought one out west. It's my understanding that Lucy gave her copy to Orson Pratt who took it to Britain and had it published without Brigham's consent. He was furious. Eventually Martha gave her copy to Brig while she helped found the University named for him. Brigham had promised Martha, my ancestor, and the saints no.. more.. polygamy. But when he got them isolated in the great basin he demand everyone live the principle. I have Martha's journals and she rarely used exclamation marks accept in regards to Brigs insistence over the pulpit on polygamy.

    The Galactic Storyteller has another Ah Ha moment in her future. The first one was the discovery of the accurate history of Mormonism...WOW! Now, based on her revealing questions to Paul, I learn she needs to apply the exact same degree of scrutiny to the origins of Christianity (any organized religion) as she has applied to Mormonism! She will discover that it's one of the greatest stories ever 'sold'!! But, my intuition tells me that she will resist the effort to discover the truth regarding christianity that she originally did protecting her belief in Mormonism...

    • @galacticstoryteller9649
      @galacticstoryteller9649  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You are wrong Craig in your definitive statement, which bares no truth. I can tell you haven't reviewed all my material or you wouldn't have written a narrow profile of my inner-standing and knowledge of the real of the world, which includes fake Christianity btw. The way you approached your short-sided analysis of me is disrespectful, without merit, and purely reactionary. I'm wondering if your eagerness to judge another, or shall I say give an impulsive opinion, is indicative of a life-long pattern of jumping to conclusions... I'm making a harsh reply in the hopes that you'll take a little more time and gain more insight before publicly rendering false judgements on ppl you don't know. I'd also recommend reviewing how many other times in your life your "intuition" has lead you and others astray. "Ah Ha!!!!"

    • @paramotorman1
      @paramotorman1 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@galacticstoryteller9649 Wow! That is a harsh reply! My assessment was based upon what you said regarding the roots of christianity. You lead me to believe it was your opinion that the erroneous roots of mormonism was different than the roots of christianity. After decades of research myself I have found great similarities between the two. Fake, fantasy, myth and misdirection are a few adjectives I would use to describe both of them...
      I really enjoyed your work and thought I'd like to subscribe. I apologize for upsetting you. That was not my intent. My christian Ah Ha moments started coming in the early 90's and continue to this day. This of course after being a died in the wool christian, a teacher of theology, a masters degree in both education administration and religious instruction. and a staunch believer for the first half of my life. Oh well....
      Keep up the good work. Hopefully, the anger will subside....

    • @galacticstoryteller9649
      @galacticstoryteller9649  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No anger. Was not my pleasure in writing that. Apology accepted and thank you Craig.
      When I'm interviewing others, we focus on their material. I might make a comment here and there, ask questions of course, but typically don't use it as a platform to to voice my own views. I do a lot of that in my own videos.
      Mormonism has an occult history, not Christian origins which is why I cover a lot of the occult, that which is hidden, in my videos. So many have tried to compare Mormonism to Christianity but it misses the mark every time since it wasn't birthed from it. That's been my position on Mormonism from the beginning so hopefully I am making that clear in my videos. I wouldn't want to mislead anyone into thinking I'm Christian. I am a spiritual being and do not subscribe to any religion. Thank you for your last reply.

      If you want to understand Jesus through scholarship, look at Bart Ehrman for instance.
      The Book of Mormon has as much to do with Jesus as a Course in Miracles does.

    This is interesting regarding the Smiths intimate ties to Dartmouth University.
    From Doctine and Covenants:
    D&C 88
    66. Behold, that which you hear is as the voice of one crying in the wilderness-in the wilderness, because you cannot see him-my voice, because my voice is Spirit; my Spirit is truth; truth abideth and hath no end; and if it be in you it shall abound.
    Motto of Dartmouth University
    Motto
    Latin: Vox clamantis in deserto
    Motto in English:
    A voice crying out in the wilderness

    The spirit of that ancient prophet even heard his voice, " crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord : make straight in the ...
    Holy Saints Of John of Masonry
    The Holy Saints John of Masonry ... in The Great Light as being Ԡ™A voice crying in the wilderness,â€(John 1: 23) ...

    Very fascinating, extremely interesting...
    For some reason I knew the Smiths had exposure to Masonry prior to starting the church and being in Illinois. This now gives more credence to that idea.

    Holy cats! Lucy Smith sounds like she wrote the same way as my grandmother did. My grandmother ‘edited’ out a LOT of things, stories that I lived and knew the whole truth of, my grandmother left out the ugly truth! My grandmother made everything sound wonderful that actually had a rather sordid side to it....and she added drama where it suited her better. Makes me question everything my grandmother wrote. After all, she was a member of a writer’s guild.
    My ‘life story’ will ‘correct’ some of the ‘tales’ that my grandmother wrote. Sorry, but some things about some of my narcissistic relatives, were not very nice.....I will tell the raw truth of what really happened. If they don’t like that, too bad. I lived it.

    So many great interviews and subject variety. I/we all look forward to more hopefully soon? Meanwhile going back through them to catch goodies that whizzed past me the first pass. My wife and I loved the Krity Allen Interview and said that sounds just like the many things Mormonism hides, till she got to the gun part, then we had some reservation. But, since she has run into others telling many similar memories, minus a shoot-out, but armed. A lot fo that big fat fund for Jesus is going into goodies for top leaders and especially for high power attorneys with amazing con-nections, to threaten and defend the corruption at so many levels.
    The church has always had a defense force and enforcers. Sounds like Jesus? This isn't just in Mormonism or religion, but everywhere. The nature of the scum of humanity, always. So many rabbit holes, so little time. But, you are nuts and conspiracy theorists if you go questioning their dogma doo doo or examining any rabbit holes. If you don't follow their non-religious cults blindly you are beyond an apostate or doubter, you are a "Denier!" Welcome to the Most Hole-y Churches of Sciecneology, Climatology, Pharmacology..... Human nature of the worst, obliging to the sheeple demanding to be $aved, not just religiously.
