Konami should go back to making starter decks in pairs that are meant to play against each other. I always thought that was so neat in other card games that did that.
I'd more love to see them all used, presuming Team APS hasn't broken them up for easier storage, in a big house tourney where we can see decks from every era show up with the rule you can 5 cards from any era to the deck. Not enough to totally make up for power imbalance extra deck wise but it would make for challenging and rewarding tune up on some decks as well as creative strategy.

These older decks were so simple and new player friendly. you just shuffled and were good to go. Current YGO is so convoluted and confusing for a returning or a new player
IMO the new structure decks are even better for new players because they only use very basic cards and have fairly in depth explanations of what the specific extra deck gimmick for that structure deck is. The new decks also ease you into it better and give a better experience than the old decks where it was just set card then pass turn. Just because not all cards are as generic, boring, and unbalanced as old sets doesn’t mean the game is worse off if anything there’s just more for a new player
Crazy to think that that change of heart is actually legal. 🤯 Also maybe in the duel where Yugi duels Joey (at the end, for Red-Eyes) that Yugi just straight bricked and got all his high-level monsters and drew for turn the spell book that can only be equipped to DM. I feel like using the summon effect of last will would put you in MP2...
This channel is so underatted. What you guys should do is upload shorts and describing one card per video and how to use them and summon them. That would help me a lot because I still need help with my Yu-Gi-Oh
That's actually a great video format idea. Feature a card, go over it, and talk about advantages and disadvantages as well as potential combos and other uses, deck builds ect. There is a near endless supply of content for that.

Me and an old friend each bought one of the decks when they came out and played against each other. I had the Kaiba deck and he had the Yugi deck. Growing up in the DM era was so much fun. Good times.
Of all the "We duel each other" series from all the yugitubers, I think these are favorite. Obviously there's some nostalgia bias, but I also really appreciate how you guys are always clear and deliberate in your actions, on top of reading and explaining all the cards, making it really easy to follow. The anime references are goofy but sincere, there's no way you'd be doing this for as long as you have if you weren't into it. This shit's just light and wholesome. And playing the decks as they were without any modification is really nice. Forces you to make use of cards most people would otherwise never even see.
These classic structure deck duels are arguably my favorite kind of content from you guys; but as a whole you've really revitalized my love for yugioh. Started playing link evo and now master duel largely because of your content
These were the best decks of their era, they really were the ones that made me get into the game truly. I had already bought the first set (All 4 of them) and watched the anime, but these sets were what I started to actually understand how to play off of cards, how to make setups and progress in tactics, it along with many other influencess at the time created a joy in me for strategy.
I love the nostalgia of seeing these decks! My Sister and I played these decks for months! Then they became the basis for our own evolved Yugi and Kaiba decks from Battle City!

Not gonna lie I remember Kaiba's Evo Starter being WAY MORE LOADED than this o.o; Still it did fairly well to win but something tells me I mixed it with some stuff without realizing it and that's where my memories of it being so good day 1 come from XD The best moment has to be Alec telling the three monsters threatening his life "Git! Get on out of here!" after activating Dark Hole. XD The sweat and relief run down his face was equal that play I'll tell you! Very fun matches guys.
Yeah, the Yugi one was definitely the better of the two. It has the most normal summon beat sticks and with higher atk, more high def walls, highest atk 1 tribute summon, it has Dark Hole, MST and Pot of Greed while Kaiba has Burst Breath, Dust Tornado and Jar of Greed.
I’m so sad cause I had sarter deck kaiba, yugi, joey, pegasus, Yugi evolution, kaiba evolution, and the dragons roar/zombie madness structure deck growing up and still wish had the full complete decks. Now only have bits and pieces of them, as some were lost, misplaced or stolen over the yrs. If had the money I would totally buy every starter and structure deck again, but at least these duels help recapture my childhood. Love the the channels guys! 🙂

I know they weren’t released in the TCG but you could still make the OG character theme structure decks from the OCG that way we’d have battle city theme decks too, including Marik’s.
It would be very interesting if you played these decks with the Fusion monsters "gaia, the campion of dragons" in yugi's deck and "twin-headed thunder dragon" in kaiba's deck. Well, if in the anime they use these cards, why not make a modification and use these decks in the live game since joey's deck is the only one that has fusion?

Does this old Yugi deck run a Kuriboh? I have also a suggestion: there is this fantastic box I bought with three legendary Yugi's decks: Grandpa deck (with no pathetic cards), the tournament deck and the last deck (Atem vs Yugi). Can you buy one of it or two and then make some duels, choosing every duel one different deck. It would be fun!

In that first duel I knew the moment you attacked Feral Imp instead of Summoned Skull that that was a misplay, and it seems like it did cost you the duel.
Can you guys redo the original and evolution starter deck duels, but reduce each deck to only have 40 cards each so it's more competitive and that you're able to remove bad cards
I’d like to see an interpretation of the anime characters decks with the current TCG card pool, for example with the cards available up to battle of chaos how do you believe yugi and Kaiba would build their decks In addition to that you have to keep in mind that kaiba has to have 3 blue-eyes and yugi can only play 1 dark magician and 1 dark magician girl

Konami should go back to making starter decks in pairs that are meant to play against each other. I always thought that was so neat in other card games that did that.

