Hey BEAT family, people have been asking me this question left and right so I finally decided to do a video on this. I'd love to hear your perspective on this when you get a chance. Thanks and enjoy!
What a beautiful voice you have. I'm careful about gospel songs that sounds like rap music or sounds like heavey metle rock music. I read a blog it was about could worshipping at church pagan could you please do vlog on this
Hello Pastor, I also have a question. I asked many people regarding this, but never get satisfied with their answers. So my question is, should we Christians listen and sing the song "Reckless love" by Bethel Music?
When I used to work in banking, the best way to learn counterfeit currency was by surrounding yourself with the real. The more you handle the real, the easier it is to spot the counterfeit. The same holds true in the spiritual sense. The more you spend time in the Word, in prayer, in the Spirit, the easier it it is to spot the counterfeit.
There are people who cannot tell rather they are surrounded by biblical truth because they started off being surrounded by falsehood and they now believe the falsehood to be true and denounce truth when it is brought to them.
India Williams that is so true!! Well said. I was raised in the occult so when i became a Christian it took me a long time to find it out!! What i thought was truth was not so it brought me back into bondage- thank God he is faithful:)
@@indiawilliams879 hullo there -very true! And here’s another thought...some teachers start off with biblical truth and stray off into wrong teachings - and because the congregation has heard the biblically sound scriptures initially, when the teacher introduces new ideas the people will believe them. ie. “they’ve always taught what the bible says, so what they say now must be true too even if it’s not in the bible”. Many “wolves in sheep’s clothing” start off this way, lulling the people into trusting them. What are your thoughts?
That’s tru and a very good mindset but sometimes we gotta be careful of where were listening those churchs music because in listening to their music, money is sent to the churches
When you purchase their music you are supporting them and in like wise furthering their heretical theology which makes you a part of their ministry and saying yes please take my money so you can spread your heresy. Read Romans 2. Specifically Romans 2:24-32. Verse 32 being the cold water wake up call.
@@MSO-kb6jf I think Allen spoke about this in this video. If ur gonna go thru not wanting to support them becuz u listen to their music then u have to do that with literally everything else. Let us not do the work of the Holy Spirit. If our conscience is affected let's take heed to the Holy Spirit who lives within us. If our conscience isn't affected, let us use decernment and see if the music is theologically and biblically sound.
I get that but we also are praising Him based on the message of what we are listening and singing about....if the message isnt true about who God is, then we would be praising aimlessly, praising a narrative that isnt what God is totally about or His full truth.
You brought up a point my dad always taught me: "I should dive into the Word for myself, so that I can discern the Truth and discard the false." I'm so grateful that you are doing these videos thank you!
Charles Spurgeon: Discernment is NOT knowing the difference between right and wrong. It IS knowing the difference between right and ALMOST right. What a powerful statement!
I am 13! So definitely a young christian. I feel like I was being sucked in. I want to learn and research more. But, I will rely on God and trust that He WILL guide me. 💗 Thank you for this. I need to guard my heart.
Hi Camille! I am a youth leader at my church! I try to instill in the heart of my young people to get to know God personally. That when some one teaches you anything about God, that you go back to your bible and research it. No matter if it’s mom and dad, your pastors, or videos and/or articles from the internet. Many people tend to share what they know about God through traditional knowledge and often what they say sounds good, but it’s not the truth. God bless you as grown in your spiritual journey!
If you leave every sunday service feeling encouraged and motivated but never convicted and hungry to pursue Christ then thats already a sign that it might be another prosperity gospel church.
If you come out of this content deciding whether to listen or not listen to content from these churches, that’s well and good. But if you come out of this with a greater desire to depend more on God’s word and the Holy Spirit for decisions like this, then that’s even better! Thanks for this video, brother!
I'm 14 and definitely a young Christian, but I have a really strong relationship with God. Personally I always ask God before I listen to their songs and I've learned that you can experience spiritual uphoria outside of the holy spirit. Just like how you can experience joy that is outside of the lord. I've found that we very easily can confuse spiritual uphoria with the joy of the holy spirit and it can become hard to decern. Although we innocently sing these songs with good intensions, to me the "safest" option is just to pray about it and ask God for guidance before I listen to their music
Well spoken..the spirit of new age can give false manifestations rather than deeping on feelings and encounters lets depend on faith and the raw truth..for we walk by faith(not in what u see or feel) not by sight
All we gotta do is if those churches are false teachers, we need to 1st recognize them what they do, next, we tell them the truth of the true gospel of Jesus Christ and I've noticed they're preventing it, but they have to show the true gospel and then they'll understand better soon, that's all there is to it.
Meaiban Diengdoh Amen to that the Holy Spirit guidance for all things we don't know. The Holy Spirit let's me feel. Oh the Holy Spirit is a pure blessing I just love this experience the greatest nothing like it. I Praise and Worship God for it.

