    Another keeper Eric! There are times when I just don't feel like spending a lot of time in the kitchen, especially in the summer, so this is perfect. A quick tip for the viewers: boil the shrimp shells (try saying that fast 3 or 4 times; it's a real tongue twister!) in a bit of water, maybe or maybe not some herbs, and voilà, a quick shrimp stock. Thanks again for another terrific recipe. 😊

      Ah yes that is basically how I made this shrimp stock! I may do a video of it one day as I will be using it soon in another video!

    You need to use tomato paste in the beginning so that it forms a film on the bottom of the pan. That is the Maillard Reaction. It is the natural sugars in a food when it starts to caramelize. Toast also is around due to the Maillard Reaction because all of the natural sugars in the bread come to the top. It is pronounced close to saying my yard. That's what always comes up when I try and voice type it. :-)

  • @elizabethshaw734

    I hate to be chewing on tomato skins!! I am also a weirdo because I don't really love basil. I use a lot of parsley and fresh thyme.

    • @SimplyElegantHomeCooking
      @SimplyElegantHomeCooking  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The skins are very thin on these grape tomatoes. You could definitely sub in some parsley if you don't like basil!

  • @gatemana5

    Do you REALLY believe the dish tastes better by adding cooked pasta to the cooked sauce. Why would it taste better than adding the cooked sauce to the cooked pasta? That baloney looks good on you tube but doesn't really mean a thing!

    • @SimplyElegantHomeCooking
      @SimplyElegantHomeCooking  ปีที่แล้ว

      It makes a difference because it marries the sauce with the pasta when they are together in the same pan over the heat as opposed to spooning sauce over the pasta after removing to a plate.

    • @fctazz
      @fctazz 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Of course it does, it absorbed the sauce way more than just on top.
