Good day atty the new informative lesson I've learn a lot in this video. I also learned today the word "double jeopardy" it says that Double jeopardy is a procedural defence that prevents an accused person from being tried again on the same charges following an acquittal in the same jurisdiction.

Good afternoon atty! Thankyou for this lesson and for explaining the grounds for New-trial.
The Grounds for new-trial is there are some errors of law or irregularities which can be a substantial to the rights of the accused, for example he have the same case before but it become invalid and now he gets the same case this can be against to his rights. number two, new and material evidence has been discovered, for instance the guy married someone but the judge found out that he is not yet annulled to his first wife but then the judge found out also that before he got married his first wife died so he is cleared.
The grounds for reconsideration is error of laws or fact which will requires no further proceedings for example if the accused have been convicted and the case the is given to him for homicide is reclusion perpetua the judge will immediately grant the motion for reconsideration of the accused because it should be reclusion temporal.

Good day Atty., Thank you for another insightful video lecture today. After watching the video, I learned the relevant grounds for the new trial and motion to reconsideration. After the Judgment, it was possible to happen to have a new trial. There are two reasons for that. The first is that during the trial, there were errors in legislation or anomalies that jeopardized the accused's substantive rights. Second, new and material evidence was found that the accused may not have discovered and produced at trial with fair caution and that if submitted and admitted would almost certainly alter the verdict. It was an informative and profound video explaining the key points of how a new trial may come, hence, it gives us enlightenment and vital knowledge that we can use in our future field.
