Let's get real, the voice actors doing this with active people doing the dule is amazing. Sure they stuttered. But this is entertaining and I loved it. They kept it 100% and had a great game.
Also, they don't even have a script in front of them, like they did at some other live events. They probably even improvised some of the lines... which just goes to show, how much they not only act the role, but frickin LIVE their role.

Remember that this is duel takes its roots from the anime That means Pot of Greed is either legal or this duel is using TCG Traditional rulesets which means every Forbidden card is now Limited
I love how it sounds like Yugi and Kaiba are having a friendly, casual duel. Not only do the VA's sound as good as they did in the studios, they're having fun with it.
Eric is also a talented musician-he does rock/country/Americana. If you're new to his music, I recommend the songs "Loud Enough", "Too Late, Tonight, To Be Alone", "One Last Dance", "Jump Started", and "Lovestruck Saturday Night". 🙂

Honestly this was pure fanservice, but I can't help but enjoy watching a duel between yugi and kaiba using the actual Yu-Gi-Oh cards and rules (minus the 4000 lifepoints bit) voiced by their voice actors, that starts with kaiba pulling out three blue eyes, and ends with yugi using exodia.

It’s been over a decade since I’ve watched the original Yu-Gi-Oh series. It sounds so surreal hearing the original dubbed voices and not Little Kuriboh!

I had the pleasure of meeting Eric at a comicon years ago in a random chance elevator ride haha. One of the coolest, most down to earth people I've ever met playing two of my favorite characters 👍

This duel is fantastic, but what’s more fantastic is how the players manage to perfect fit the cards into the card spots on the field. It’s breathtaking how they do it in one shot. Truly a gift.
19:44 I’ve always believed that Yugi actually has two copies of Dark Magician in his deck. That would explain why it always get in his hand during his big duels. That and the Heart of the Cards of course.
At the end of the series it’s revealed that the pharaoh has the ability to quite literally will whatever card he wants to the top of his deck so when he gets pissed or dramatic he bends reality like domino in Deadpool 2. It’s how he was able to do durooo monsta cardo!!! Over and over without even looking. So he’s a cheater
I'd love for a line for Magician of Black Illusion, Magician's Rod, Magician's Robe, Sorcerer of Dark Magic and such in Duel Links, it feels really impersonal when Yugi Muto or the Pharaoh don't acknowledge those cards as support for the man himself Dark Magician!

@@duality6783 I got into Yu-Gi-Oh at the pendulum era, so I know alot about that, plus I watched the anime. At first xyz and synchro were confusing but they're actually quite simple.
Funny how in Yugioh Kaiba never cheats besides the Card of Demise in this game. Also tbh Kaiba in the anime always played by the rules and never used other fake rules or affects unlike Yugi in basically every duel....... Face it the reason that Yugi ever made it is by cheating... Kaiba works hard and plays by the rules to make it to his level. Yugi cheats and becomes great. Only time that yugi doesnt cheat is in Gen 2 during Kaiba's tournament.

Then again in Kaibas past that rule was ok they even showed that when Bandit Keith had a flash back to when Pegasus used his Millenium Eye to have a kid(aka Sam) beat Bandit Keith..... So technically in the anime the rules like field power bonus that was the only weird rule everything else was like that all along. Just look at games like Yugioh Sacred Cards for GBA or even older Dark Duel Stories for GBC(gameboy color) a dark monster beats a Light monster and a dream monster beats a dark. Or like Yugi had with living arrow mixed with mammoth graveyard equals a equipment monster card aka a union monster (even though that specific card has never been made). (I am partial to it being made and calling it "Mammoth Death Arrow" level 3 zombie union dark type effect monster with 1200 atk and 800 def that reads "While your opponent controls a face-up monster on their side of the field (Quick Effect) equip this to a face-up monster they control and equip it with this card. While a monster is equipped with this card, it loses 500 atk and def points during each of either player's Standby Phase. A monster whose name has Blue-eyes in its card name and/or card text loses 1000 atk and def. When a monster whose atk or def is 0 while equipped with this card, destroy that monster and if you do inflict 500 points of damage to the that players Lifepoints.)

