Literally just brought the Digitakt 2, thankyou for such an amazing tutorial, I cant wait to get started sampling stuff. Your tutorial has made a wonderfully simple ❤
This machine sounds different than dt1. I have not been able to make the same sample sound the same as in dt1. What I really hate are clicks that exist even in dt 1 but in DT2 much more while it should have been the opposite for this great machine. Thanks for the video!
Ah yeah I've heard the rytms also sound slightly different. I agree, I hope they update their algorithms or add a fade function to get rid of the clicks.
I'm confused....I don't have much experience with sampling, but everyone complaining about lack of manual slicing. you did manage to record a drum loop and then go in and take the kick drum....and snare out separately. Adjusting the start and end while trimming. So why is no manual slicing an issue if you can just do that???
@mresquidgeward5965 the main issue is that slice mode chop up the entire sample into equal parts. Sometimes you want to change the position and length of each individual slice like you can in Ableton. You can do it manually while recording but it's a bit more time intensive.
thank u so much

Congrats on the purchase! And thanks for the kind words 😀
thank you! such a good video
As a newbie this is a great video and has inspired me to try out some sample led beats! Thank you!
Excellent tutorial
Great tutorial, thanks bud!
Great tutorial, thank you
I didn't buy the V1 because it was mono with other limitations...but now I have no excuse... They did quite a job improving it... 😮
😃 There are still some quirks but it'll only get better
My first D2 I like it so far. Sent a message to elektron to implement something like a macro maker tool for live performance.. lets see what happens.
Great videos!
Super tuto bro 😎
🙌 thanks!
Good tutorial. While waiting for the fix on mono recording, I use the syntakt as an audio interface between mono gear and the digitakt 2 :)
Thanks, yeah good solution!
Did you record using a condenser mic, I doubt it no phantom power for it. Is the digitakt connected via usb? Can you please advise which method ?
Yes I used an external preamp
The recording length of the sample is very short. How long can the digitakt record?
66 seconds

Can you change the start and end point of each slice ?
Nope
