I started my TH-cam channel 3 years ago, and struggled for years to find my footing. This year, I started making changes that has led to the growth of my channel to almost 100k subscribers. In this video, I'm sharing everything I've learned so far about getting subscribers on TH-cam - including things to avoid if you want to grow your channel. I know a lot of you are interested in pursuing TH-cam as a full time career, so I really hope this is helpful!

Which of these is a challenge for you? Learning to not overthink/obsess over my growth was the biggest struggle for me😭
Overthinking is definitely an obstacle for me and creating thumbnails w/ catchy titles

Yesterday was a filming day for me because I was off and I really enjoyed doing it. I see why youtubers become full time. I want to be a full time youtuber and I’m literally acting like one by simply recording myself...it’s so much fun.. I love learning new editing skills. I work at a hospital full time. I know I will miss it but I’m so excited for my new journey 🤍🤍🤍
Filming and learning to edit is so fun. Follow your heart! I plan on doing TH-cam full time as well!

the universe really does work in mysterious ways ㅠㅠ i was just about to have an emotional break down over a video i’ve been trying to create that i am uploading tomorrow and my broll was coming out great but my main footage is not coming out how i want to or how i’m envisioning it. and this, especially the ending is what i needed to watch and hear. thank you! ^^

That is actually a VERY good niche. So many people can totally relate to struggling with anxiety, depression, etc. You should drive a lot of traffic to your channel.

I think my biggest struggle with my channel is consistency. I have a full time job and a lot was going on in my life earlier this year so I felt like I didn’t have time to post as many videos as I wanted to. Definitely going to take your advice! Thank you 🥰

I started my channel a few months ago on my spiritual journey and what i learned through the dark night of the soul. It seems to be doing well and i have 720 subscribers already 😁 I have been nervous to venture away from the spiritual topic because i didnt want to lose any of them, but your videos have reassured me that its probably a good choice and will ultimately help me grow.... im also not (or so i think) a very creative person and so this was stalling me also. but as you say in your video "our subs often watch us for our personalities and not just for our content" and my subs are always telling me how much they can relate to me. For real! I used to be so overwhelmed that other creator are putting out better edited style video and that really pushed me down to not post again! But I just stopped comparing.

another underrated tip that's been working for me gradually is being active in the communities you're interested in/making videos about. when I comment on videos I honestly forget that everyone else can see the reply as well, and has actually led to more people with common interested viewing my channel and subscribing.

Love love love your channel! I totally agree with you about niching down part. I made curly hair videos for the longest and it just wasn't my thing (one curly hair video kind of blew up). I started my channel in 2017 and I haven't been successful because I just hate making hair videos lol. I quit for like two year and now I'm just gonna do what I find has purpose.

When I first started TH-cam i was just having fun and i got upset after year one of not seeing any growth. I would watch my old videos and laugh. I want to start over and really take into account that no one knows who i am and I have to m stay consistent and make ppl want to tune in. I’m definitely an over thinker tho 🤣🤣🤣
