After 12 hours of a long day at work, no words describe how wonderful it is to find a video from you has been uploaded. Like a present on Christmas. This viewer’s location is in the US, South Carolina. Your 3pm is my 9am. You are brilliant and a delight to listen to and to watch. Your videos make my day, even if it’s the end of mine before I can watch. Thank you. 🙏 -Jennifer
Photojenic74 Oh my goodness, what a wonderful thing to say! Thank you so much 🙏 I have the best viewers!
50% Polish, 50% Iranian, 100% Gentleman. Thank you for explaning your nickname, yes it sounds a bit like personal mayonnaise but who cares? It definitely stays in mind. When I was searching for a suitable nickname for a perfume community I had the same idea, that I wanted something that sounds french and more sophisticated. Tu voir ce que je veux dire? It's the language of perfumery and such a melodic one. (Still keeping up with all the previous episodes...) Greetings from Germany 😙
That’s so kind, thank you. And yes, French and perfume go together like rose and patchouli.
As a 100% Polish I can tell you mayonnaise is a serious matter in Poland :) it always come to a question: team Kielecki or team Winiary 😁 (brands of mayonnaise...)
My first hazy fever-dream thought: Why is Michael Hutchence talking about perfume?
My second: He has a very thoughtful, intelligent perspective on fragrance. I approve of his new career.
😂 This literally made me laugh out loud. Thank you 🙏
And thanks for watching.
PS This is one comparison that’s never been made before.
So from the very beginning your skill for reading press releases has been very consistent;)
Is that a good thing? 😊
@@Persolaise one of the best things :)
Ah finally I got to the point where the appellation 'Persolaise' is explained from. I love that it is a complete neologism... also I thought it had something to do with Persia :)
Good guess 😉
Excellent reviews, many thanks for this!
Thanks so much for watching! :-)
We need more of your 60 second reviews!
Tracy Powell Thanks very much. I’m hoping to record a few more very soon, fingers crossed.
Mexico City here amigo......great stuff! Always looking forward to your next episode, keep them coming.
Hector Vindiola Mexico! 😁 That’s wonderful. Thanks very much for letting me know, and for watching.
Love the vids. Just found them. I’d love a video on Miller Harris. 😃 plus when I’m looking on you tube it’s so good you have a different shirt for each broadcast so I know what I’ve seen already! 😂
Rachel Grigg Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to leave a comment. And yes, the shirts have become quite a ‘thing’ 😂 I’ll have to make sure I wear a different one each time... although I don’t know how I’m going to be able to buy enough! 😆
OMG who wrote that Byredo blurb? Think I will pass on that one. Not a patchouli fan. But your shirt is very cheerful for a rainy day. I missed the live broadcast...again. Always late to the party...
Tante Lapin Better late than never. And yes, that blurb... 😂
As always, thanks so much for watching.
Oy, quite unfortunate packaging on behalf of Guerlain. Laughed out loud at your “Uncle Serge” comparison. Love narcissus - specifically in Caron’s original formulation of Narcisse Noir. Any narcissus suggestions? Thanks again for a lovely video. Nice combo for your blog name. Big fan. I’m from NYC btw, by way of Russia.
Thanks for watching and writing, and for telling me where you're from. I always enjoy finding out those details.
Narcissus... hmmm? First one that comes to mind is Ostara, but that's been discontinued.
I'm watching the first 10min of this episode for the third time! It's the best review of Velvet Haze I can find so far, even though it was only your first impression. ❤
Really? That's wonderful. Thanks so much for letting me know. And thanks so much for watching... three times!
Have you tried Velvet Haze yet?
Persolaise Perfumes, I just tried this yesterday. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I like all the listed notes, but somehow this blend felt a bit sickly. 🤐
That's a shame. Yes, there is a sticky quality to it, I guess. But thanks for letting me know.
Another great episode! Thank you. My favourite Penhaligons is Iris Prima
Thanks so much for watching, Michael. Iris Prima has lots of fans!
fantastic reviews!!
Beauty Meow Thank you so much!
I have and love Aura and know it’s not a good fragrance . I used to love Angel but these days prefer Angel Muse and some of the Angel flankers . Alien I have come to tolerate and wear occasionally.
If you love it, then don’t worry about what anyone else says about it 😊
Have a bottle of herbes troublantes. Love it so much.
Good to know. Thanks very much for watching.
watching via TH-cam from Melbourne, Australia. Weather 30C. Love your reviews.
errata Wow! Amazing. Thanks so much for letting me know. It’s pouring down with rain here as I’m writing these words.