Dude, you are one of the most biblical, reasonable and coherent bible teachers I have heard in years. I endorse you to my friends and to MY CHILDREN... that's how much I appreciate and trust what THE LORD does through you. Keep it up, you have no idea the great impact you are doing for the kiddom. Greetings, brother Allen Parr
I’m sure no church is perfect; but they dare to actually believe what Jesus said. Did he not say “ The things I do, you will do; and greater than these will you do.” You accuse him of false teaching? He takes a stand on what the Bible says ... not what our own experience or lack of experience suggest. And does the Bible not say of Jesus “ He emptied himself of his divine nature....” You are twisting what Bill Johnson says. He clearly says Jesus was fully God and fully man.... just like you did. I’m pretty sure that gossip and slander are frowned on by God.
Haley Alexis I agree this really is the bigger issue. If we as CHRIST Followers keep slipping and blurring the lines it will make it so much easier for the enemy.
@Verna I agree with you. I honestly believe we must be very careful with what we listen to. People are obsessed with their music. I don't listen to them anymore
And the biggest deception of them all is for Satan to have us believe we’re the only ones who hold “the real truth” while everyone else “is deceived” and is being used as a “tool of the enemy.” (Funny how Satan acknowledges his presence to us only when talking about his influence on other people.) Satan is cunning. He is the AUTHOR of confusion. If we don’t stop and remember we are dealing with the master-est of manipulators here, we’re *intentionally* confused by his tactics. This exercise is *meant* to keep our minds going in circles and away from worshiping God. Have you not heard? Do you not know? The God we serve is the God of the Universe. He created EVERYTHING. ALL power in His hands. He alone is perfect. He alone is spotless. He alone is pure. He knows how to turn songs written by fallen man into shouts of praise worthy of His gloriously holy presence. So much time spent on here tearing down man... such time wasted dissecting the next man’s heart - (which you and I will never know) - while dissecting another man’s breath and his every word. Live in GRACE. Focus on the Father. Focus on His grace. Walk in His love. Walk in His grace. Turn your eyes away from the heart of man, sing praises to the God of all gods, the Lord of all lords and the King of all kings, and with all the breath in you, sing and worship and fix your eyes singly upon Jesus. He turns it all around for His praise.
I've been behind closed doors with Hillsong, Bethel and others in the industry. I would run the other way from these ministries. Don't get caught up in the beauty of the songs. There's a mixture of truth and watered down theology. Be careful. Bethel is diabolically scary!!!!
Thanks for your share. In my personal experience, I wish I grew up hearing more worship songs like Hillsong, Elevation & Bethel because they would have likely kept me away from the filth that is the secular music that shaped & filtered my perspective of life - sad because I turned to secular music because I found church hymns (as touching as lyrics may have been) far too boring for my musical ear, & my creative music loving side needed more diversity. These denominations worship songs have transformed my faith journey ever since I started listening to them, & I believe will continue to transform positively generations to turn towards Jesus as the Holy Spirit outworks through it too.
getting 'emotional' is not the same as being filled with the Holy Spirit. i feel these songs play on and appeal to emotions more than actual sound doctrine. John 4:24 tells us to worship the Lord in spirit and truth. Edit: Hi there, I realize my comment could have come off harsh, I apologize! My comment was not saying that emotions are wrong, God gave us the gift of a beautiful wide range of emotions. My comment was to note that we should not make emotions our god and the determining factor for whether or not what we're doing is considered worship to the Lord. John 4:24 tells us what worship is, simply that it is done in Spirit and Truth 'For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” God bless ♡
But what’s wrong with simply feeling emotional? I think it depends but being emotional doesn’t mean your filled with the Holy Spirit, but I don’t think that’s wrong. If the song is theologically, and biblically sound what’s wrong?
@@jjgems5909 - Nothing is wrong w/ simply feeling emotion sometimes - it's all about balance: a word I never see in these comments hardly ever. These ppl think too much and over-thinking is just as immature and irrational as being overly emotional. Ppl don't know anything about balance and duality. A person's beliefs aren't relevant to their talents or their music anymore than an actor's talent has anything to do w/ their charm but too many ppl, for example, think Sandra Bullock is some great actress too and she doesn't even know how to act! She's only a performer and her charm is what she uses to fill movie seats. Ppl still don't get this. Why must we conflate things that don't go together and also, why must we toss out the baby w/ the bathwater? You eat the meat and spit out the fat! Hello - much of this is just common sense! God gave us all common sense so I say, use it folks! Why must we be so torn over something like this? If the song is just uplifting praise music, what is all this drama about? I listen to this music all the time now and it helps me focus on prayer better and it makes me feel more at peace and more positive. There are only like 2 songs I've run across that I took out of my playlist b/c they sang about 'oneness' in a wrong way that was encouraging Marxism/ tribal thinking. Now, that I WON'T listen to anymore than I'll ever listen again to John Lennon's silly Marxist drivel of 'Imagine'. Christian music is separate from its church's sermons w/ a few exceptions, but the rest of it is just positive and praise-God music. ** Another exception is 'Reckless Love of God' - that song's title alone is just so wrong! God does NOT love us 'recklessly' which is a word that means having little to no responsibility! Ppl are so ignorant these days about language and too often use poor vocab to express what they mean. Their hearts can be in a good place but they are just not articulating the message of their hearts properly and this can be a problem - esp when it may cause other Christians to stumble. We need to be much more responsible w/ our word choices and how we execute them. No - this does not mean I uphold the suppression of the freedom of speech b/c I am a big supporter of the constitution - esp the 1st A, but we still must become better educated about language and grammar, etc b/c we can't understand one another if we can't speak the thoughts we hold inside. Most lyrics are simple and to the point - no misquoted bible scripture, no heresy. I never hear it except once in a blue moon. Ppl are just drama queens and love to make something out of nothing! It's sad we even have to have a video explain this in the first place. Thanks for listening - I must go now and play some Crowder or For King & Country or Lauren Daigle or Toby Mac b/c as one of my fave songs by him says, 'Help is on the way' and 'I've lived enough life to say help is on the way'! LOL...
I so agree. The good many misleading ones almost sound like a song of human romance, you know, man and woman. I believe we must praise Jesus and speak a little less of ourselves. He gets all the glory; we deserve none.
How are you not worshipping in spirit and truth by praising God's name? The Bible also says not to stir up strife amongst your brothers and sisters yet there are so-called Christians who believe you cannot worship God without doing so through traditional hymns as if you can't please God any other way
@@kaitlynkarol4600 If you know what the Holy Spirit is then you're filled with it simply by asking. I listen to all these churches and they help me praise God. People need to stop trying to control other people. That's all it is. Let God control the people
It’s all about a personal relationship with Christ, develop a personal relationship He will lead you into all truth and lift the veil. Mix truth is error and deception, hence JWs and Mormons whom believe Christ is the Savior-the essential-James 4:17. Love, honor, obey and rely on Jesus Christ in everything are the essentials of our faith. Galatians 1:9 John 14:16 Psalms 1:1 Hebrews 12:2 🛡
As a pastor and a musician I am passionate about discernment in worship music. And in warning against heretical teachings. It is impossible to “enjoy” songs from these places without undeniable connections to heretical teaching. I stay away and warn others to do so. On my channel I preach the gospel but I also have a series of “theology checks” where I discuss modern worship songs and their theology.
It’s better to not let the wolf in sheep’s clothing in then to let them in and teach the flock self defense skills. That’s what it comes down to. The American church is WEAK these days. The number of “spiritually mature” Christians dwindles by the day. We are at a point where pastors should be being MORE careful about what is being taught/sung/used in their churches, not less careful, merely because so many Christians are so easily swayed by the world. Instead, pastors think that giving more leeway to the material used in services is somehow more beneficial and “attractive”. Sometimes, as a pastor, you have to make unpopular decisions to protect the flock, even if “Christian” pop culture gives you a lot of pushback. I applaud you, good sir, for your strong stance. More pastors need to be willing to take hard stances on this issue instead of the “I don’t want to deprive you of the 70% good stuff” statement/belief. There is a time and spiritual maturity level where allowing the sheep to “wander” a little bit and dive into more grey areas, but the American church at large doesn’t fit that criteria.
Butchered sentence but I’m going to guess that you meant we’ve “forgotten to worship God”. I think you’re making a generalization but please, elaborate.
As a worship musician, this is always on my heart. There are times when I'm working on a set list and feel sick in my spirit (and stomach), over the controversies surrounding half the songs we play. But ultimately it comes down to this: we are at war. Not with each other, not with weird pastors or flaky songs, "but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."
"we are at war. Not with each other" yes, this is scriptural. But that scriptural war has become a war between members of the body of Christ. Denominations and factions.
@@benniewilliams Research Bethel. Not of God. We need to stand together in faith and warn each other against false profits and teachings of "another Jesus." So many Bible verses in regards to this. Bethel leaders incorporate occult, pagan, Hindi practices, and blasphemed the Holy Spirit. "The war is not against flesh and blood..".."Put on the whole armor of God."
Well, there are some boring worship songs and hymns. They may be scriptural but do not make me feel good. Why can't a song do all, be scriptural sound AND make me feel good AND lead many to Christ?
Dee Lite If it makes you feel good and feel peace and joy and closer to God it doesn’t matter if hillsong or bethel sang it. That’s what I personally think anyway.
Allen, Please consider these questions. This question is primarily concerning their music being played at a church . In the Bible, 26 out of 27 books in the New Testament address false teachers and/or teachings, but it’s ok to play their music at church? The Bible teaches that we are to Mark and avoid false teachers, are we really marking and avoiding them by actually giving them a platform and allowing their music to be played in our churches? Seems we are doing the complete opposite. God bless
@D Yep Jesus said "...when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do." He wouldn't want you to spend an hour repeating "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,....." Why would you do that anyways?
@D No, I can call on Jesus without vainly repeating his name 50 X in a row. I always go to the Lord to give me wisdom and strength to help me avoid temptation

