I like to cube left over cake and put it in yoghurt with fresh fruit for a delicious dessert. The staler the cake the better it absorbs the flavours of the yoghurt and fruit.

Money is tight and food is expensive. Many of us used to eat out more than we'd like to admit, so some of these skills are new for us.. Things like this? Is invaluable. Please do more.
Especially when you’re decorating cakes and you have to cut the case down, you can use extra cake crumbs to top ice cream for extra texture and flavor. I did this when making confetti cake and it went well with vanilla ice cream 😋

My gran used to make this thing called a butter cake. You take leftover coffee/bundt/un-iced cake, crumble it all into a powder, add a butter and liquid mixture (sometimes she used milk, sometimes booze if she was going to make rum balls) and she'd essentially remoisten the cake with it. She'd pack that into a loaf pan, bake until warm, and serve it just like that, or sometimes with honey. I don't know how or why she came up with the idea, but it was a really good way to revitalize a dry cake.

I feel like the only person that loves a soft, moist pie crust that's absorbed a bunch of the sweetened pie juice. Crispy crust feels sad and joyless to me and so my favorite form of pie is one that has sat in the fridge for a day or so. Now I'm really craving pie.
When I messed up my sponge cake, I put it in a food processor to get a fine crumb, added milk and melted chocolate to that and made a cake roll out of it. Filling was just some whipped cream and vanilla. It was absolutely delicious!
One reason I hate fruit in my pastries is the gooey-ness. The texture makes my skin crawl. So adding leftover cake bits to remove that texture would help me