Thank you for doing the video! I love these Love at First Scent reviews and your sarcasms. Have you tried Nicolaï's (discontinued) Le Temps d'une Fête? I haven't smelled Ostara but Nicolaï's is a gorgeous narcissus scent. About the Penhaligon's trade routes, I've only smelled As Sawira once, and I strongly agree with you that there's a fakeness about it, very "rudely" synthetic.
Thanks so much for watching, Bill, and for taking the time to leave a comment.
No, I don't think I ever tried the Nicolai you mention... and yes, rudely synthetic is a great description. I seem to remember As Sawira was one I particularly disliked.
Persolaise, your varied shirts also help me navigate through your video playlist when scrolling on a tiny iphone screen, since you’ve chosen not to follow the clickbaity giant-obnoxious-texts-on-thumbnails trend :) 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
MYSTERYFORMS Beta Oh dear, is that what I’m supposed to do: use those gigantic fonts on my thumbnails? 😂 I’m afraid I just go for the quickest format I can think of. But thank goodness the shirts have a use! Mind you, I’m going to have re-wear some of them soon. I don’t have an endless supply 😆
Persolaise Perfumes Haha, as long as you avoid wearing the same shade/colour shirt on 2 consecutive videos, we’re good! 😂 Keep doing YOU cos we appreciate you all the more for it!
Also, you not succumbing to clickbait tactics shows respect and regard for your viewers/audience ⚡️🙏🏼⚡️
MYSTERYFORMS Beta That’s really kind of you to say, thank you. And I have nothing but respect for all of you. I’m sure I learn much more from you than you do from me during the videos.
It’s funny you mention the shirts, because I did consciously try give myself a consistent ‘look’ for all the ‘scenes’ of episode 30 - black black black! 😂
I have also navigated by shirt at some point. Not always however.
😂
I only own one Penhaligon Fragrance and it’s Vaarra and though not my favourite’ I do appreciate its beauty .
Yes, I really like Vaara too. Thanks for watching :-)
Nice reviews. 👍
Thanks very much for watching 😊
I take tea black as hate milk and therefore struggle with milky fragrance and have Cream from Fresh and as I do love cream cakes ‘ I thought I could tolerate it but it’s a tough one to love but I do like it .
Oooh, I don’t think I know that one.
Persolaise Perfumes I will have to dig it out and think it might be fresh cream by someone else. Got from Harvey Nichols but wasn’t that expensive. .
It’s actually called Fresh cream and it’s by Philosophy! No wonder that you had never heard of it .
Watcher from the Netherlands here. Did take a whiff of CDG Concrete recently, as I feared I found it too sweet. BTW any plans to review Note de Yuzu (Heeley)? Cheers!
beftus1264 Thanks so much for writing. I have heard of the new Heeley, but I haven’t tried it yet. I’ll see if I can get a sample. Have you tried it?
I have got a bottle already... Bought it blind at the earliest opportunity. Saw it being described as Sel Marin with a yuzu topnote by someone who had smelled it. Since I love Sel Marin... While it's not exactly Sel Marin it does have a similar vibe to it. I really love the bitter/fresh/zesty yuzu note that lasts surprisingly long. Thumbs up!
Ah, fascinating. I'll have to check it out. I think Sel Marin is a rare example of an excellent ozonic scent.
M mink amazing fragrance
It's wonderful, isn't it?
A lit major should write a dissertation on perfume blurbs 😂
True 😆

Ah, you're in Sweden :-D That's wonderful. Thanks for letting me know!
Penhaligon's... When a brand attempts to dance to the tune of Middle Eastern money... 🤔 A little essay can be written on this 😂
I’d love to read it!
Thanks for watching 😊
The “unwashed hair” note might be phenylacetic acid.
Thanks for taking the time to write, and for watching.
@@Persolaise- you’re welcome; thanks for making your perfume videos. I thought that because of the “scalp” note in Mandy Aftel’s outta-this-world Memento Mori. Thanks for revealing the sentimental reasons for your nom de fragrance. I’d wondered if it had anything to do with the iconic Italian sunglasses.
@@themotiondoctor Ha! No. Although maybe I should start wearing them in some episodes...
Persolaise: (syn- “bienaise“) the attitude ascribed to those who wear stylish Italian sunglasses, drive sporty convertibles on twisty oceanfront roads, and stop frequently to smell the roses and other olfactory wonderments.
😂 I do actually drive a convertible!
Thsnk you
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for movie
Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching.
💞💓💓💓💗
Thanks for watching.
Do you think that the guys who write these ridiculous press releases’ actually are having a laugh and trying to spout as much purple prose claptrap as possible to amuse themselves . They can’t be serious surely 😂.
I have absolutely no idea 😂