It’s so refreshing to have someone be able to explain things clearly, tactfully, graciously and lovingly. Your research was spot on and your conclusion was Christ-like. We should as believers not be so eager to label each other and dismiss. Not without losing our guard, but trusting that our guard of the Holy Spirit will protect and guide us.
the teaching of Hillsong, Bethel and Furtick is so off base though...there is no reason to tune in or support them. Plenty of solid bible teach churches.
Yes, the Holy Spirit will guide us, but we have the responsibility to know God's word, follow His commandments and live them out. As we walk, we will learn and grow. Hearing truth and ignoring it because you "like" something is dangerous and is a sin, it is following our own fleshly desires, what WE want... Do not be deceived: God is Holy, holy, holy and cannot dwell with sin.

Very well said, I really appreciate all the points that you shared in this video. I find myself nodding throughout the video. Your explanation makes so much sense to me. Thank you!
Growing up my father always stated: “99% truth x 1% lie= 100% lie”. The enemy seduces us with partial truth... that has been his M.O. since the beginning of time.
We need to know God enough to see what is false but than we need to remember our authority in Christ and calling to guide those who are off back into what is right. Allen should send this video to them according to Matthew 18. See what he says at 12:40.
I am a worship leader, and while I'm listening to their new generational songs (Hillsong, Bethel, and Elevation), It feels like they are having a concert rather than worshipping God. That's why I want old hymnal songs or songs lead by Darlene Zchech before in which God centered and you can see and feel the Holy Spirit moving
True, You can feel the anointing in there. This was my million dollar question too when my adulthood meets this generation music. I was asking if am I old already for the taste of music or is it just can't find the anointing in there? I still have no feels and have a spiritual encounter with these songs.
I wish I could come to your church then. I play drums on my worship team and I have been so frustrated and annoyed with it all for the last few years. We had many many many older good songs that they threw away because they think they're too old to do now. I don't agree with that. Even stuff from the early 2000s. So now they always want to learn the hot new top 40 worship performance hit... I feel that alot of that is performance. When I see people wearing hats on stage and snow caps. I've seen leather pants. Inappropriate... I love 90s vineyard.... But they threw all that away. It's a shame..
Idk why, but I feel God when they sing. I literally visualize me singing that to our Lord Jesus at His feet and I start crying. Idk why this is a problem for some??
there was a video on TikTok and this guy was saying how today worship songs are no longer God-centered it's all about "I, I, I, ME, ME, ME, what God can do for me" and I saw that in Waymaker and so other songs.
I used to go to hillsong church. I left there with in a year, the holy spirit was like NOPE get out of there. No bible teaching at all. Just a big social event.
That's so scary, so glad you got out of there. God bless you! Thank you for sharing. I've been wondering if they are a theologically sound group or not
Praying that my son will leave there as well. I always felt that something wasn't right. He always invites me to attend but I just never felt led to attend. I'm pleading the Blood of Jesus over his mind to get out of there. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽💕💕💕
I believe that worship comes from the heart. And when you sing to the Lord and worship Him in Spirit and in truth all else will fall into place. God knows our heart, and He will lead and guide to properly worship Him... Not the people around us, but the Holy Spirit... Thank you for the words. God bless you
Judah Xervio yes God knows our heart and soul and will lead us in Worship. The Holy Spirit wow that is powerful and I love it such a wonderful feeling. I Praise and Worship Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior died on the cross to save us from sin.Amen.
Exactly... and didn’t He say to sing unto Him a new song. Therefore we are not singing what is written but we are also singing the expression of our hearts ♥️ trying to communicate with the God of the universe just how much we Love and adore Him ! We do not have proper words for a Love so deep !!!
Your argumentation is just outstandig! ❤️ It's good that you judge teachings and not whole persons or movements! Knowledge comes step by step. And: Errare humanum est. We are/can be all wrong in one specific part of faith but when we realize we should change it.
Loved the way you explained that you’re not trying to get us to stop listening but trying to educate us on what we are listening to and to be alert and what to be on look out for. Love this video!
As a music leader, we base the music on Acts 17:11. We scrutinize every song and make sure that what we sing is the Word of God. Now, we also filter the music to make sure that God is been praised and worshipped at all times. We are asking God continuously to inspire us in the Scripture, so we can write our own songs.
@@normandy2501 that music is important, but is not for collective or individual worship. There will people that will sing as a way of evangelizing, and that's ok. However, a sound doctrine church will never push a song for worship that uses the human condition as the focus. I've never read that the angels sang about earthly situations. And we are different than angels because we were redeemed. Don't you think that gives us a better reason to worship God for who He is and what He has done?

I’ve been listening to them from the moment I got saved. I have never felt convicted about their music. Even after 12 years of listening to them, I don’t even know any one of the artists names. It’s always been about God. Lyrics would also stand out to me and I doubt the enemy would try to promote lyrics that would draw me closer to God.
You are being drawn closer to God because the Holy Spirit is working in you in spite of them. But truly they worship a different Jesus, those who are mixing New Age mysticism into Christianity. Dangerous territory.
I can guarantee you the enemy uses things that look/appear to be of God, but are just a little bit off, to pull us away. There are PLENTY of song lyrics from Hillsong/Bethel/Elevation that have shaky theology at best or downright wrong theology at worst. It’s those little things that are the “wolf in sheep’s clothing” the Bible talks about that are being used to subtly pull us away.
My mind is spinning. Things are coming to light. I feel like my whole spiritual life has been flipped upside down inside out. Please throw all the scriptures at me.
2 Timothy 3: 1-16 1 But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 6 For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 7 always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. 8 Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; 9 but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was. 10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, love, perseverance, 11 persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra-what persecutions I endured. And out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them, 15 and that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for [c]instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. Let me ask you one question: Does the music of these groups elevate God or draw attention, fame and money to themselves?

