I have absolutely been where you are, but on a Chevy. Cutting that exhaust is easy to do, but you need to be really careful about protecting your eyes. All it takes is one little shard of hot metal in your eye to realize that PPE is worth the trouble. That engine in that truck is as good as it gets, so never get rid of it! When the time comes, invest in the rebuild. WAY cheaper AND better than anything newer that has to bow to the EPA.

Most of those exhaust systems are made to work on a short bed or long bed, you just half to cut them,

Take the screw all the way out. Then you take a pry bar or whatever and hit on the clamp till it pops off. Work on 6.7,6.0,7.3 so I’ve done this once or twice, way eaiser haha
