Hi. Remember that a person can lead a 'Christian' life and still not make it to heaven. Salvation is to know the Lord: nothing more and nothing less. Jesus said, "This is eternal life, that you know God and Jesus Christ Whom He has sent." Conversely, to those condemned the Lord will says, "Depart from Me; I never knew you." Moreover, referring to the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Me will have rivers of living water bubbling up inside them into eternal life." Conversely, if a person does not have that river of living water, neither do they believe in Christ into salvation!
The question is, do you know the Lord? Do you have that river of life? Are you seated in the heavenlies with Christ or will He say, "Depart, I never knew you"? Remember the words of Christ, "My Father will give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him." Ask and you shall receive! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Yes!! I used to go to the potters house and I never heard the gospel. I thought I was saved, I was baptized after all… but I was still living in sin. I would go and get some motivational preaching about “the plans God has for you” but nothing about repentance.
The head pastor was exposed for having an affair and I left the church. I felt deceived because he was so charismatic and seemed to know the word but wasn’t living it.
But by Gods grace He has opened my eyes to the true gospel. It was hard coming to the realization of how wretched I am but I thank God for His love, grace and mercy!
People don’t need to be told that God loves them, most know this and still sin. They need to know that Gods wrath is stored up for the unrighteousness and if they don’t turn away from their sins, they’ll face this wrath.

I'm 39. I was a "Christian" for 30 years. I spoke in tongues, had visions, got slain in the spirit on multiple occasions, attended services week in and week out, got baptised...I didn't get truly saved until 2020 when I heard Paul Washer preach.
I got convicted so hard and so fast it felt like an anvil dropping on me, crushing me, threatening to destroy me...and then just as fast, the beautiful release of truly realising what Jesus Christ has done for me, undeserving as I am, to save me from the righteous anger of a holy God, against whom I have sinned grievously.
My life has changed. I have changed. I am no longer worried I'm not saved or that I haven't prayed the right special prayer to get me into heaven. Christ has truly freed me, saved me from an eternity in hell that I truly deserve, and clothed me in His righteousness.
All throughout my 3 decades thinking I was saved, God has been unbelievably faithful to me, providing for me, taking care of me, leading me to that particular moment when I experienced true repentance for the first time. I don't know why. But I am so glad

There was So many times people tried sharing the gospel with me and I rejected them time and time again, I had so much anger, so much darkness within me, I was a slave to the enemy and I didn't even know it, I thought I was living "free".... Long story short , it took me to be at my Lowest when I was more suicidal then ever before, I was crying out to my dad on the phone and he begged me to pray, I was angry at his response and hung up....moments letter I fell to my knees and was So desperate and cried out to God.....not even knowing if I was being heard or not.....SO much poured out of my spirit, I don't even remember half of what I said....all I know is after that moment, something hit me, I felt something I never felt before....I was Never the same again, I felt God....I didn't even know what that meant, but now I know it was fully God, I felt a sense of peace and like I wasn't alone ... I felt in my heart that God was really true....he was really....Real....I couldn't explain it, but from that day forward I have Never been the same, over time I gave up all of my addictions and repented for all of my ways ... I now have been completely sober for 3 years and stopped doing / watching porn for over 5....God IS TRUE he IS, the GOD OF MIRACLES!!!!!!!!! It was around February 2020. Thank the Lord He gave me a second chance. Head knowledge became heart knowledge. And thank you, Ray, for being sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading. (Edit for clarification: back in the day the teaching was to “pray the sinner’s prayer and all would be well with one’s soul” which isn’t necessarily wrong if repentance is also taught, TRUE repentance. Not playing the hypocrite and trampling the cross of Christ by flaunting sin as if it was just a blip on the screen but rather the exact thing that Ray preaches, repentance and trust in Christ.)

Leaving the congregation to look at us like not real Christians and treat us like such. It's hard for me to connect with God when I have no one to guide me. I just left an SBC church for this exact reason. I had been a member there 6 years.
About 2 plus years ago I noticed the head pastor had stopped preaching on sin. Things were changing. Women were becoming part of church leadership. Women were starting to dress like prostitutes singing on stage. And there were rumors they were going to start including CRT into their classes. I asked a head deacon and pastor to meet with me so I could ask what was going on. They did.
It was far worse than I thought. All the new leadership, and half of the old, were flaming Liberals. After telling them they were violating Gods Word in love (by refusing to talk about sin any longer) and them saying they disagreed I told them to remove my name from membership immediately. Thank God in 2 weeks I found a good church that preaches His Word hot and with passion.