I'd more love to see them all used, presuming Team APS hasn't broken them up for easier storage, in a big house tourney where we can see decks from every era show up with the rule you can 5 cards from any era to the deck. Not enough to totally make up for power imbalance extra deck wise but it would make for challenging and rewarding tune up on some decks as well as creative strategy.

I like these old school duels. I don’t play anymore and can’t recognize or follow the new cards so I prefer these older duels with simpler effects and cards I actually recognize.

These older decks were so simple and new player friendly. you just shuffled and were good to go. Current YGO is so convoluted and confusing for a returning or a new player
This is why I play with Battle City rules only. The new rules are ridiculous.

IMO the new structure decks are even better for new players because they only use very basic cards and have fairly in depth explanations of what the specific extra deck gimmick for that structure deck is. The new decks also ease you into it better and give a better experience than the old decks where it was just set card then pass turn. Just because not all cards are as generic, boring, and unbalanced as old sets doesn’t mean the game is worse off if anything there’s just more for a new player
I always forget that not everyone had an actual Yu-gi-oh champion to teach them the basics of Yu-gi-oh.

This channel is so underatted. What you guys should do is upload shorts and describing one card per video and how to use them and summon them. That would help me a lot because I still need help with my Yu-Gi-Oh

Me and an old friend each bought one of the decks when they came out and played against each other. I had the Kaiba deck and he had the Yugi deck. Growing up in the DM era was so much fun. Good times.
Of all the "We duel each other" series from all the yugitubers, I think these are favorite.
Obviously there's some nostalgia bias, but I also really appreciate how you guys are always clear and deliberate in your actions, on top of reading and explaining all the cards, making it really easy to follow. The anime references are goofy but sincere, there's no way you'd be doing this for as long as you have if you weren't into it. This shit's just light and wholesome.
And playing the decks as they were without any modification is really nice. Forces you to make use of cards most people would otherwise never even see.
These classic structure deck duels are arguably my favorite kind of content from you guys; but as a whole you've really revitalized my love for yugioh. Started playing link evo and now master duel largely because of your content
These were the best decks of their era, they really were the ones that made me get into the game truly. I had already bought the first set (All 4 of them) and watched the anime, but these sets were what I started to actually understand how to play off of cards, how to make setups and progress in tactics, it along with many other influencess at the time created a joy in me for strategy.
I love the nostalgia of seeing these decks!

Not gonna lie I remember Kaiba's Evo Starter being WAY MORE LOADED than this o.o; Still it did fairly well to win but something tells me I mixed it with some stuff without realizing it and that's where my memories of it being so good day 1 come from XD The best moment has to be Alec telling the three monsters threatening his life "Git! Get on out of here!" after activating Dark Hole. XD The sweat and relief run down his face was equal that play I'll tell you! Very fun matches guys.
Yeah, the Yugi one was definitely the better of the two. It has the most normal summon beat sticks and with higher atk, more high def walls, highest atk 1 tribute summon, it has Dark Hole, MST and Pot of Greed while Kaiba has Burst Breath, Dust Tornado and Jar of Greed.

I’m so sad cause I had sarter deck kaiba, yugi, joey, pegasus, Yugi evolution, kaiba evolution, and the dragons roar/zombie madness structure deck growing up and still wish had the full complete decks. Now only have bits and pieces of them, as some were lost, misplaced or stolen over the yrs. If had the money I would totally buy every starter and structure deck again, but at least these duels help recapture my childhood. Love the the channels guys! 🙂

I've never seen anyone play The Paladin of White Deagons irl. That's definitely a highlight of seeing these duels.
It would be very interesting if you played these decks with the Fusion monsters "gaia, the campion of dragons" in yugi's deck and "twin-headed thunder dragon" in kaiba's deck. Well, if in the anime they use these cards, why not make a modification and use these decks in the live game since joey's deck is the only one that has fusion?

I remember when you guys built water and fire deck and they used them in a duel, this one is one of my fav duels on the Channel. Will we see by any chance how you guys build a wind and earth decks, or light and dark decks? And then duel with them of course (earth vs wind and light vs dark)
If they do earth they should do high def and then there attackers are tribute monsters

In that first duel I knew the moment you attacked Feral Imp instead of Summoned Skull that that was a misplay, and it seems like it did cost you the duel.

The Hane Hane grab was nice
Can you guys redo the original and evolution starter deck duels, but reduce each deck to only have 40 cards each so it's more competitive and that you're able to remove bad cards
I’d like to see an interpretation of the anime characters decks with the current TCG card pool, for example with the cards available up to battle of chaos how do you believe yugi and Kaiba would build their decks
In addition to that you have to keep in mind that kaiba has to have 3 blue-eyes and yugi can only play 1 dark magician and 1 dark magician girl
I think there is a Joey evolution starter deck but it was only released in Japan. I believe the cover card was Jinzo

So I have several questions... At 6:36 I heard him say he was going to chain raigeki break and the eye of truth and he played in vocal order. If he was playing a chain, wouldn't the last card in the chain play 1st, i.e. his eye of truth?
@ 9:26, when you played tribute to the doomed to destroy mystical elf, you played uraby and your 1800 beat stick was in the GV with monster reborn in the hand, since you hadn't entered the BP yet, couldn't you have played your MR at this time to bring back your 1800 beat stick, this having three monsters sooner, thus beefing your defenses?
@ 15:32 when shadow spell was played on zombyra before damage calc, couldn't he have recinded his attack declaration, and keep zombyra on the field for another turn?
