This was REALLY fun to watch. It did make me realize something though. Ra kinda has Marik themed support and Slifer has Yugi themed support, but where is Obelisk's Kaiba themed support?

The day someone activates Sparks after I summon Ra is the day I'll staple my balls to the ceiling.
It's actually been usable he himself has hard-core support in comparison to the others

Gotta say, searching out Crystal Beast Amethyst Cat is my single favorite thing to do in this matchup.
@@thatguyyouknow3931 no it is not. That chicken is completely terrible and the only reason its not the worst god card is because Silfer's stats always suck thanks to the huge minus you need to take to summon it and his floodgate effect is at best inconsequental in this day and age.
I fell like Alec shouldn’t be allowed to activate “Ancient Chant” without saying the chant.

Now this is a Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel! I love how the decks are built and those, "but wait, you have activated my trap card!" moments.
FINALLY someone dueling with actual and "best" versions of God decks and not just lame structure deck duels. AND playing it properly where you did not forget cards effects *cough Slifer cough*. Awesome video and awesome duel! Keep up!

That second duel was amazing. Ra was always my favorite God card, and seeing Alec's deck perform that well was like a childhood dream come true

Holy moly, these were some of the most exciting duels I have ever seen. The back and forth was just epic! That's Yu-Gi-Oh for me! Amazing content!
Funny duel, cherry on the cake: Slifer the Executive Producer won, that's my favorite God card.

35:18 He missed the opportunity to chain slifer's effect to Ra's summon, reducing its attack points by 2000.
He also missed Slifer's effect when he summoned the monster during the battle phase.
Also, Slifer's effect is a trigger effect, so it will always activate, not by choice, when a monster is summoned in attack.
Basically, Ra should have been at 2000 attack, and the other monster should have been instantly destroyed the moment it hit the field in attack position.
But didn’t Ras Phoenix summon negate card effects including Slifers trigger effect?
Ra has the same effect as slifer meaning cards and effects cannot be activated when Ra is summoned. Ra does not lose 2000 atk points
unless slifers effect is completely mandatory and Ra would lose atk because it is a trigger effect and not a complete activation effect

After the Ra effect to go to 100 life it would have been great if Paul used sparks for game.
For 2 purely fun decks, the duel was super entertaining
This is the kind of duel I wanna see, having fun is why I'm into the game so long ago. Now it is all just about winning with those "summon my deck in one turn combo"

I love these two decks! The synergy of King's court and the Slyfer deck looks like fun. Might try building that.

So I did end up building this in Master Duel. It combos very well with the Utopia engine also Honest.

@@undutree you really just run 2 of each of the kings court supports for the trio. (Joker's knight, Arcana Triumph Joker, Joker's Wild, Joker's straight, and court of cards). A few hand trap staples (Ash and Nibiru) and 2-3 Honest can sometimes closeout games. But the fun comes by OTK ing with Utopia double/lightning since Joker's straight locks you into light warrior extra deck monsters. The rest of the deck is whatever really. Prosperity over desires since you need those extra copies of the knights.

The knight cards seem really fun to play, The cycling between deck, and graveyard is cool.
Its a fun deck, ive been using it since the new cards drop. I highly recommend
Its a pretty fun deck to play once you get used to it, but i creating a varied Extra deck of light type warrior monsters (1 or 2 Xyz monsters, 1 or 2 Link monsters, etc) to help out in situations where you aren't able to combo into summoning the bigger monsters

Man, the back and forth in these was insane. You could really feel like it was anyone's game at every moment, great video!
I honestly love how ra plays, it essentially gives you an unstoppable monster with the right cards played, but if you take one direct attack you essentially lose, so it feels like taking on a God but you don’t have to worry about struggling after it’s been defeated since you’ve already taken on the biggest challenge
I feel like the greatest troll would be to just play a card like Jinzo #7 that allows you to attack directly regardless of monsters when faced down with Ra.
Of course, this would require you to know you're going up against a Ra deck.
Oh really Phoenix mode would like to have chat take down ra and he will rise from the ashes as an immortal phoenixx

I really liked this video. Those knight cards are really cool with all the recycling, and Alec's face when his God card was tributed by Paul was priceless.

This was pretty cool, I like how Ra's support cards basically add up to giving him the effects he had in the anime. The knights seem like a lot of fun to play too

On the very last turn, they forgot that Slifer's effect would activate to reduce Ra's attack by 2k, so Alec could've been dead either way
Ra has no protection from that?
And it'd reduce Juragedo ATK to 0 and destroy it. So it would not be tributed to increase ATK of Ra

Very fun cinematic match, definitely enjoy seeing games like these and are why the theme duels are so much fun.
As a Ra fan/player I'm disappointed to see Ra fall this match, but was good games none the less. The face card knight cycling is pretty incredible to see in action.

I'm trying to get back into yugioh rn but dam those some long effect descriptions lol
yha it happens but then you'll realize wants you get used to the deck all those long texts don't even matter anymore. Like some cards are just simple like that and i always wondered why they make us read so long like we aren't that bright for yugioh players :)
Pendulums are just hard to get since they have both spell and monster effects and it goes to your extra deck

It takes a while, but eventually you learn that there are a handful of effects that a lot of cards just repeat. The card either usually negates, destroys, or special summons.
Once you get used to it, you can summarize their wall of text as a combination of those three common effects.
This set was phenomenal. It was well played by both sides. I was sad to see Ra fall since he’s my favorite god card, but you guys really went tooth and nail and it was entertaining the whole way through.
