The expansion of Valyria continued against the Rhoynar and Andals ( • Of Dragons and Turtles... ), and eventually led to the defeat of the Rhoynar and coming of Nymeria and her ten thousand ships to Westeros.

Here's a beautiful part that you have omitted. When Nymeria arrives in Dorne and decides that this is where they should live, she burns all the ships. Great video!
Andalus style
Kinda dumb to be honest.
Interesting how in the past magic was both common and had such a bigger role and yet when the main events of the song of ice and fire begin it has become so rare and weak that many doubt even its existence
pretty much think of dragons as mana generators and when dany hatched her dragons she was bringing magic back to the world in a big way
@@MrGalagoth Yep. ASOIAF is kind of the opposite of LOTR, where magic is returning to the world and getting stronger instead of fading. As the books go on, the magic flares more and more.
just like real life
@@michaelhenry3234 I would say that LOTR is the "last hurrah" of magic. As the third age ends with the Three Rings going into the west and the fourth age with the fading of the elves, dwarves, orcs and Ents.
Garin and Nymeria were two of the greatest leaders to ever exist in Essos and Mother Rhoyne was one of the greatest religions
Can you imagine the sight of some 300 dragons possibly of the size of Balerion coming over the horizon?
I love the 3d character portraits but the 3d map is a bit disorientating to me. A simpler 2d design with schematic symbols would have been better in my personal opinion. But of course others may like it
it's a lot easier to make 3d maps than to pay someone to draw maps
Great job on this .. can't wait for the doom of valyria
Thanks so very much for this video and all the others. A great deal of research had to be done for this. Deeply appreciated
YEAH! Love your GOT videos guys! Thanks For this ❤❤❤
Great new effects! Excellent work, love these.
Great video keep it up you're doing amazing things 😁👍
Hoping for a new First Law video soon!
Amazing!
The point of her burning her ships to prevent her people from going back never made sense to me. I mean, their homeland was completely wiped out by Valyria by that point, so what would've even been left for them to go back to? That act just looks like a waste of a perfectly good fleet🤔
On a earlier stop a bunch of ships did go back and were immediantly enslaved
There wasn't exactly 1000 ships as some went back and were lost (enslaved I think). They also probably didn't leave Sothoryos with all their ships, as they lost thousands of people in the cursed city of Yeen, likely some of the worse off ships were left behind.
Either way though... a waste of a perfectly good fleet as you say
You litterally explained why it made sense
You forget that most, if not all, of her ships were river craft, not warships. And if only one in ten of them were even remotely seaworthy at the beginning, then they must have been even less so by the time they got to Dorne. So, no, no big loss burning her ships there.
Can’t wait for them to make this show!
Keep up the great work!
considing the dragon host its kind of amazing she made it down the river without being seen just after a campaign
You should do a what if series on if Alexander lived longer😊
The Rhoynar reminds me of the Britons who left Brittany in France for the British Isles and established their kingdom there.
You should really return to 2D artwork.
Anyone's thoughts of a wizards and warriors video of Narnia?
I do
6:37 the Deep Space Nine Crown!
Yes now more Elder scrolls! More Elder scrolls!
A video on the RHOYNAR & NYMERIA!!!
*Was literally just reading Game of Thrones recently to absolutely perfecg timing for this video*
*Btw When Can we see the next alternate history project on this channel*
*really want to see a Scenario on what if Native americans better acclimated to old world tech advantage and better immunity to diseases*
*ive seen a couple ideas going around like a mongol naval campaign gone wrong and a battalion of mongol soldeirs and East asian conscripts crash into the west coast with Iron weapons, early gunpowder, Horses and diseases*
*Just imaginging the Apache brutality + insane mongol horses and war tactics, modernized weaponry and armour and +300 years time to prepare for western colonization*
Woe
"Rhoynar" river region kinda sounds like "Rhine" river region from Western Europe that serves as a border between France and Germany.
🐲
🙂👍
Might want to fix this title for SEO purposes.

If The Rhoynar had united as 1 united force in the first War they fought with Valyria they could have won with masses of Water Magic drowing the skies and the Dragons with them.
