Very nice tutorial, I just finished doing this modification on my stock exhaust and testing it, I definitely notice an improvement in low-end torque, especially in the uphills around my neighbourhood, where I had to pedal to keep the engine from dying but now it climbs them under its own power!
I had a jog pipe with small expansion on and then that was too loud so i put on stock pipe for first time... started noticing front end is jerky/bucking unless im going full speed....did you feel this too before the mod? Im thinking I need to either do this mod or really lean out my main jet...im at a 65 now at sea level
As others have said. Bolt is stripped. You could cut the nut off with a dremal, hope you don't cut into the bolt and that there is enough thread left to work with (using thread tape may help), or just take the opportunity to upgrade to a nice pipe or even the Mz65 clone pipe which I hear good things about.
I have been planning on doing this until I can get the Mz65 clone pipe then I will just use one of my factory exaust pipe, gutted, as the silencer. Until then I need to do something. Thanks for the comparison video.
Actually since then I’ve upgraded to a clone MZ65 pipe and a cheap Amazon silencer. You can hear a clip on one of my recent shorts. I really like the way it sounds!
@@barriosbuilds7688 nice I will check it out. As i was kinda thinking the amazon silencer. Just, you know its "amazon" need to hear the feedback first. I just did this mod to my factory. Feels better on the lower and truly isnt that much louder. Thie motor I am running is a G4 cylinder (I believe, due to the dots on the fin molding, the port size and dual channels) the jug is stammped "7MN", (I have others stampped "LD80" not sure which is the G4's. My "LD80's" are down, one was running great but the bevel gear spun out right after break-in, (poor heat treatment). Point? This motor I bought off amazon stampped "7MN" seems to have all kinds of lower but the top end just is not there. Gets to 40km/h quick but doesn't like to rev. Granted I am only halfway through break-in so I drive her somewhat easy. Tested wot a couple of times and its just not there. Worryingly, I can sometimes hear a bit of a rattle or like a clinking noise..... almost like there is a pebble in there. I pre-checked it, decked everything, port matched the mani, there was some overhang that I left as it wasn't interfering with the piston, that I could tell, so I figured I would get it later. So my questions are, is it possible I somehow managed to get er back together without getting the rings set in their resoective notches? Would I even of been able to get the piston in the cylinder if it they were not? Could it be that the rings just have not seated well enough yet therefor she makes a big of weird noises, (piston rattle), that should go away as she breaks in more and my top speed/revs will pick up at that point, provided I break it in correctly? Or do I need to pull the jug and check er out? Could it be this motor isn't a 40mm stroke "7MN" is a unit of torque measurement I believe..... Sorry for the long comment however I do reach out to the community when I need advice and visa versa. I hope your cool with that. Definitely going for the mz65 clone and sliencer now. I hear nothing but good things as far as getting a smother power band to top end coupleded with keeping er quiet and longevity. If building a racer, maybe a stinger or the actual Mz65 but for practical everyday purposes and sound. Yeah clone and sliencer. I have even heard a few running (on youtube) using a gutted factory muffler and it sounds sweet. Thanks bro, resepct 🙏
is it much louder, ive been using a cut exhaust wheres its just the little pipe at the top and its probably louder than taking the bottom of it off, i cant have mine loud because there hella illegal where i live
Are you sure it’s done correctly? Because if you just take that cap off Holly cow it’s loud. Like my ears were ringing afterwards. But with the mod in the video it’s so much quieter than that. I can actually have a conversation while the engine is running. I also rode the bike in a neighborhood like this, until I upgraded the exhaust. Check the channel for the exhaust upgrade!

Seems like a much better take off speed
I did this and a carb mod and its definitely a big difference especially up hills

gonna try it out tomorrow!
is it safe for the engine tho?
when i try unscrewing the bolt that holds the little exhaust pipe on, it just keeps spinning and wont go off
Stripped your bolt it’s gonna be a pain to get off if you haven’t yet
@@420_Blazin i used a grinder to cut off the bolt, now the bike performs a lot better

What kinda wheels are you using
They are the mag style wheels. Got mine from Amazon a while ago.
I need a set of mag rims too. What did you pay for yours?
Ok , I’ll be doing my first bicycle engine install next week , am I just cutting off the tip of the stock exhaust ?
Yep once you remove that cap, cut off that long pipe and put it back on. That’s it. It’s only a tad louder.
Thanks, appreciate it
