Appreciate your video. I would only suggest that you PLEASE don't name the remote fishing spots you are going to... Two reasons - 1) as a lifelong resident of WA I am watching many places that are fun to discover on one's own (the old values) and were once truly "SECRET" are getting overused because interweb exposure is outing these fragile places. Not every video or location may be fragile, but avoiding the Hot Spotting should be done as a best practice. 2) Folks value these places all the more when they discover the "secret" on their own and finding them protects the quality of the experience. Making the experience easy only reduces the adventure and joy of discovery. Thank you!

Greenwood Lake is probably my favorite place on earth. Although it's nice to see your video, it saddens me because there used to be a time in my life that it seemed like very few people knew how to get to that lake. Every time I go up there now, there is a lot of trash on the trail and the areas where people can camp. This is one of those occasions where I feel like life was better before the internet. Thank you for being respectful of this beautiful area.

One of my most favorite locations, for just relaxation anytime I can get there. Did you happen to run into the Big hairy guy, with the bad odor while there? Had an experience during hunting season one time, Noone else on the ridge or at the lake, that I could tell, yet had the feeling of being watched the entire time while on the shore, and the air smelled like a city refuse facility. Still go back every chance I get. Would love to have a cabin there.

Excellent examples of several techniques on Mayfield. Mayfield is a great lake for a quick trip as on most days you can get a few fish or more, (especially in the fall of the year). Warm fall days spent with pleasant company catching fish on a beautiful lake always beats trying to boil, fry, or smoke golf balls any day.

Some good suggestions here, never thought of athletic tape for my 1st A kit. I pull the cardboard out of the t.p., put it in a sealable little plastic bag and just before you seal the last bit insert a straw and suck the air out as you completely seal it. I do the same with the dry ingredient mix (biscuits, pancakes, etc.) in the sealed bags. I have a dehydrator and vacuum sealer and make a stew (meat, potatoes, onions, carrots, beans, dry herbs and spices) that is light, takes up little space, and with just hot water a good meal that could be eaten dry as well.

@@attentiondeficitoutdoors9134 My Dad used to skin, de-bone, and finger cut his Bream and Bass, and put in a bread bag. Then he would insert a piece of hollow fishing rod and twist the bag around it and suck the air out and finished twisting the bag as he withdrew the straw, then he would tie an overhand knot in it. Then, into the freezer it went. None of it ever freezer burnt.

You can still buy actual USGI ponchos new from ORC Industries (the original contract manufacturer). They're like $40. Yes, they'll be UCP and not woodland, but they're the real deal.