As you were talking, I was thinking, "You know, at some point in time, I must have said something that was heresy. I imagine I still do. I would hate for that to discredit all the things that God is doing and using in my life." I'm glad that you touched on this point.
As have I. The difference is repentance. Not continuing to engage in heresy is key. If heresy is a part and parcel of your DNA, there needs to be a change. Scripture says if your eye, hand, or foot deceive you, cut it out, better to enter eternity... Well, you know the rest...
I am 75 years old and been a Christian for the last 39 years. (this time) I grew up as a Christian but the Vietnam War I served in caused me to deny God for almost 20 years. I will never leave Him again and will not turn to false teachers. I do listen to Hillsong music but only from one worship leader. I discovered her last year and have watched her life in music back to 1993. She makes me feel Jesus when she sings. I don't see anything unbiblical in what she sings or writes. I hope she is genuine in what she portrays. The music has helped me a lot to become closer to Jesus. I may disagree with some of the churches statements but I have never been to a church that I agree with totally. Even the Christ centered church I am at now. Recently my atheist son in law has been listening to Joel Osteen. I would rather he didn't as a new Christian but with my wife, daughter and myself to help him with the false teachings of a prosperity gospel he will be ok. Just glad he has his foot in someone's door and will talk about it was a big step. Thanks for your video. I will save it for when he is ready to hear it.
Joel Osteen is a motivational teacher, not a preacher. Everything is all good and positive. Well, as a christian for 45 yrs, true Christianity is not like that. Like the Bible says, Take up your cross and follow Me. That's what Jesus said. If Joel Osteen has such a perfect life, either he's lying, or he's not serving the Lord.
Your Son does NOT have ONE foot in the DOOR if he is Listening to Joel 👹 Olsteen He is the ANTI--CHRIST his god is the DEVIL!!! Not the HOLY GOD of the BIBLE YOU should know This 🙏
For those who don’t think any of this matters because you just “focus on Jesus in your heart” refer to point #5. The Bible speaks often of the dangers of false teaching. You should at least be aware of these concerns so that your spirit absorbs only the truth. Jesus gave us very specific teachings and we can’t allow false teachers dilute His word just because it sounds nice.
Yes but in scripture the false teachers were usually not the ones who walked and ministered in the demonstration of the Spirit and of power, in fact Paul ministered this way. The False teachers were the Gnostics, the Judaizers and the like, the people who either wanted to bring believers back under old covenant law or who wanted to create some kind of weird spiritual reality where natural matter was evil and the spiritual was all that was good. I am not saying that there are not other kinds of false teachings out there today but in Paul's day these were the main ones.
@@darrenwithers3628 Excellent question Darren, scripture says that "thy Word is truth" and this is "the Words that I speak to you, they are Spirit and they are truth. So if you are accepting a gospel that does not include signs, wonders and miracles then one of two things. You are not receiving all of the gospel or you are receiving a different gospel than Paul preached. Yes focus on the giver but Paul also said to ernestly desire spiritual gifts. Don't throw something out just because you have no understanding of it. To do so influences other believers to do the same. Which is what is going on here actually.
@@zwyt1 I'm sorry, but why do you think that when Jesus was telling the apostles what they should do he was talking to us? What folk call spiritual gifts now is a complete sham.
I just watched videos on TH-cam about all this . Frankly, I just can't keep up ! I know in my heart there's been a reason for my lack of commitment to these three. I felt the self centered attitude. , not wanting to go to Bethel like the crowd . My search was not for gold , power or fame. But, being a sinner I found just what I needed . A Bible that has love. I have faith and I"m trusting what I read ,hear , see and feel . It led me here . Thank you Pastor . Be Blessed with your humbling experiences and knowledge you share with us all .I am so deeply grateful to you. ...🕯
For me personally I love the music, not every song catches me but they have some wonderful Worship songs which actually ministers...to each his own, work out your own salvation
I use to listen to bethel, elevation and hillsong and recently the lord opened my eyes. There’s actually new age occult happening in those churches. Pray and ask God for discernment.
I use to consistently put these 3 ministries as a playlist, after 6 years going to mega church my life was beginning to shift, I had depression and anxiety during that last year before leaving. I go to a different church and they do play some Bethel, hill song and elevation songs, my consciousness warns me when not to sing along, I’m now very guarded when it comes to worship music, I listen very clear if it’s fine or not. That’s the only time o hear there music after that I really don’t personally play them when I’m driving, at home etc.
I've known about the Kundalini Spirit thing going on in those churches for a while now, so I'm glad to know that not only is this video out there now, the Lord is also finally letting people know that this sort of thing is actually going on in what are to many people "Christian" churches! A lot of people still unfortunately don't want to believe it because they can't seem to realize that something that they think is Christian could possibly have anything Occult attached to it, but unfortunately, it does! I pray that the Lord will use this video, as well as your comment, to help more people realize what's actually going on! This is also why in my opinion, Christians should stay FAR AWAY from yoga, because that deals with a lot of the same stuff we're dealing with in places like Bethel, Elevation, and Hillsong!
I love the song: O Come to the Alter, by Elevation. I believe that it is more important to listen to the lyrics, than to judge a song by who sings it. A lot of Christian Artists sing the same songs.
When I realize an entity incorporates false teaching, such as Joel Osteen, I recall the question "how much arsenic does it take to poison a loaf a bread?" If you are really seeking the truth why would you spend valuable time with something you know is not biblical? 2 Peter 2
My best experience of worship music was in a very small church, no one could play an instrument. We had one good man singer and one woman. They would tap there foot to sinc us and we’d open the hymnals and yell out a song # that was on their heart to sing. The two or one good singers kept us in tune. Our hearts where so full. We truly worshiped. Remove the fluff and you get the genuine.❤️
We’ve been to a similar service like you’re describing. Literally just lifting up voices to sing the hymns. It was the most simple service and yet we have never felt more filled. There is something beautiful about congregational singing without any distractions.
Using musical instruments is not a bad thing, and doesn't prevent the Holy Spirit from being active. Remember King David, he invented numerous instruments and played them all.
@@SlayingSinNo one said otherwise. There seems to be an overemphasis on the perfect sound, the biggest soundstage and light shows, which I think totally misses the mark. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, but it took center in too many churches I've seen.
Wow. What a great video! I never even considered any of this to be honest. As I build my relationship with God, being given information on what to look out for is SUCH a blessing. For me, It’s the best way to prevent back sliding
@@mac4039 Talking about religion or about the ones who do not have any religion is always a contradictory situation, like a lot of things nowadays. I like songs that can praise God and we can use them as we want to, everybody has a soul and if some are doing wrong, they will have to deal with that, we are not God to decide what to do, judge or say. We just nicely have to tell people in conversations, not to idolize anybody but God. I'm not a pastor, a famous person or somebody people are following, but if somebody asks me what makes me happy, is there, when I can share my positive praises to God. Sharing a good example is better than judging, and as I said, everybody has to make a living, you are making one selling and with your views and comments, and that's your own decision, that also applies to the people you are against. If you can contact the churches you mentioned, talk to them, it's better than trashing them, that is where you are doing your job as a religious man trying to fix what you think is wrong. God bless 🙂
Loved your intro!!! As a retired English teacher, we stress an engaging opening!!! Praying God continues to bless your efforts to teach His Holy Word!!! Thanks so much for all you do for God’s kingdom!
I listen to a song called “man of sorrows” by Hillsong - it is one of the best songs I’ve heard and edifies me so much - theologically accurate - but I don’t listen to their sermons.
Brother... I'm a mixing engineer, I've worked with some of these organizations. I 100 percent validate you brother, from the impact in the family to misguided theology. Thank you so much for being the light confirmation!
I like that when you share thoughts of other Christian ministers you do not condemn them... This has impacted the way I understand what is most important to focus on. The main point is to preach Jesus and point others to follow Him.
@@thebeatagp I put up a nice reply that I think that you might enjoy reading, but the fact that you correct but don't condemn but rather correct others when they are wrong, of which I'm sure that you have made the odd mistake here and there, as have I is another reason why I like your channel.
I want to know, between the word of God and theology, what is more ancient? What came first? Before the judgement is laid, hopefully the understanding is filled up with the light of God through the Holy Spirit!?
1 John 4:1-6. Test EVERY spirit. Whether you’re listening to your favorite preacher or someone you think is a false teacher. Allow the Holy Spirit you lead and guide you in all truth. Also Jesus says that true worshippers will worship Him in spirit and truth. If the song is theologically accurate and it Glorifies the Lord i don’t care who wrote it.
@@matasaina2011 Hello. That is okay. I hope they mean it, and that it is the Jesus of The Bible. I pray that the pastors stop the false Gospel. It will lead many people to hell, those who do not understand the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.
But he will never proclaim Jesus as saviour and Lord like all these Christians do, so don’t be like the Pharisees who accounted to the devil what Jesus himself did. Seek God and not other people’s opinions on such matters, otherwise we are all prone to become self-righteous Pharisees and a brood of vipers! Yes, test the spirit, but by the Holy Spirit and Scripture, not your own opinion. There is great warning in the Bible about those who blaspheme the Holy Spirit, like the Pharisees did. Make sure you are not accounting to the devil what the Holy Spirit is actually doing. Before we tear down brothers and sisters in Christ we need to fall on our knees before God and seek His opinion. The fruits are the true test and thousands have truly come to Christ through these ministries. They are also involved in many ministries ‘on the steeets’ getting their hands dirty and loving the marginalised - something not many of their critics acknowledge or are even aware of, because they quietly get on with it! Let God be the judge of the heart.
Yes. One can also use this on anything good happy and enjoyable. Its miserable. Good to know though. Gleem what good you can from things thank God for it and let him take care of the rest. The same way when I give money to a homeless person he can use it for bad but my intentions were good.
@@gilwil You may want to check Acts 16:16-18. Even though the demon was speaking a truth statement, Paul shut the demon down. The source matters. If it didn't, then there would be an appearance of there being an alliance between those sent by God and those sent by the devil. If Paul and Silas had given approval to demons revealing the truth, they could have used that approval to gain credence when telling lies. (This is the point). The same would be true if we give approval to worship music songs espousing truth in the lyrics but the source of that “truth” is a seducing spirit. Therefore, believers would be led astray by way of seducing spirits. (This would be the result). We see this point being made today; and, we see the results happening all around us as our youth are drawn away by seducing spirits to “churches” NOT built on the solid foundational teachings of Christ and His Salvation of Grace through Faith.
Idk but, when I am at the merge of commiting suicide, I listen elevation preachings and songs then I become more overwhelm in my life. It makes my life change, and the change that I am saying is "changing for the best." making me love the life to the fullest with God.