This is the most intense battle I've seen in a very long time both sides bringing each either to the brink and all the special effects and all the times where they go from no monsters to a full field and vice versa.
Wow. Hearing their voices gives me nostalgia. While their is some stuttering, i love how passionate they voiced this scripted duel for the live audience.
29 minutes before there's a direct attack on anyone. Before that it's just constantly "I summon a bunch of monsters in 1 turn and I will attack" "Not so fast I destroy all your monsters." And repeats just for 29 minutes. I love it
Yugi try to activate a vaccine card that cure all known sickness but it had not effect since seto card was a unknown virus card a new card from the latest pack and koniama say it will take a year to create a card that can counter the card but now everyone will have to play carefully to not get beaten
I like the Japanese protrayal of Seto Kaiba and enjoy Erik's voice work for the character. At least in the Japanese version Seto did unstand that mystical things happened and wasn't in denial till the last part of the series.
Holy cards that was intense!! Love this!! These voice actors are legendary. And everyone watching it was just so locked into the duel… man, I just realized duel monsters is like a prolonged chess game but with monsters, spells and trap cards.
I think they’re reading off a Teleprompter since they keep looking at a certain spot. Which is still impressive because they essentially stayed in character for almost an hour!
With how many stumbles were in this reading, I wish they would have briefly gone off script for a moment and said something like; "If you're having trouble reading a simple script Yugi, you don't stand a chance beating me" It's improvised moments that make these live events so much fun. Hopefully in the future they'll have more fun with it

This duel is fantastic, but what’s more fantastic is how the players manage to perfect fit the cards into the card spots on the field. It’s breathtaking how they do it in one shot. Truly a gift.
19:44 I’ve always believed that Yugi actually has two copies of Dark Magician in his deck. That would explain why it always get in his hand during his big duels. That and the Heart of the Cards of course.
At the end of the series it’s revealed that the pharaoh has the ability to quite literally will whatever card he wants to the top of his deck so when he gets pissed or dramatic he bends reality like domino in Deadpool 2. It’s how he was able to do durooo monsta cardo!!! Over and over without even looking. So he’s a cheater

@Casswury they could've included the dialogue for just the new cards like we don't need line for Interplanetary teleporting
I'd love for a line for Magician of Black Illusion, Magician's Rod, Magician's Robe, Sorcerer of Dark Magic and such in Duel Links, it feels really impersonal when Yugi Muto or the Pharaoh don't acknowledge those cards as support for the man himself Dark Magician!

Funny how in Yugioh Kaiba never cheats besides the Card of Demise in this game. Also tbh Kaiba in the anime always played by the rules and never used other fake rules or affects unlike Yugi in basically every duel.......
Face it the reason that Yugi ever made it is by cheating...
Kaiba works hard and plays by the rules to make it to his level.
Yugi cheats and becomes great. Only time that yugi doesnt cheat is in Gen 2 during Kaiba's tournament.

Then again in Kaibas past that rule was ok they even showed that when Bandit Keith had a flash back to when Pegasus used his Millenium Eye to have a kid(aka Sam) beat Bandit Keith..... So technically in the anime the rules like field power bonus that was the only weird rule everything else was like that all along.
Just look at games like Yugioh Sacred Cards for GBA or even older Dark Duel Stories for GBC(gameboy color) a dark monster beats a Light monster and a dream monster beats a dark.
Or like Yugi had with living arrow mixed with mammoth graveyard equals a equipment monster card aka a union monster (even though that specific card has never been made).
(I am partial to it being made and calling it "Mammoth Death Arrow" level 3 zombie union dark type effect monster with 1200 atk and 800 def that reads "While your opponent controls a face-up monster on their side of the field (Quick Effect) equip this to a face-up monster they control and equip it with this card. While a monster is equipped with this card, it loses 500 atk and def points during each of either player's Standby Phase. A monster whose name has Blue-eyes in its card name and/or card text loses 1000 atk and def. When a monster whose atk or def is 0 while equipped with this card, destroy that monster and if you do inflict 500 points of damage to the that players Lifepoints.)

This is the most intense battle I've seen in a very long time both sides bringing each either to the brink and all the special effects and all the times where they go from no monsters to a full field and vice versa.

Wow. Hearing their voices gives me nostalgia. While their is some stuttering, i love how passionate they voiced this scripted duel for the live audience.
It is incredible that Kaiba has survived more turns than any duelist Yugi has fighted. Freaking combined.

I like the Japanese protrayal of Seto Kaiba and enjoy Erik's voice work for the character. At least in the Japanese version Seto did unstand that mystical things happened and wasn't in denial till the last part of the series.
Kiaba's voice actor was incredible! Much confortable than Atem's

Dan Green does more vocal inflections, while Eric Stuart is definitely an actor in both body and voice
Yugi is meant to be a calm and collected person in general while Kaiba is prideful and flamboyant
