You are making a mistake : in most modes the LFO is bipolar, starting from the current slice selected in SRC page. If you slice your beat in 64 steps, set the current slice to 32, and your LFO depth to 32. It will then not land 50% of the time on the first slice.

Is it possible to play the whole one-minute sample among the other, shorter sounds ? If so then how?
In the advanced track mode you can select independent pattern length.