Remember that He decided which time and place He puts you in life and it is not your position to decide otherwise on your own about whether you stay bodily in this flesh. But may the resurrected Christ live in you and walk with you so that through the valley of the shadows of death you pass, and only as a passerby, and then you overcome with an overwhelming source of His life in you. May the Almighty God bless you.
This was definitely an interesting perspective I needed to hear. My church plays a lot of songs by these three churches. Some of them have brought me to tears every time the band plays them so seeing videos about these three churches and avoiding their music really shocked me. You put it into words nicely and I like what you said about the individual artists vs the church itself. I think for the purpose of my own Spotify I’ll look to see if the individual artist has the song on their personal page rather than listening directly from the churches pages.
We need to remember Ephesians 5:19 - “Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord,” Ephesians 5:18-19 NIV It boils down to the heart. God is a God of order, YES, but He also will not be out in a box by His people or any other! He does work in mysterious ways, even still today!
Amen! Yes. Jesus looks at the Heart. Nothing else matters, Jesus looks in your heart. You praise and worship Him, because He is the most High and He's been Good all the time🥺
If the Holy Spirit convicts you that singing their song is wrong then don't sing it, but when you feel God on that song then sing it. Let us not stop the person from singing a song dedicated to God

I initially thought the were uplifting but started to realized something really creepy and fishy about them..I thi k they are pulling the wool and many are being deceived like I was.
Brother Allen, I appreciate these sobriety tests you're giving to the Body. We have to be sober-minded, and I am all for it. Thank you for putting things out there and not trying to think for somebody else. Good stuff. May our Lord continue to bless you and your family.
My ex wife was/is with Hillsong, they brain washed her into leaving me, by repeatedly telling her that if she had a child with me it would be demon posessed and need a wheelchair, like me! I had an aquired brain injury in my late teens that put me in the wheelchair, no genetics involved! She left me before it was called Hillsong, it was called "Hills Christian Life" Church. They chose to change the name after the head pastor was convicted of adultery & paedophilia! After she left me I quickly found Jesus after a long wrestle with depression over her walking out. I now attend St. Andrews Cathedral in Sydney Australia. Bless you brother, you have a great deal of insight.

