    I couldn't believe how clear and blue that lake is. It is so cool to see more of the PNW. Thanks for your hard work!

      The hardest part is the video editing. This is one of my favorite locations up here. Mowich and Eunice are both beautiful lakes that make the entire beautiful picture pop. D

    My son and I went here earlier this year. It was a great hike, but unfortunately weather had set in and we couldn't see the mountain. Thanks for the video.

      It is definitely one I want to get in. Have stayed at Seaquest state park a few times and driven in to look at the area, but I hear the hikes that you need a permit/pass for are amazing!

      Have not tried at this location. Rumor is that since Rainier was sanctioned as a national park in 1899 these never got stocked and did not naturally have any. I have never seen fish active at Eunice Lake (the upper one on the hike). I have heard the bigger lake (Mowich) at the beginning has or had some triploid (infertile) Trout at one point in time. Was thinking of hitting it with a float and fish finder one of these days to see if there is any activity. Very beautiful up there.

    • @attentiondeficitoutdoors9134
      @attentiondeficitoutdoors9134  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi M, if you start right from the trailhead it is roughly 7.5 miles round trip. If you get there later like I did on the day I took video and have to park a bit further away it can be around 8 round trip. Bring your bug spray. This is one of my favorite hikes. Tell me how the hike goes. ADO

    I did this hike yesterday (Sep 17, 2022) as far as Eunice Lake - and can attest to the 'watch your fitness level'! You've done a nice job of capturing the beauty of this hike. As for how to improve it - get rid of the music montage at the end - nothing like electronic music to complement views of nature. 🙂

    Very informative video going to Tolmie Peak Fire Lookout. Great quality of this content. You didn’t have to pay a fee? It’s in National Park I’m just wondering it’s not in your video that you pay a fee or stop in the entrance to pay.

    I have to say it was strange to see other people on the trail. When hiking/camping I never saw another soul and I preferred it that way but until now didn't even consider others would be where I was. Of course some of my ventures were technically not legal onto federally protected lands ... don't judge me! lol

    • @attentiondeficitoutdoors9134
      @attentiondeficitoutdoors9134  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HA! I won't tell. This trail was not accessible without a 25+ mile snowshoe/hike up until mid July. Due to the tight window this place gets busy when it opens up. There are many other great spots that are not as well known. I plan to provide a mix.

      Hi TK, Mt. Si is another popular one off of the 90. This view from the Tolmie Peak Lookout is Mt. Rainier. I wanted to get some better shots with a nicer camera but the bugs were off the charts on this day. Thanks for checking out the video.

    What do u do for protection from wildlife/idiots? Do u carry a "day" pack in case I have to spend the night? Haha mountain bikes? Wow, a 3 day weekend hiking and surviving. Biking and surviving?....just saying

    • @attentiondeficitoutdoors9134
      @attentiondeficitoutdoors9134  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Brad, thanks for asking. There are a lot of washed out roads so in some cases up here riding part of the way helps reduce time and can be a necessity for reaching some spots. Most of the time I carry concealed, however, depending on how covered up I am carrying open might be the best for access. Finally I am always packing some level of the 10 C's made popular by many in the bushcraft community. I appreciate the idea. It is one heck of an idea on the 3 day or even more. You have my gears turning sir. Dustin
