So many fascinating details! How amazing does it have to be to work with Aurélien Guichard, and to discuss perfumes with him!!! I have not had the possibility to try many of the Piguets and now I am even more curious, about them So far I very much enjoy Mlle Piguet. I just love the quality of the materials it is made of. The interview made me investigate Robert Piguet's fashion house..... amazing!. It is wonderful the perfumes are still around! I love how they maintain the original compositions and now offer some modernized flankers. Bayly seems to have had an extraordinary life....“I did talk to Guy Robert“....OMG

Piguet is a quality firm. Futur is my fav. I would like to try Casbah, but it's hard to find. Baghari is also great. Fascinating to see a face behind the Piguet brand.

I think Fracas is a copy of Jungle Gardenia from Tavuache that I love and was my wedding perfume and is so hard to find. I buy this Fracas because the reviews of this super sexy and iconic perfume and I find this amazing surprised that I fine a really good copy of my love Jungle Gardenia.

Well having introduced Bayly Ledes as a guardian of the classics, Fracas and Bandit she managed to survive the interview without one specific major question being raised: Bandit Supreme is not ‘a flanker’ ie existing alongside the original fragrance; it’s a replacement! My all-time favourite has been DISCONTINUED. Whilst there is still a photo of the bottle amongst the ‘classics’ page of their website Bandit is gone - no longer available to buy. It has gone from the shops; it is unavailable on line. Bandit Supreme however is being promoted up front on the Piguet landing page. This is what happens when a marketing person/brand manager replaces an artistic director. I shall have to use my modern Bandit sparingly and my treasured early 1950s parfum even more so. See also Guerlain axing Mouchoir de Monsieur just as they received an honour from the French Government as a ‘heritage company’.
Thanks for writing, Tim. I've checked with Ledes herself and she assures me that Bandit has not discontinued. According to her, there are some stock issues at the moment, which should be resolved in the spring.

Aurelien is an undebatable angel of Piguet. I adore his work in general, but that velvety and modern femininity indulge made for Piguet is wonderfu and unimitable. Long live visa, future, casbah, notes and calypso. Nothing to say on the Bandit dominance. Deciding between the two wings of puguetistas I am positively Bandit bent, not a Fracasian. But this female genius of the brand you spoke to is so cute and clever that i am now sure the brand' its heritage and Aurelien are in firm loving arms.

@@Persolaise id never heard of it before I ordered a decant, despite having a huge rose collection both vintage and current. But Aurelian has done a lovely work here with no oud or patch or vanilla to muddy the water. Pure!!!