Hi brother Allen. I am gonna be truthful to say that I was not comfortable throughout this video. Before I became Born Again, not only was I an unbeliever but I openly expressed hate and disregard to God, at some point I called myself an atheist. But throughout my unbelief I LOVED Hillsong music. And not only the music, BUT I LOVED to listen to Brian Houston's teachings. Never was I convicted to repent and believe on God. Though I would listen to the music, never have I felt any conviction to submit to God. I remember when I was opening my heart to know God I started to pay more attention to the teachings of Brian Houston and at one point I remember this fondly he said even unbelievers, many of them important people listen to me and have come to me and said they love my preaching and are very motivated by it. That is just my back story with Hillsong. After being Born Again, I have come to denounce and shun not only their teachings but have also stopped listening to their music. It has been by the Grace of God through the help of the teachings of Justin Peters, Spencer Smith and others... I am afraid you are afraid to name names. Well, you do that but I am disappointed of you not calling a heretic a heretic, or a false teacher, a false teacher. That will not do much good for especially new believers. The Bible says there is none good, no, not one. There are kind and loving unbelievers, but are they good? No. Sometimes they are nicer than some Christians. 😅😅 There are a bunch of false teachers, who sometimes teach biblically sound doctrine... Is that good? No. Because they are still false teachers!! Of cause many people are saved through Bethel, Hillsong, or Elevation, probably more than some doctrinally sound churches. BUT it was not Bethel or Hillsong that saved them, but GOD!! There are many that are saved through your ministry, or John MacArthur's, John Piper's, or Voddie Baucham's... It is God who works our salvation and we give glory to Him for that. What is our duty? We keep sound doctrine. We teach sound doctrine. We praise God that people are saved through Bethel, Hillsong and Elevation. BUT we shun these churches for they teach heresy!! And we tell people that they should not in anyway make any fellowship with them if we truly believe that they teach heresy. I hope this is a good example: In Genesis 50:20 Joseph says to his brothers, "ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good," It is evil what these false teachers do. But glory to God that God not only can but does use it for good to save many. BUT we need not to be indifferent and say you may listen to Joel Osteen because there could be some blessing you receive from his teachings... That is a step away from saying you can read the Quran, there are some good things in there, you can listen to Buddha, he taught some very helpful things. As I was writing this. I was become more afraid that you could go there. Please don't be indifferent of false teachers. The church needs people who will boldly stand for truth and point out false teachers. Thank you and God bless you for your ministry as I have greatly blessed by it. 🙏🙏
@ Legoabe Koketjo.....Is there a church that teaches 100% sound doctrine? Are you saying the preachers you have named have really grasped the Infinite God and they teach Him 100% spot on every meeting?
@@tetelestai860 That depends on what you mean by "sound doctrine". If you mean topics like how to take communion or how to baptize a person (sprinkle or submersion?), or predestination in relationship to free will, you can say that many churches have differing points of view. That's ok because those topics don't threaten or challenge a person's salvation. But Bethel church teaches that Jesus heals as a man in right relationship with God the Father, not as God Himself. That's unbiblical and promotes their false teaching that man's "ability" to heal on command is somehow relevant to every person. To be clear, the gift of healing isn't given to everyone. The purpose of everyone having different gifts from the Holy Spirit is to work together as the body of Christ. We all need each other. "Deal-breaker" doctrines like the divinity and lordship of Jesus Christ can't be ignored and any person who preaches otherwise is a heretic (by definition). I can't speak for Legoabe, but I think you might be misunderstanding him. I think what he's trying to say is that we should call out false teachers who are preaching a different Jesus (that isn't biblically supported). We need to be bold, so long as we are speaking truth from the Bible. And I think his delivery was very respectful and considerate of Allen Parr. Allen is also very respectful and tactful in his delivery in the video, but I do think that he treaded a little too carefully when it came to the opportunity to call out these false teachers. By suggesting that you should feel free to listen to false teachers who preach a different Jesus or don't deliver the Gospel at all (ie. Joel Osteen) just because most of their message is biblical in some way, is technically suggesting that it's ok to listen to false teachers. Does that sound right to you? Not to me. This is something we all need to take to the Lord in prayer. For the record, I don't think Allen is trying to lead people astray, either.
Allen, I really appreciate this approach: Teach people what the genuine things are and they’ll be able to discern or sift out the good from the bad. Thanks for that Bro 🙏🏾
When you started talking about new Christians being lured into those false teachings it reminded me of the sirens drawing ships and their passengers to their deaths. Satan is a master manipulator that uses music to lead people to Hell so this makes perfect sense to not be a part of it.
Blake Holder one size wont fits all. If you are learned in the bible and the Spirit is in you will discern truth from false. NAR is just a branding of those conservatives who didn’t experience the supernatural. As Paul said “having the form of godlines but denying the power of God. Supernatural is the Spirit of God is which is hostile to our natural mind. There maybe false but there are geuine ones.
I will never sing any song that came out of a church that was concealing Child abuse and sexual assault. Absolutely not. And I don’t think God minds that I find ANOTHER song to use as worship. There are other ways to worship God that he finds holy and pleasing. I will not be pressured by this movement to worship in only way.

That comment you made on wine, I made the connection in 1 Cor. 8, that if a brother or sister in Christ isn't as mature as we are, then we should help them by avoid areas that could be a stumbling block for them. That's what I understand and I do not fit the title as mature =Christian, these worship videos have been good to hear and I have felt encouraged.

Hey Brother, I enjoyed this video. As a worship leader, I am very cautious about using these songs, to the point of changing lyrics when necessary. That said, I strongly warn people from the theology of the source churches. Further, I use the songs as discernment exercises for newer believers. Keep up the good work!
This is the reason why we need to have a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will lead us to the truth and nothing but the truth. I also believe that God looks at our hearts. Even if we sing hyms loudly and properly yet our hearts are not with God, aren't we like those Pharisees and Saducees in the old times? For they follow God yet their hearts are not with Him. Our God has a grace and love that is bigger than how we can ever imagine! Every effort that we do, even if it is the smallest, if we do it for God and for His glory, i dont believe that He will not appreciate it. So let us love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our mind, with all our soul. And let us love our neighbors as ourselves, on these commandments hang the law and the prophets. Let God be God! And let us be us. Our job is not to judge people, but to love them 💗
❤️ End of Day and beginning of every morning I wake up, I serve Christ first. Although I struggle, He is the only way and truth I will follow. He helps me discern what is needed for me to grow in faith how He wants, and I pray for humility and strength through Christ’s name and the Spirit’s ways to follow. He knows where my heart and mind lies with Him, and it is nothing but love and respect for my Lord and Savior. Music is a blessed gift from our Father, but even better than this is the Giver-God.
i used to as well but the thing is they get funding through royalties when people listen to their music and sing it in churches so in a sense you are funding false teaching by promoting their music through singing/streaming. it is hard to realize even for me i liked some of their songs but i don’t want to continue giving them the power and recognition when their teaching could hurt the Gospel and turn people away from Christ and the true Gospel. might be worth looking into now that you know, also some of the songs i used to like i revisited the lyrics and they were just.. weirdly wrong ..
Leah Young I think they are misguided. I believe they are looking to when in scripture there was a battle and a soldier died and was placed in the tomb of Elisha and when placed just happened to touch against Elishas bones and came back to life because of the power still carried even after death. I think they think they will get the person’s anointing. Witchcraft? Probably not. Foolishness most definitely. God is perfectly capable of giving you whatever anointing her chooses you don’t have to do anything but be a yielded vessel! Study to show yourself approved, worship in spirit and truth and yield to Holy Spirit.

