    In a society where live to work, most of us have somewhat of a toxic relationship with productivity. You may feel disconnected completely from your 9 to 5, but still having to work until you reach burnout, leaving you with little energy to pursue your passions. Or maybe you just are overwhelmed by everything and don't know where to start in getting on top of your goals. Whatever it is, we have all been there - and unlearning this unhealthy approach to work takes practice & intention. In this vid, I share the rituals & practices that have helped me feel aligned to myself and find my flow while being super productive.

    A friend recommended me 15 minutes of just laying down on my bed with no phone after arriving home from work. I take a very comfortable position, just breathe and listen to some soft ambient. Afterwards, I'm able to get up, make myself a cup of tea and continue with a much lighter and curious energy into my evening.

      This is such a nice idea, I shall use it as well when I get into deep work sessions and afterwards just take a few minutes to rest and do breathwork/mini-meditation. :)

    For working a 10 hour shift, what really puts me in a grounded state is as soon as coming home, I put a candle on in my bathroom, turn of all lights, put on music that is high vibrational and just take a long hot shower. It’s so soothing, and definitely important to me when I need to release the energies I’ve sponged from others and things at work.

    • @HeavenTaylorWynn
      @HeavenTaylorWynn ปีที่แล้ว +1

      what are some high vibrational songs? Can you recommend a playlist?

    • @jayyenormal
      @jayyenormal ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@HeavenTaylorWynn of course! Vibrate higher by londrell, reborn by KIDS SEE GHOSTS, a long walk by Jill Scott, nothing even matters by Lauren hill, Valentina by Dreamer Isioma, let go by Fr33sol, intuition by Fr33sol. I love a lot of Fr33sol music!!! I have a playlist on Spotify as well :)

    So reassuring to see a video where not every second of the day is planned out. Seems like that’s the standard these days, but such an exhausting way of living in the long run (at least for me). Enjoyed seeing a more flexible and intuitive approach that is still productive ✨

    As a recovering workaholic, that tip about using breaks intentionally has been so key for me these past few months. Turns out I was using my “breaks” as an opportunity to answer that email, do that chore, work on another project, etc. No wonder I felt burnt out and depressed!!

  • @littlelizzzard
    @littlelizzzard ปีที่แล้ว +11

    My go to's are;
    1. Choosing 1 of the 3 things I'm passionate about to work on that day - depending on whatever I'm feeling like that day (I'm a person that likes to work on multiple things on different days because I get bored easily doing the same thing every day and this way I cycle trough the things that bring me joy and they never get tiring). I limit it to 3 though (I used to have 5) because I do want to actually progress and not spread myself too thin.
    2. Focusing on creating and learning instead of entertainment and distraction.
    3. Growth mindset → learning to love doing hard things. Finding joy in the action itself
    4. Detached from the reward, focused on the action.
    5. Not multitasking or thinking about other things, but focused, present & in flow with whatever I’m doing.
    And now 6. Be intentional with my breaks (thanks!)
    These things really help me get to the life that I want without it feeling like such a struggle, they really help me reconnect with the passion I have for the action itself without feeling so pressured to achieve :)

    I absolutely agree with honoring yourself, while relaxing! It’s so easy to be tempted to continue checking things off of your list and/or “being productive”-when you have “free time”. It wasn’t really until this year, I realized that literally all I can say is that “I worked” this year. I, and I’m sure many others, want more than that. Thanks girl! Keep doing great things 🤗

    your videos have been in such alignment for me as a person & the place i'm in with my life! Discipline is an active practice & as a Scorpio, my nature is defiant and self-according on top of the fluidity of that water element, but I do best when i am taking action and probably utilizing the fire of my Aries rising to do & ground for productivity.

    First off, we love the silk press 😍next, I'm really going to give cycle syncing a chance (I watched your video on that every time I start my cycle as a reminder!) and make "deep work, deep rest" my mantra for the rest of January! Just as we can get lost in the hours just sitting around numbing or distracting ourselves, I make myself feel guilty trying to demand work constantly throughout each and every day from myself, and I know I'm not getting any further this way.

    Our purpose in this world is to spread the gospel to the end of the earth not figuring out a heathy relationship with work but doing work (spreading the gospel of Jesus) is a factor of the main goal (which is our purpose) to spread the gospel so we can be forgiven so that we can have eternal life in the most heathy environment
