I see what you mean, being okay with who you are right now doesn’t mean you can’t change. It’s about knowing you’re a flawed person and that it is okay to be a flawed person, in this way you don’t criticize and belittle yourself. A lot of the time when it comes to goals, we can be very self critical and sometimes so self critical that it makes us blind to the greatness we already have. It’s about accepting the way you are and sometimes forgiving yourself so you can move into who you want to be with self love instead of self hate❤️

The whole reason why people “people please” is because the respect they receive from other people is their source of their personal validation and self worth. The thing is, the void will never truly be filled by other people, it can only be filled by yourself. You’re going to have to make that mental choice to be a friend to yourself first before anyone else. Because in your entire life it will always be you, and only you. So ultimately, you have no choice but to choose to love that person cuz if you don’t, you’re literally choosing to live an unhappy life. Give that respect to yourself because you deserve it. Not only that, but when you say what you want to say, people actually respect that more, and eventually with time you’ll learn to respect yourself more, ending the cycle of people pleasing.
