- Going over the oil I use and why. And going over the reason I’ve chosen this oil. Briefly go over some fuel additives I use also. I have a 6.7 powerstroke and maintenance is very important with these trucks. If your planning on making a trip to hunting camp or hauling your camper. You need to be sure your truck is setup for the best trip also.
Hot shots 5w-40 green diamond. 4 gallons (13qts required)
Motorcraft oil filter.
Fl 2124s
Hot shots EDT with every tank.
Hot shots diesel extreme at every oil change.
Motorcraft fuel filters every other oil change.
Change interval is about 7500-8k miles.
The best oil for your diesel truck is the one that you change regularly.

Super helpful. I live in Indiana and Im bummed because Im a fan of the kirkland oil but they only sell 15w-40 here for some reason and we can hit negative temps some years. Been looking for an affortable effective oil thats better for cold temps. Im in a 2015 6.7L PS