I researched it a little bit and the only thing that I really found was that a group of students did it. Student's depending on age and maturity may do a lot of things. I used to have a Christian friend who was a few years younger than me and our church had a gravel parking lot, when most of the cars were gone after church sometimes he would do doughnuts in the gravel of the church parking lot. Just a kid thing, he didn't go out and establish a teaching saying that is what gravel church parking lots were for.
@@tcorbett72 Gee good. They don't prove anything though. I don't know much about grave soaking okay. Really what I have heard here but over my 30 years as a believer I have seen Christians go through some fads that have left me scratching my head, and quite honestly because someone goes to a grave and tries to soak up a left behind anointing or mantle is really not much stranger than the guys who used to try to get helecoptors to do spiritual warfare from so they would be closer to the principalities in the heavenly realm. I think I know the ministry of Bill Johnson well enough to know that he doesn't teach this kind of stuff. I could really care less about pictures of grave soaking. It’s a crazy time we’re living now, everything is tweaked, changed and watered down. But we never know. But I believe the spirit within us as Christian is greater than any other spirit. Hi Pastor Allen, thank you again for this topic😇😇😇
Hello Pastor, I also have a question. I asked many people regarding this, but never get satisfied with their answers. So my question is, should we Christians listen and sing the song "Reckless love" by Bethel Music?
music I would recommend everyone to listen too are river and robot, lucy grimble, jonathan ogden and benjamin james.
Youngman what does Jesus mean when he says greater things that I do than you can do, if only you believe and have faith.
Great analogy!
India Williams that is so true!! Well said. I was raised in the occult so when i became a Christian it took me a long time to find it out!! What i thought was truth was not so it brought me back into bondage- thank God he is faithful:)
Such a great analogy
@@indiawilliams879 hullo there -very true! And here’s another thought...some teachers start off with biblical truth and stray off into wrong teachings - and because the congregation has heard the biblically sound scriptures initially, when the teacher introduces new ideas the people will believe them. ie. “they’ve always taught what the bible says, so what they say now must be true too even if it’s not in the bible”. Many “wolves in sheep’s clothing” start off this way, lulling the people into trusting them. What are your thoughts?
When I listen to music. I am praising Him. Not the one who wrote the song.
That’s tru and a very good mindset but sometimes we gotta be careful of where were listening those churchs music because in listening to their music, money is sent to the churches
u nailed it!
Just read the bible ya'll...so many things can be avoided if we just stick to scripture.

If you leave every sunday service feeling encouraged and motivated but never convicted and hungry to pursue Christ then thats already a sign that it might be another prosperity gospel church.

Where do you disagree? What verse?
If you come out of this content deciding whether to listen or not listen to content from these churches, that’s well and good. But if you come out of this with a greater desire to depend more on God’s word and the Holy Spirit for decisions like this, then that’s even better! Thanks for this video, brother!
One could argue those things go hand-in-hand

Be blessed.
I agree mostly I’m also a young christian. I think that most of elevation music is pretty good but I tend to stay away from bethel and hill song

You are spiritually mature at such a young age. I support your comment.
We need the Holy Spirit's guidance for all these....
All we gotta do is if those churches are false teachers, we need to 1st recognize them what they do, next, we tell them the truth of the true gospel of Jesus Christ and I've noticed they're preventing it, but they have to show the true gospel and then they'll understand better soon, that's all there is to it.

Such a dramatic opening!🤣
Lol right? I was singing with him
I’m sure no church is perfect; but they dare to actually believe what Jesus said. Did he not say “ The things I do, you will do; and greater than these will you do.”
You accuse him of false teaching? He takes a stand on what the Bible says ... not what our own experience or lack of experience suggest.
And does the Bible not say of Jesus “ He emptied himself of his divine nature....”
You are twisting what Bill Johnson says. He clearly says Jesus was fully God and fully man.... just like you did. I’m pretty sure that gossip and slander are frowned on by God.

So many deceptions in these end times we have to be so aware and mindful of everything we watch and hear. EVEN when it seems harmless and convincing.
Haley Alexis I agree this really is the bigger issue. If we as CHRIST Followers keep slipping and blurring the lines it will make it so much easier for the enemy.
If it wasn't for this lockdown then I wouldn't of known as much as I know now, here in South Africa people are obsessed with that music
@Verna I agree with you. I honestly believe we must be very careful with what we listen to. People are obsessed with their music. I don't listen to them anymore
So true, Alexis and why it's so important to stay in The Word; OT & NT. It's the only anchor to the truth we have.
And the biggest deception of them all is for Satan to have us believe we’re the only ones who hold “the real truth” while everyone else “is deceived” and is being used as a “tool of the enemy.” (Funny how Satan acknowledges his presence to us only when talking about his influence on other people.)
Satan is cunning.
I’ll leave it to the Holy Spirit to guide me on this topic.

Edit:
Hi there, I realize my comment could have come off harsh, I apologize!

Somewhere along the line we’ve forgotten worship in for God, not us.
Too much performance in church now days..

How are you 💙

Wow, Powerful comment.
"we are at war. Not with each other" yes, this is scriptural. But that scriptural war has become a war between members of the body of Christ. Denominations and factions.
@@benniewilliams Research Bethel. Not of God. We need to stand together in faith and warn each other against false profits and teachings of "another Jesus."
So many Bible verses in regards to this. Bethel leaders incorporate occult, pagan, Hindi practices, and blasphemed the Holy Spirit.
"The war is not against flesh and blood..".."Put on the whole armor of God."
What makes worship music "good", isn't necessarily how it makes you feel, it's that it proclaims the what the Bible says, and who Jesus is.
Indeed so. The message in the music also needs to be biblically accurate. I am not addressing the music it’s self.
Yep. There’s no point in me worshiping with music He does not approve of
Great point.
God bless
Personally I take it song by song. I always analyze the lyrics of every song I listen to or perform to make sure it’s theologically sound
It's really not that hard to discern whether music glorifies the Lord or not. If it involves chanting then I get concerned
This is wise
I agree.
I hope we agree that our Lord, Jesus, was both 100% Man and 100% God.

