Cold flow (pumpability) is the W portion. Acts like a 5W cold but 40W hot.
I run the rotella T6 5W-40 blue bottle year round most powerstroke owners don’t realize almost all of us qualify for “severe duty” driving…stop and go lots of idle city driving or hardcore off road/construction/towing etc.
Same and agree. Per the owners manual most everyone should be running 5w-40 based on what ford considers “severe duty”
Cool, but what does that mean in terms of which to use. Whats the difference when using heaver vs lighter. Is it just the temperature?
If both oils are the same quality. But different weights. The heavier should offer better protection in theory.
