What is wrong with this Babboe/qwic battery?

In the video i say i DON'T know who makes the batteries. Now i know, probablly. On the discharge connector is says Hulong whis is probablly chinahulong.com now renamed to Jinhua Vision. Their ebike system is named I-Max and some models are named Qwic. However i cannot find the Qwic battery on their website so it might have been custom made for Babboe. Let me know if you know more.

The fuse holder and everything around will get hot and melt if the cables are too thin, bad quality, not connected properly and when the fuse holder is constantly exposed for high current for a long time.
They should have used thicker cables and a better fuse holder. Maybe the mini ANL fuse holder (bolt-on) that can handle up to 200A would be better, but because you use a bolt to connect it, it isn't very user friendly, but a melted fuse/fuse holder is not something a normal user can change anyway.
The ISO 8820-3 is rated for max 32VDC and 100A, but there are many manufactures and those that make batteries choose those with the lowest price instead of highest quality.

Inline fuse held in place with kapton tape - what could possibly go wrong??? The contact on the burnt side of the fuse holder was probably poorly connected or loose giving it more resistance than the 30a fuse. Not to mention that the ENTIRE 12 awg wire itself is the same 30a limit as the fuse. 🤦‍♂