What you quoted from Charles Spurgeon hit me hard. I had a dream about a year ago or so, where I was knocking on a large wooden door, everything around me was like dark space stretching on forever. I heard a voice ask, "What will you do when you keep knocking, and He finally opens the door?" Then suddenly a giant slot in the door opened and I saw a giant eye staring at me, the iris part was like moving flames. I could physically feel it examining me in my innermost self, like it was flipping through the pages of my life at high speed and there was nothing I could do. I felt a magnetic feeling holding me right where I was and I felt so ashamed and unworthy to even be standing there I kept looking away and looking down, I couldn't look at it. Then I saw a door open to my left and I saw a dry dusty, smoky looking wasteland with skeletons walking and climbing over rocks and mounds. I thought it was strange that they could move since they were just bone, then I'd see blackened flesh start to appear on their ribcage and then wiggly disintegrate again. I thought it was odd that they seemed nice, like they would try to help each other up if one tripped and fell and I thought they were "Christians". I prayed about this later and I think absolutely it is for me, but also I was reminded of the story of the bridesmaids waiting, some were not ready or prepared. They went and had to get more oil, then came back knocking on the door expecting to be let in but were told "Depart, I do not know you". I realized there's so many of us who call ourselves Christians and expect to be let into Heaven when the Bridegroom (Jesus) comes, but we're not really ready. Our oil is not full (we're not full of the Holy Spirit and walking in His Spirit). We'll be crying out to Jesus to let us in and He will tell us to depart, for He does not know us. I pray my oil is full on that day.

The Law made me feel defeated. But in November, I prayed a prayer and repented and was filled with His Spirit. I had no clue what happened until days later but in the moment I felt heat and electricity run throughout my body. Afterwards, I felt so much love for Jesus and the Father with so much joy and peace. Now I never feel alone because I feel the Spirit with me and thank the Lord every day for forgiving me and saving me. Now my family is struggling to find a church because it really is not easy to find Pastors that preach of sin and conviction. Thank you for making this video. I am excited to meet you in Heaven one day Ray Comfort. God bless you!

Thanks for sharing. Here’s something you may like to consider. It makes sense to use the English language when we are speaking of Jesus to English-speaking people. This is because unbelievers (those we’re trying to reach) will have no idea Who we’re talking about if we refer to Him in a foreign language they neither speak or understand. We may as well be saying, “Put your faith in Иисус Христос.”
Many to whom I have mentioned this, respond despising the Name of Jesus with a passion, refusing to use it. I trust that you’re not in that category.
I was once preaching the gospel in the open air in Berkeley University, and was being angrily heckled by a man who was obviously demon-possessed. He hated it when I used the Name of Jesus, and insisted that I call Him “Yeshua.” He knew that my hearers wouldn’t have any idea of Whom I was speaking, if I used a foreign language.
Only one Name is used as a cuss word. And that Name is the English Name of “Jesus.” No one despises the name “Yeshuah.” They couldn’t care less about it. I wonder why?

Hello. What a lovely testimony you have. I have been a Christian over 40 years and never felt what you have with the joy and peace. I always feel alone unlike you. I'm 65 and have a bit of pain in my left calf. It could be caused by a blood clot as I am very over weight and diabetic. At 65 I feel I cannot go on with no family just a sister in the Lord who lives in another state. She's 82 and could even be dead. Have 2 ladies who see me 3 times a week but still have no fellowship. They are there just clean or wash my clothes. Sure we talk but it is not the same. I told God if the pain in my leg is from a clot it might be my ticket out of here. If it a clot and it breaks off and goes into the lung and kills me, good. I tell God what use am I , what am I living for? Sorry to burden you like that. I'm happy for you dear.

Absolutely. We need to walk with Jesus so that others can walk with Jesus. He is the Head of the Church [Colossians 1:18] so ultimately Jesus Christ is responsible for the mess, not us. It is up to Him to "fix" Hillsong, and this broken Planet.

