Did you completely ignore the $170K factory price tag or the fact the idiot that owns this car has ruined it's true value by modifying it, and with only 400kms on the clock it's not even run in yet. You could buy and FG XR6 turbo and achieve this power for one quarter the price...

      FictionalTitan no i think you missed the point that this car is essentially a road rego race car... 410mm 6 piston monbloc brakes, fully forged dry sump ls9 motor, monotube supashock coilovers. This laps faster than the c63amg, bmw m3, m5 & m6, r35gtr around the track... plus its gone up from 170k to 300k already so its actually a fkn great investment!

      it has a built Motor look up the actual specs of whats inside the motor .. its a borrowed motor from GM, Lol it Doesn't just have a Pulley on it an injectors Lol... I seen one of those W557 walkinshaw W1s at WTAC this year it was disappointing as.. an when i found out it ran 12 seconds flat? at low ass trap speeds, When 100 % of the Engineering is from GM i wouldn't say it is the best Australian car ever built they even tell you what Chev the motor is out of in this Video.. just because it was all Put together in Australia.. doesn't mean shit half of the car is built in the Usa lol Holden known for borrowing engines off Nissan an Gm all the best models ever had a borrowed motor or gearbox or something in it, Lol
      When you talk about ford remember it is a world wide brand atleast Ford build motors for ford.. none of this borrow an Ls shit you see.     Sounds very smooth Would be fantastic with that lumpy cam sound at idle I have no idea if that would effect power out put. But it's missing that idle sound is all

    Great work Harrop, but i'd say hsv's carbon air intake would be restrictive. Anyone know what the air filter elements surface area size is? Must have to take the front bumper off to change the air filter.

    They’re surprisingly soft stock at around 335rwkw.
    I’ve seen similar out of the xr8 on ovaboost from the baby 5.0.
    Coyote is king of volumetric efficiency.
    The 6.2 LS donks just can’t match them pound for pound, and that’s a quote from a vid from ‘LS the world’ so it carries even more weight of truth.

      LS9 in a w1, LSA in a GTS, suspension is totally different, bigger rims on the w1, body kits all different, brakes r much bigger in the w1 and other details like interior trim, spoiler etc

      I know for a fact u can loose between 40-60kw between hub dyno and mainline dynos.
      Maybe look around as there are enough vids to show it.

      Flywheel maybe. Hub and wheel are the same thing. Traction on the rollers might lose a few kw max.

      The friction of the tyres on the runners plus the slip factor can see between 40-60rwkw difference from hub dyno to rolling dyno.
      My personal experience with many cars.

      James Aravanis at the flywheel.. as stated. It now makes that at the hubs. You lose a substantial amount through gearbox/transmission and tailshaft etc

    FG X xr8 owner here. 60k car drive away. $2000 yokohama advans. Fuel pump and tune on 98ron 440rwkw $2200. No pulley no injectors. Manual car ran 13 flat STOCK.

    Where is the value ? 470 RWKW is an easy get for a FG Barra turbo, and cheap too, I know, I have one. That is a huge engine.

      Yeah but on barra 470kw on 98 = big turbo with lag 430oddkw say pt6466 on barra is = to his though with added torque from the barra and turbo. But nar 470kw barra on 98 = shit to drive big turbo on e85 barra would do 470kw easy in very responsive pt6466 but what could this have done o e85! Yes i own a few barra's to hehe

      I had 460rwkw on 98 with a manual gtx3582 at 21.5psi, coming on gate at 15.5psi at 1700rpm and hitting 19psi by 3000rpm
      1380nm at 3100rpm as well.
      E85 @ 26psi was 540rwkw
      Only had crow valve spring and retainers at the time in a 2013 f6 block
      All on a mainline though had a bit of slip....
      Tried a dynapack for the e85 tune and hit 597rwkw. Hug difference in figures from roller to hub.

      xr6t gtx, errr... my Turbo FG will knock like a mofu over 16psi at high rpms using stock turbo compression and 30deg advance. E85 its where its at, 30 deg advance, 20psi all day. The only real limits are the traction available from 245 street tyres, even the Mitchy PSS had trouble hooking up. I also have a GTX3582, and it makes enough power to truley scare me on the street, and Ive owned 5 bikes. Beware, over 24psi, the GTX3582 gate cannot expell enough gas to control boost properly, hang on, its a wild ride. External gate is the answer.

      I ran that setup for 18 months..... with zero issues!!
      This is my second personal barra build and done a couple of others as well.
      That setup was very very good fun on the street 😉
      Why would u spend coin to get 450+rwkw and not get some 10inch wide or bigger rears?
      New setup is being done atm. Aiming for 650rwkw on 98 and 800 on e85.
      Gone from auto to manual and now fitting up a sequential as well.
      Ive pumped my guards now to so 345s will be on the rears 😎weeeeee

    The hsv tunes from factory are so shit.
    This power result is as expected from a manual transmission.
    There will be so much more torque now and quicker acceleration with the factory limiters removed

    Hub dynoes always read higher.
    Plus Harrop tunes are not as good as other private tuners. They always make more power

    Why is it that in every hsv or w1 video we have the ford camp sniffing around with the turbo Barra comments. Answer, the boss engines were a heavy gutless boat anchor and even THEY don't want to talk about them. The falcon had NO export market and the fg was an ugly outdated dinosaur. If the only thing you got to hang your hat on is a six with a hair dryer your truly desperate. Holden went out with a redline ssv as they're last car. Fords last. An fg six cylinder ute. That's ford all over. The w1 will remain the last and best muscle car. The last time I checked a bara is used for pushing around at building sites.