Because of Bill Johnson's kenosis heresy they have made a god of their own making and they practice witchcraft in the name of Jesus
Idk why, but I feel God when they sing. I literally visualize me singing that to our Lord Jesus at His feet and I start crying. Idk why this is a problem for some??

As a music leader, we base the music on Acts 17:11. We scrutinize every song and make sure that what we sing is the Word of God. Now, we also filter the music to make sure that God is been praised and worshipped at all times. We are asking God continuously to inspire us in the Scripture, so we can write our own songs.

@@normandy2501 that music is important, but is not for collective or individual worship. There will people that will sing as a way of evangelizing, and that's ok. However, a sound doctrine church will never push a song for worship that uses the human condition as the focus.

Is this hillsong singer Brooke Ligertwood? I really love her songs very much!❤

And what is truth? Your personal interpretation of the bible?
And why do miracles always happen at the meetings you never attended? They are always somewhere else.

I use to listen to bethel, elevation and hillsong and recently the lord opened my eyes. There’s actually new age occult happening in those churches. Pray and ask God for discernment.
Same. I used to love Elevation worship. Now I can’t listen to any of it
Yup. Spot on. Thank the Lord that he removed the veil!!
It’s pretty scary. My conscience doesn’t allow me to listen to any of them. My stomach turns when thinking about those “churches”
I don’t care for that song at all. There are so many hymns that are better for alter calls in my opinion.

That’s great and all but that doesn’t mean having a full band is bad
@@SlayingSinNo one said otherwise. There seems to be an overemphasis on the perfect sound, the biggest soundstage and light shows, which I think totally misses the mark. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, but it took center in too many churches I've seen.

There are a bunch of false teachers, who sometimes teach biblically sound doctrine...
I hope this is a good example: In Genesis 50:20 Joseph says to his brothers, "ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good,"
It is evil what these false teachers do.

@Legoabe Koketjo You are right on. Very well said and I completely agree. You spoke the truth in love. God bless you.
100% agree with your comment brother- well put and said in love.
Thank you, Sabelo!
When you started talking about new Christians being lured into those false teachings it reminded me of the sirens drawing ships and their passengers to their deaths. Satan is a master manipulator that uses music to lead people to Hell so this makes perfect sense to not be a part of it.

What a powerful name it is
The name of Jesus Christ my King...
What a powerful name it is
Nothing compares to this
What a powerful name it is
The name of Jesus”
From What a Beautiful Name It Is.
Yes,a perfect song my dear 🍒
Love these words
I still love Hillsong & Elevation, we singing n worshipping God, not them who sing it
The songs glorify his name
What about "You didn't want heaven without us, so Jesus you brought heaven down" that's a questionable lyric
I was born with a congenital heart condition and I thank God that he has let me live this long. I should not be alive much less have kids and grandkids, but it has been through the knowledge of dr’s and most importantly God guiding them. We have an awesome God!!!

although we in this pandemic, God's still opening doors , doing impossible, healing , doin breakthroughs... how great is our GOD 👑👐
Amen. How great indeed is The Most High.
Great and powerful he is!! ❤️
@@vanessalitton7795 Amen my sister in Christ🙏🏾
Amen! He delivered me from my sins! I was deep in new age teachings, bisexuality and porn and He saved me! Going 1 month strong, I don't think I've ever been this free. Please pray for me my brothers/sisters to continue in His Word.
Amen! How great is our God.
I don’t know the names of the groups or artist. I just listen to Christian radio. I need to start paying attention to who I’m listening to.
The Christian radio plays a lot of elevation, bethel, and hillsong. At least the one I sometimes listen to 😕
Be careful with Christian radio. They’re aoooo worldly it’s not even funny. Just pray and ask God for discernment. Blessings
Same here. Need to pay attention also.
Who you are listening to doesn't count, it's the word of God and his worship that counts, because all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Ok
Who you are listening to DOES count, you have to.protect your ear gates. Music effects your spirit.
Jesus gave us the gift of discernment, read the lyrics and ask yourself: "does this music make me stumble?"
Amen I agree!
I never heard of a gift of discernement
@@wmoore004 hahaha. OK

I hope we trying the spirit of every song and not just songs from certain ministries.
This has got to be one of the best, most balanced and informative, videos on the topic I've ever seen
We are to judge rightcheously because we do love them and not to lead them astray.
This is probably the best breakdown I've heard regarding these 3 groups. Great video.
Haha - loved the open, Allen! At 15:12 you made an amazing point: "I refuse... to be the Holy Spirit in your life..." Amen.
I just listen to their music because it uplifts my soul, never have thought of looking into what church they went to or what they taught.
Exactly
I couldn't Agree more!
Your soul is absorbing that.
i used to as well but the thing is they get funding through royalties when people listen to their music and sing it in churches so in a sense you are funding false teaching by promoting their music through singing/streaming. it is hard to realize even for me i liked some of their songs but i don’t want to continue giving them the power and recognition when their teaching could hurt the Gospel and turn people away from Christ and the true Gospel. might be worth looking into now that you know, also some of the songs i used to like i revisited the lyrics and they were just.. weirdly wrong ..
@@kelliintexas3575 That's sounds stupid
That grave soaking stuff is literal witchcraft
Leah Young I think they are misguided. I believe they are looking to when in scripture there was a battle and a soldier died and was placed in the tomb of Elisha and when placed just happened to touch against Elishas bones and came back to life because of the power still carried even after death. I think they think they will get the person’s anointing. Witchcraft? Probably not. Foolishness most definitely. God is perfectly capable of giving you whatever anointing her chooses you don’t have to do anything but be a yielded vessel! Study to show yourself approved, worship in spirit and truth and yield to Holy Spirit.

It’s not taught... I think it happend when I was out there...
Possibly someOne from bethel or students or maybe some attendees.. only heard it in a rumor and we all talked about it and wondered who... first response is well did something happen and never heard a testimony or anything happening so no one I knew was interested in trying it and kinda dismissed it...
It was weird...
Maybe someone will try it
I didn’t feel any leading for it...
Curious about what actually happens but just went back to the fascinating beauty of Jesus ha!
@@zwyt1 There are pictures of Bill Johnson's wife doing it.
No matter who is doing it though I may look a little further into it especially if you want to lay down some links.
It’s a crazy time we’re living now, everything is tweaked, changed and watered down. But we never know. But I believe the spirit within us as Christian is greater than any other spirit. I’m very interested in the lyrics of the music I’m listening too. Having the mindset of praise and worship is very important.