Ha! Ha! Ha! It so easy to be misunderstood. Jesus is in charge of the Church. And the Planet. I was trying to say, 'Let's not take responsibility for the Hillsong mess. It's not our fault, and it's not our responsibility to fix the mess, or even necessarily to 'point the finger' (Isaiah 58:9) at the mess. Leave it in Jesus' hands".
We have a lot of overseas students come to Australia without the money to pay for their fees, or even to live, just a return airfare home. Which worried me a lot. But then the Holy Spirit convicted me through my young non-Christian house-mate, "It's none of your business". [But we like to make it so.] For freedom Christ has set us free.
When other people make mistakes, and even when we make mistakes, SOMETIMES it is helpful to remember Psalm 51:4, "Against you, and you only, have I sinned." Other people's mistakes, and our mistakes, are God's business alone.
And as you rightly point out, people do need to repent, and whether they repent or not is not something we have any control over.
      Thank you for commenting.

@@markj.ashwin4830 You're welcome, and thank you for your kind reply back.
It seems not many people these days understand the importance of repentance, as Paul points out in Romans 2.
There has certainly been a luke-warmness spreading in many denominations, and people aren't learning how to "mortify" (put to death) the deeds of the body, or there is this antinomianism spreading that people don't think they need to repent when it is actually God's goodness that leads us to repentance (Romans 2:4,5). But God's goodness, to lead us to humble ourselves and repent, seems to be drowned out by these types of churches. Any opportunity we have to show others through scripture how to overcome sin and the importance of repentance is something Christians should share more with others. I agree with you though that we have no control what others will do. It's the responsibility of the individual, in response to God's goodness, to obey. God bless.

Yes! This video says it all! The church pastors must emphasize the law to bring attention to our sinful nature. Then from there, we can truly appreciate the sacrifice that Jesus made on the cross for us and understand His salvation and grace. Too many churches today preach a false gospel of happiness, rainbows and unicorns. They don't teach about sin, repentance, salvation, or even about hell. This was an excellent video. It explains what most of the churches in America are NOT doing today. In the meantime souls are not being properly reached and taught the wonderful Gospel of Jesus Christ and many remain lost.

Awesome stuff. It’s good to be grounded. Of course keep your guard up but don’t get caught up in perfect theology because that produces no fruit. We shouldn’t leave one extreme to go to another. There is definitely hype grace with the “do whatever” mentality but then there is also 100% fear based teaching that can really hurt someone like me, an OCD sufferer.
Don’t forget, mega churches have more eyes on them, so it’s easier to see the corruption. I have watched many mega church sermons that relayed a message that I needed to hear at that time. But it’s also my responsibility to read the bible for myself and keep in mind of all the different opinions out there.
Law without love you become a Pharisee. Love without fear of the Lord, you become like everyone else.
I do believe that different churches will produce different fruit that some need to hear in there life to bring them towards Christ. Some churches ministry is deliverance, while others is more compassion. It’s good to have different ministry’s that all point towards the same message of Christ. If it gets them to open the bible it’s good because the Holy Spirit can work through them.
There are so many different denominations out there, different ministries and all of them can account for feeling the presence of the Holy Spirit. Is it because their doctrine is perfect? Nope. But because there eyes are in the right place.
I agree, how can we know grace without the law? Be grounded in this. We need to move away from performance based religion though at the same time. If people only have a fear based relationship with no love, it will be very damaging. Same thing for the hyper grace extreme with no fear whatsoever.
Grace is what actually made me stop a lot of my old sinful ways. The love of the Father through Christ, I was in awe and just couldn’t even bare to do what I used to do because of love (of course fear of the Lord too) ❤️
Changing hearts though comes in the form of love. Jesus changed hearts through love, compassion, and grace. Then again they wouldn’t know what grace is if they had no idea of the law right? I think most Christians are aware of the law. Share the GOOD news. Good news comes with knowledge of hell of course but in my humble opinion should be taught with love first otherwise it’s only fear and no relationship. All the love (you look like ringo star, love it!)

Well said.. there is a place for grace and there is a place for hell fire and brimstone preaching in evangelism. Jude 22-23And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire. ......both approaches produce results. But when a relationship with God is not cultivated and when one does not get into the Word, converts from both approaches can revert/backslide. True grace teaching produces transformation. Because when you know how much God loves you and you are in love with Him, you will not have the desire to sin(displease) Him. True grace teaching does not give a license to continue in sin. Sometimes it is the goodness of God that totally upends someones pride and self righteousness. Like when God calls them out in a meeting (for example) or through the word of knowledge (in street evangelism)and heals them of an incurable disease/chronic condition while they are deep and knee high in a sinful lifestyle. Or they feel the loving embrace of God while they are deep in sin,,,sometimes that does it. The goodness of God leads men to repentance. So both approaches work. Thank God for Ray and his passion. ...i just ordered the evidence bible by Ray

I started hearing the prosperity gospel in my 20s and I remember even then, I felt uncomfortable with it. Thank God our Church learned to shan it because the elders were mature in the Lord. They even started making fun of it but it was really difficult for other Churches who took it in. None of those preachers were invited in our Church and I was wondering why (my country is not US) but other Churches were always excited when any of them appeared. Slowly I started realising how bad, even dangerous that type of gospel was. It was never a saving gospel. It's as if Christianity takes one step forward and two backwards! Thank God for Reformed theology, if handled with care, it may be the only true theology that stands ~ and for the followers, look out, there will be a lot of persecution and attempts to water it down, especially the latter.

How could I have been so blessed as to have come across this message in my scrolling? I got saved almost 57 years ago, and I received the baptism of the Holy Spirit 47 years ago! 3 or 4 times I have slipped into a back-slidden condition, because I let the affairs of this world overtake me rather than maintaining my focus on Christ, and I'm Oh-so-sorry for it!! But each time I have returned with a broken and contrite heart. He's so loving that He took me back. And I am so blessed and happy that He did!! I am with Him now, and I aim to keep my focus on Him! There is no more time for slipping away or actually walking away. Time is short, beloved, keep your heart and focus on Him.

Hello Ray. I am a man that has struggled spiritually most of my life and I have always wondered why God keeps tugging at my heart. If I were God, I would have given up on me a long time ago, but I am not God, thankfully.
Living and leading a Christian life has been so much more difficult than just surrendering to sin. You continually give messages that leave me feeling conviction toward the Holy Spirit and that's a good thing. Keep it up, Brother, because my pain and struggles are all worth it.

Thank you for this. I have stepped away from my mega church called The Church of the Highlands. The pastor does occasionally preach about sin, hell and judgement but mostly it’s a seeker message with a prayer at the end. Is anyone familiar? This church is closely connected to Hillsong (sister churches?) and uses their music often. Smoke machines, skinny jeans, music to manipulate emotions we have it all. My biggest concern is the enneagram small groups they promote. I found Jesus in this church but now He is calling me away (I think).

This was me 💯 not knowing the the law and the power of sin in my life. Thinking I was a Christian but was sinning all the time. I went to church Sunday school baptism served in areas of outreach ministry..but never was taught about sin hell or how Holy God is..I was so lost and far from God sitting in a pew in a church and had no idea! I would definitely had repented sooner and acted according to be right with God if my sin was actually pointed out and Hell was emphasized. I didn't clearly understand the the Cross and how we deserved it but Jesus Christ took the punishment we deserve. I believe many others would wake up and see themselves as needing repent if it was actually taught. We need the truth not a good message and live blind and in a lie of false security. We serve a Holy God who hates sin. If we say we love Jesus Christ and are Christian we must hate sin and act accordingly. Repent of it honestly. I never cried so hard as I did when I realized by God's grace how far from the Lord I was because of my sin. Thank you Jesus for loving us and leading us. The Holy Spirit is the one who convicted me not a person or preacher. Reading the Bible has also changed everything in my life another part of being a true Christian that the church never teaches. God bless. Thank you Ray for all you show by the leading of the Holy Spirit and the word of God.✝️

Fear of going to hell to me is the number 1 motivator for coming back to God after being a Pastors kid all my life. Im now 53.
Fear is a much stronger motivator than " Jeaus loves you and has a great plan for your life" i used to think to myself who cares if Jesus loves me growing up. I want a woman to love me not him. To me this is the worst way to share your faith with people , it means nothing to oeople until they know why tgey need him...the cure so to speak.
There was no realisation of what his love meant to me until I knew what was in stkre for me if i died in my sins. 100% my evangelistic mothers prayers kept death the arresting officer from dragging me into Vods courtroom over 15 times in my life through near death ecperiences.
The word says " The fear kf God is the beginning of wisdom"
I fear God now (respect) for once you understand you are not a good person and that Jesus died and suffered for you anf was treated worse than an animal.
Its only then tgat you inderstand how serious God sees sin...its only then that it makes you weep for what you have done and its only then that you repent and become a real christian and not someone who falls by the way side.
The parable of the sower expains this succinctly.

I’ve withheld watching the documentary because I know what it’s going to say. Failed leadership is nothing new in churches and the good news is the Bible is filled with sinners who have messed up yet are saved by the grace of God (David, Paul, countless others). The bigger question we should ask is whether the filmmakers are actually wanting to change the problems that have created these issues and lament that they occur, or do they just want to poor salt on the wound, make some quick cash and bash Christianity in the process with no interest in healing people who have been affected? I have heard it’s the latter. The truth is God’s forgiveness and the reality of redemption are always the bigger “scandal” compared to the sin of man…that’s the real story the world needs to hear. Hillsong will continue to lead people to Jesus despite their faults, as with many churches. We’re saved by grace through faith…not by the church we attend or whether or not our church leader may have slipped up.

This is the reason I find it hard to go to church in my city. They're all fluffed up Hillsong style churches with no substance or preaching of the word. I used to be part of Youth for Christ in New Zealand and Ray Comfort would sometimes preach and bring the law just as he says in this video. It made a huge difference. We need this again as people need conviction from their sinfull ways. I have great respect for Ray!

Wow, that makes such perfect sense. Never thought about sin and repentance like that. I used to go to church (well several churches), but I never felt convicted about the doctrine; so I left. I don't even call myself a Christian anymore because I don't agree with the mainstream beliefs. I just tell people that I love God and believe the Bible to be His word, I try my best to follow it. That's it. I don't belong to a group like Hillsong or any other church I've gone to.

I've known the Lord for a long time and have been part of several congregations over the years. What I've come to see and believe is this...big churches are more apt to hide sin in the leadership and in the congregation. As a new Christian I was introduced to a Southern California ministry that is well-known and large with several off-shoots. It was exciting at first until the head pastor told me I was to be his wife. But he was married already with kids. Fortunately the Lord kept me in His hand and I came to realize this pastor was in sin. It was a bad experience. God help us, this stuff and worse as gone on for centuries in the name of God. Hillsong? Truthfully I never trusted their mission or commitment as I saw something suspect from the very first time I heard Brian Huston preach years ago. Everyone loved him but I didn't.

Thank you very much for this message, it is so timely. I just got rebuked for speaking truth from God's word, falsely accused as being "harsh." When all I want is for people to be blessed by being obedient to God's word. As I have been blessed as I have had to Crucify My Flesh to obey Holy Spirit. There is a cross to carry there is a flesh to crucify. There's no way around it for those who will truly be Christ's. The fellowship of His suffering, conformed to His death that we may attain the resurrection. I pray that as few will fall away in what Jesus predicted would be a Great Falling Away. That as few will fall away as possible. God help us to endure to the end that we be altogether saved and the hope of glory is truly realized! Amen.

That's the point - the minute you speak the literal word of God you get labelled or told Jesus loves everyone. Yes God is love and He gave Jesus Christ for us so that we can be in direct relationship with the Father. Jesus said He came to fulfill the Law not do away with it.

Amen pastor Ray! It is a blessing to have you as a pastoral influence in my life. I attend a large church here in southern Cali and just recently I’ve seen the pastor preach boldly and with more conviction. No matter who might be offended. If a pastor truly desires for his flock to be saved from eternal condemnation, then that pastor will preach biblically what God says sin is - not what culture or politics say it is. I was bought up catholic but not really if that makes sense. Christianity was introduced to me by my mother in law who is a WOG and prayer warrior. The baffling thing is that she is a liberal. I don’t understand this at all. How can a God fearing Christian be a liberal at the same time - I think that’s impossible. Not judging - just asking? God bless everyone.
